Alright, fellas, I think we're about to get started with. Uh, this is episode number 10, kid, yeah, yeah, season number 2, episode 10, right, raymond? Yes, sir, last one, how you say it in Creole Deez Deez In Spanish is yes, yes, welcome, welcome, welcome everybody to season number 2, episode number 10 of the Tech Hustle. It's your boy, bobby D, and I got the crew here hanging out with me. D Hustle, what's good with your player? What's going on Feeling?
Speaker 2good about the weather.
Speaker 1Oh, I know you are man.
Speaker 2Yes, sir.
Speaker 1And Raymond, how you doing player.
Speaker 3Not feeling good about the weather, diane. Oh my gosh Heater on all night heater driving here. Uh huh, hot chocolate coffee.
Speaker 1I like it, this guy, he needed everything. You should have brought out the chinchilla, right, that's it.
Speaker 3What you bringing out 60,.
Speaker 1right now it's about 60, 62 degrees down here in South Florida Beautiful weather, ladies and gentlemen, definitely want to encourage everyone to bundle up. It sounds like we're going to have another few more days of this, so Maybe the snow birds will leave. Yeah, that's exactly what it is trying to send them back home, right, All the traffic that we get down here.
Speaker 2You brought the weather down.
Speaker 1But yo big shout out to everybody for tuning in to episode number 10. Yes, yes, yes, this, this Deez Deez, there you go. Yes, in Spanish, in espaรฑol, but we got a real nice pack show for y'all today. We got some really good conversations coming up. Let me give y'all a quick rundown of the show here.
Speaker 1I'm going to kick off with a tech talk, talking about how does the internet work. It's a question that came in through our listeners, so big shout out to everybody that's reaching out and letting us know, definitely, definitely letting us know the tech and stuff that y'all want us to talk about. So we're going to enlighten you. Then we're going to have D hustle come on with some current events. It sounds like we got some new CEOs, Apples obviously doing something, something happened at Microsoft and a few other AI things that are popping up. And then we're going to have my cousin Raymond don't call him Ray Ray, oh my God, my God, he's going to fill us in with some nuggets, and y'all better tune in on that for real. I'm mommy waiting, for sure, for sure. And then D hustle is going to. We're going to spend a little clip on some sports this past weekend. I don't know everybody's predictions, but none of mine's came through. None of mine, I have been crickets, crickets.
Speaker 2It did not come too far.
Speaker 1But we'll get back into that with D hustle running that section and we got a sponsorship that we're going to shout out Big shout out to marvelous creations for us to start off, and we'll make sure we bring up some of her stuff she got going on and then I'll close it out at the end with a few more announcements. How's that sound?
Speaker 2Without the nuggets. You need the nuggets, we definitely need the nuggets Right.
Speaker 1How's that sound? Are y'all ready for that? How about the audience? What do y'all think? Y'all ready for that? All right, we're going to jump right into the tech talk. Here we go. Thank you, d hustle, for that intro. Our tech talk.
Speaker 1Today we're going to be talking about how does the internet work.
Speaker 1Now, one thing that I want to just quickly mention is I was listening to our last few episodes and we were definitely been talking about some high level tech and I've sometimes feel like I raised the bar a little too high, where I need to make sure I give some clarity for those that may not be familiar with some of the tech that we're talking about.
Speaker 1So I had a question come in from one of our listeners, more or less just asking hey, can you teach us something basic in the sense of if I go to a job and they ask me a question, hey, how does these computers work, or how does the internet work, how would I answer that question? So I was like you know what? I'll accept it because that's actually one of my interview questions that asks engineers especially if you're applying for a position in the systems engineering, cloud engineering, devops, even the software engineers. How does the internet work Like? If you can go into details and tell me I can off rip understand if you are real engineer of the internet, because that's what we are. Raymond, have you ever heard that question before in an interview?
Speaker 3I have not personally, but that's a great question though.
Speaker 1Yeah, for sure, for sure. So I'm going to give you all just a little bit of the nuggets and definitely appreciate you, raymond. I was jumping in and remember our newsletter is where you can really dive more deeper into the content that I'll be talking about. But I'm just going to give you some surface stuff. So one thing that I've always want to make sure I mentioned when I'm talking about how does the internet work, is number one, that the phones that we walk around in our pockets are actually computers. Let's get that first, and then our laptops, our computers themselves. But the second part of that is is that every computer you carry talks to another computer. Don't think that the cloud is just this mysterious bubble in the air, that there is nothing on the other end. Technically, you're talking to another computer. So one of the things that computers used to talk to each other is something called an IP address. You ever heard of an IP address?
Speaker 3Yeah, right.
Speaker 1An IP address is literally like a phone number for your computer, so that your computer knows how to talk to other computers and when that computer sends a packet back, which is a byte across the internet, back to it, it needs to know what the phone number is, right. But the thing about using a phone number is how many of you actually remember phone numbers? I remember yours, you remember yours, I remember mine.
Speaker 3I remember mine and maybe yours.
Speaker 1Yeah, right, maybe like two or three phone numbers In the days we used to have to remember phone numbers, right?
Speaker 2I used to have a book.
Speaker 1Yeah, we all had that book. The D Hustle said my book was kind of thick, though that was a black book. Yeah, a Rolodex? A Rolodex, right? Yes, sir, but the internet itself is the same way as that. We, as humans, we don't deal with phone numbers, we deal with names, like we do on our phone. But more or less computers also have this address translation service called DNS. You ever heard of DNS, Raymond? Yes, it's a name service. It basically converts your phone number into a name and converts it from a name to a phone number, and it's just like something called the yellow pages. Do you remember the yellow pages back in the day? I do.
Speaker 2I remember these jobs that they come, they write in the bike store and you let them pages.
Speaker 1Yeah yeah, for sure, and that was the only way that you could find about businesses, or they used to have white pages. You remember white pages.
Speaker 2Yeah, I was going to say that the white pages were there.
Speaker 1And you could actually look up somebody's name and find their phone number there. Yeah right, back in the days we really had that type of Rolodex and what computers actually invented was yellow pages of the internet called DNS, and that does names resolution. So when you're on the internet and you're going to a webpage like wwwgooglecom, igcom or whatever, your computer's automatically doing a translation saying, hey, you need to go talk to this phone number. Now, when your computer talks to the internet, there's a few devices that you have in your house. One of them you might just call it your Wi-Fi, right? Whenever I hear somebody say Wi-Fi, sometimes I'm like oh, do you know that there's actually more than just the Wi-Fi that you're connecting to? Right, so the Wi-Fi is your internal network, but you have to connect out of that Wi-Fi into something called a router that connects to a modem, right?
Speaker 1I don't know if you all remember back in the days, the modem, the sound of a modem. Do you remember that sound? Yeah, right, screeching, sorry, yeah, some crazy sounds. I know you went in there. Yeah, exactly right, the whole house knew you were connecting to the internet. Nowadays we don't have to do that because it's always connected, but that's more or less. Yeah, you know, just fill people in, especially for the new eggs Back in the days when we used to dial into the internet. If somebody else picks up the phone, it actually disconnects you from the internet because that phone line was taken by the internet connection. But that's just another 1980s, no, 1990s, 2000 era.
Speaker 2Especially when you're trying to record online while you're too.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah for sure. Yeah, when you're trying to download a whole album, it took you three days, but that's way back in the days. But back to you know, doing a name resolution Wi-Fi connection. But once you connect your modem to the internet it's just like a highway, literally you have access to all the other phone numbers and all the other computers on the internet and, with your name resolution being DNS, telling you what IP address to connect to you, go to your ISP, which is your service provider, and then your service provider sends you that connection to that data center or that location or where you're connecting to, and then, once it gets there, they process your request and they send it back.
Speaker 1Right, and I know this is like really simplifying the idea of how the internet works. Just know that the internet is literally wires connected all around the world. We've talked about it a few times on the show that Elon Musk is shooting satellites up there called SpaceX. No, not SpaceX, starlink, I'm sorry, he uses Spakessets to send it up there, but it's Starlink, these little satellites that now we don't really need as much physical wire.
Speaker 1But just know that there are literally fiber optic cables that run from one coast of the country all the way to another country. There's one that goes from here, south Florida, all the way to Europe. There's wires that go from South America all the way up here to United States. I mean, literally, just think of the world with a web around it. That's literally what the World Wide Web is and how we're all connected. Now I know we can go into more details about networks and all that stuff, firewalls and how do you build systems so that people don't hack into them and all that stuff, but in general, at the basic level, that's how the internet works. It's a phone number that we connect to, we type in the web page we go into. There's a yellow pages that does a name resolution and then it just sends the traffic there for you to be able to connect to it.
Speaker 2That's crazy.
Speaker 1Yeah, man, that's how simple it is right.
Speaker 2I wonder how much people spend on those yellow pages.
Speaker 1Oh my gosh right, how much money you spend just to make yellow pages. When you talk about the old days, how thick those books were and how many pages they were right. All the tree waste, yeah for sure. But now we don't really need as much because everything is available on the internet majority of it and definitely want to encourage you to develop this skill set and really understand how the internet works, especially us as engineers of the internet, and definitely want to encourage y'all to develop that. How's that sound y'all?
Speaker 2Sounds good to me, yeah.
Speaker 1Oh.
Speaker 3I had a question for you. Yeah, well, what up D? What's the statement? Oh, rain, I'm sorry, what up D Statement slash question. Yeah, so you know, when I first started getting into IT and computers and all that I had an instructor always told us, but I wanted to get your opinion on this he always said that internet is free. It's just how to get on the internet like how. The means to get on it Like we do is not free. That's why we get charged for it Is. I wanted to get your feedback.
Speaker 1Yeah for sure, like the internet is free. So it's almost like if you can get on the highway, you're good, right, you don't need to pay tolls, you don't need to pay gas. But once you to get on the highway highway you have to pay back. In the days they used to actually charge us for the amount of internet we used. I don't know if you all remember those different type of plans right On your cell phone.
Speaker 3It would like hey, you can only use 10 mag, you can only use a gig or something like that.
Speaker 1That's how they were making money off of us, right? Because they were like hey, we can get you access, but we're going to monitor how much you use and then we're going to charge you for that. And they've moved away from that because it wasn't really profitable. Because there's so many people want to get connected, they're going to make money regardless, right? But there's also this real crazy thing that, depending on where you're at in the world, they may charge you one price to get connected versus another. Like here in the States for us to get Comcast, what they charge out probably like close to $100 a month to get connection from your house, right?
Speaker 2AT&T has a one gig for like $85. Yeah.
Speaker 1One gig for $85. Right, and it's like that's what you're paying for is to get connected to the internet. Right, and they don't charge you to use the internet. So that's, that's where the that's the hustle, right there.
Speaker 3Okay, yeah, yeah.
Tech Talk
Speaker 1But if you in other countries, they they charge pennies and dimes to get connected and or you used your cell phone network, right? The cell phone network is just like your wifi at home. If you have 5G, it's almost maybe as fast as what it is at home, right? But there are some countries that are still on two G's, one G um. Their bandwidth is just really really slow. But the costs to get connected they're going to be a lot cheaper than what it is over here, okay, yeah, I was wanting to you know, get your opinion on that statement yeah, Me and I one.
Speaker 1One day we might have our own ISP network and people get connected to us through us, right? And we never know, Right? But all right, fellas. Well, thank you all so much for listening into the tech talk.
Speaker 3Thank you for that.
Speaker 1It's for nation they definitely want to encourage everybody to level up on this skill set, because one question I asked engineers is tell me how the internet works. So before we even start writing code or talking about system development stuff, understand the basics first. Another plug I'm putting there real quick we got courses coming out. Yes, sir, github link, yeah, yeah, throw it out there, right Out there. These courses are going to be talking about these basic things on how computers work.
Speaker 2Sorry, but this is real nuggets.
Speaker 1No offencing. So we have some courses out there, already posted on GitHub. They're all open source, so definitely check them out. We ain't charging yet, but before you know today's prices is. Yesterday's prices. How does this? How does this thing go?
Speaker 2Yesterday's prices. It's not today.
Speaker 1There we go. Thank you, d hustle. You know I butchered it, but you got it. But big shout outs, definitely. Yeah, I know I butchered it, it's all right, but anyways, definitely check us out on GitHub. We have some courses out there just throwing a little plug and definitely want to get everybody leveled up on these skill sets, including how does the internet work. All right, fellas, all right, thank you.
Speaker 1Thank you so much. Thank you so much, all right. All right, so it sounds like we're going to be running on to the next segment here. Let me see if I got something for D hustle. Let me see.
Speaker 2You got something for me. Oh, sure For sure.
Speaker 1Official breaking news, and why here at the Tuck hustle what?
Speaker 2up D hustle. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Beautiful weather today. I am your man D hustle here with a little bit of news like Microsoft lays off 1900 people. Microsoft lays off 1900 people from Bizarre and Xbox employees.
Speaker 1No boy Crazy.
Speaker 3Yeah, that's, that's crazy, but I kind of wanted to pick your brain on that. What up now? Microsoft admitted a few months ago. They came out and said they said flat out, we have lost the gaming wars. They just said Sony has won this. So do you think this is kind of in relations to that?
Speaker 1Yeah, I would. I mean, it's sometimes this is how they initially wave the white flag, in the sense of like acknowledging, you know, the margins that they have in the gaming industry. And if, at the end of the day, they're not making that bread, I mean you can't expect them to, you know, keep things and keep those doors open. So it's kind of crazy during this time where companies are really tighten the belts and finding these reasons to cut staff. But hey, if they're, if they're not getting the market share that you, they try to be the top company, right?
Speaker 3So yeah, it's just to speak to that. You know my son's birthday was a couple weeks ago.
Speaker 1Happy birthday Justin.
Speaker 3Yeah, so he made a mistake. You know, I went on Amazon to get him a you know a skin for his AirPods and I got him an Xbox skin and he was offended. He turned this. It was like that I don't want this. This is an Xbox skin. So that right there, just kind of relating to Microsoft, have they, you know they just, and with the kids, you know, they're just all about Sony. And my son was like I don't want this, return this back.
Speaker 2So I like it already.
Speaker 1So so basically, your son said you need to stay up on this game before you get on the show.
Speaker 3Yeah, so yeah, that just kind of you know, just that's crazy though with the 1900, but laying off the folks and yeah, like Xbox they, like you said they lost yeah.
Speaker 1They lost. There's some other news on that too. Right D hustle.
Speaker 2Yep, Yep, Yep. I mean from what they say in the air with that blizzard which is the president of Mike Yarber from Penalty Herrera has decided to leave Mm, but the good news is they promoted Joanna Ferries as president.
Speaker 1Oh, let's give her a round of applause.
Speaker 2Oh, shout out Taking out who you know. So, you lay off almost 2,200 people.
Speaker 1Uh huh.
Speaker 2But let's get Joanna, because somebody just gave up. But yo shout out to her.
Speaker 1Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 2Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful progress over there. She was the from what I was advised here was the general manager of Call of Duty.
Speaker 3Oh, ok, and that's another little thing off of this. So Microsoft bought Activision, right. We make Call of Duty, yeah, yeah, call of Duty is on the PlayStation, right. So that's kind of weird though, isn't it? Or is it not weird, I mean you?
Speaker 1know they have to keep their options open, right, if I mean, it's almost like back in the day, the Halo wasn't Halo only on Xbox, or something like that. And then it's like, hey, how many people actually buy Xbox to get Halo? Right, and it's like the shift turns away from that. Right, it's like, hey, how do you still keep your foot in the pot? Well, not, actually being the chef is to, you know, allow your game to be serviced on other platforms. But hey, this is the game that they're playing.
Speaker 1Right, it's they're trying to stay in the loop, but I don't know how long Microsoft is going to stay in that market too so you can see them split off and or somebody else acquire that asset and continue to make runs with it, but I don't think Call of Duty is going anywhere.
Speaker 3No, of course not. Yeah, they'd be stupid to like say, hey, we're going to only put Call of Duty on, you know, you know Xbox, or whatever. So yeah, but yeah, for sure, for sure, yeah.
Speaker 2But she was in 2018. She was the commission of Call of Duty and then her new role now is basically the president of Blizzard.
Speaker 1Yeah, she's running over there. Well, we want to send her big shout out to her. Shout outs Apple. What's up with Apple? I think every week we got something about Apple, Apple 18, just like one man, ramon, said.
Speaker 2You know they're going to have iOS 18. I have a lot, a lot of stuff, including AI. So right now Apple is still working on the next I, which we are on 17.4. I mean 17.3. 17.4 will release in March.
Speaker 1Interesting, interesting and expected to have.
Speaker 2You know trans kids for podcasts. You know updates for Siri New emojis, broken chains, mushrooms, slice of games.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2Dolan devices protection. I guess Apple's trying to do more things.
Speaker 1Trying to what? Do you think they're going to drop something with AI Raymond?
Speaker 2Yeah definitely.
Speaker 3It sounds like it, but it's going to be a while. Like D Hustle said, we're on, 17.4 is coming out and this is going to be 18.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3So this thing is probably coming out to what? 2025 or something.
Speaker 1Yeah, probably, probably. But hey, they'd better get in the game before they get left back.
Speaker 2Talking about being left back. You know Samsung now has the Galaxy 24 Ultra that has AI in it.
Speaker 1Oh, let's give them a round of applause.
Speaker 3They I heard that they're.
Speaker 1I heard that they're a conference they had last week or two weeks ago that AI was the front of all that conversation.
Speaker 3Yes, yes, yes, yes. Conference in Las Vegas. Yeah, ai was the big buzzword, so it's on everything now.
Speaker 1Yes, sir. So, but I will say we were talking about internet earlier, right, imagine what's going to play with this internet thing, or playing this AI. Ai thing. Like internet is that they're giving you away stuff for free, but eventually they're going to start charging for this stuff. Right, I think it's going to be a while before customers actually see how much they're going to charge and the impact is going to be, but they're trying to get you hooked with their services that they offer through AI.
Speaker 2So let me give you some good and some bad here. The good for the Samsung Galaxy Ultra 24. The good the screen bright and anti glare keeps it easy to outdoors. Ok Circle, the search and call Translations are being very handy. So very nice when you go out. But yeah, features on that. Camera quality is very excellent.
Speaker 1Yeah, they always come with it.
Speaker 2Yeah, I think their camera quality is way better, for me personally.
Speaker 1Am I? Yeah, I am the night phone. Really, yeah, I think so, I think so too.
Speaker 2I think they always at the front of the door, they always up there on top notch, I mean, if you compare the zoom is crazy.
Speaker 1I've actually seen that too. I don't know if you've seen that.
Speaker 2My buddy got my buddy hates Apple. Uh-huh, he's got Samsung. But I'm telling you, if the camera, I'm trying to do a zoom. So we did a zoom test on our phone to the moon. Yeah, I thought I was in the moon looking at his camera.
Speaker 1Wow, wow, big shout out to them. Yeah, I ain't got front.
Speaker 2They definitely got some good camera zoom and quality. My sir, and then seven years of OS and security updates, that's all the good that I have for seven years. Seven years of OS and security updates Got you. Here's the bad. The first thing they put up there is expensive.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2All right, that's the first thing they put up there. The price is $1300. That's nuts.
Speaker 1All right. Correct.
Speaker 2It is heavy and it has AI. Features are a mixed bag, just in case you did not know.
Speaker 3Yeah, question what do I care about having AI on my phone for?
Speaker 1I guess the thing is that first of all, it's a buzzword. Everybody's gonna use AI buzzword. Almost when blockchain crypto was first coming out NFTs everybody was using it. So it is a buzzword. But what they're saying is is that there are some Technologies that you can use that is built into the phone, that you don't have to leave your phone to go across the internet to go To run this AI functionality such as let's say I take a picture of something right and somebody's eyes are closed.
Speaker 1We've seen this already, where you can click their eyes and it Reimages their eyes. So their eyes are open. Samsung or the red eye you remember when red eye now? You don't have red eye, no more drawing camera shots right right those type of Enhancements happen the quickest if they run AI on the device itself, right? So that's those type of things that they're gonna be using and taking advantage of what commercial you seen this on? This is the tech hustle commercial. If y'all buy, you better use our link.
Speaker 2What's up?
Speaker 3Raven question for you guys, since we're all talking about AI. You know it's a big buzzword and we're talking about you know which phone has the best pictures and all that. Did you guys see that controversy last week with the deep fake AI pictures of Taylor Swift, the naked pictures? You guys hear about that?
Speaker 3It was her well, it wasn't her. Some kid or guy whatever made some fake naked pictures of Taylor Swift using AI and At one point, if you tried to search for Taylor Swift on Twitter, they blocked it. Wow. So they literally looked. It's so real that you know, yeah, this kid is probably gonna get arrested. I feel bad for her. So that's kind of one of the scary things with this AI stuff here.
Speaker 2So, yeah, I was hoping it was gonna happen, so I don't have to see her again. That's just me. Yeah so that's one of my other topics, so you took to that later. What's up into that?
Speaker 3Yeah, so just be aware of you, know we all got kids and everything like that. This thing is getting out of control with these deep fakes because of that's how powerful AI is.
Speaker 1So it is, bro. I mean, I mean it is. And when I first saw it, bro, it was like and the way it remind me of is when the internet first got invented like the first time that I was able To do something like connect to the internet, it blew my mind. Yeah first time that I seen AI do animation, response, conversation, imagery. It's at a different level, but the thing is is that we need to either catch up or you're gonna get left behind.
Speaker 3So yeah, I don't like the. I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but I hate the bad that you can do with it. Like you know, like it's targeting like kids in high school, like they're doing revenge porn on. Yeah yes, it's crazy so, but yeah, just it's scary man.
Speaker 1I mean, when the internet first came out, everybody was terrified of it. Too right, and until they started put some garro Still stand by the statement.
Speaker 3That was a mistake.
Speaker 1Ah, come on right. It's the best invention we're able to access anyone in the world. But yes, there are so many other negatives and downsides of the internet and I think we're going through the same thing with AI. So just bear with this wave we're on. But yeah, it's gonna really scar a few people though.
Speaker 2But I know they're not ready for it.
Speaker 3Yeah they're not ready for my defects, they'll be scarred. Come out some defects.
Speaker 1But you know what they ready for it's that time, it's that next segment. What's up, my guy? So let me introduce the guy. His name is Raymond Ray Ray, don't know. No, don't call him very, don't call him a big shot. I see, what's up player. What's up?
Speaker 3Bobby D, what's up?
Speaker 3Do hustle all right man, so that you know, gonna lead into my first nugget, here got two questions for each of you Individually. So first off, the hustle. You're a big movie guy, right, are you, sir? Okay, you're a big movie guy. And also, so Don't know if you have seen or heard we had a major, major Outage on Friday. A couple days ago, this big company's Website, an app, went down. This kind of tailors to you, bobby D. How does a major company like AMC, which is the biggest movie chain in the world, mm-hmm on Friday they came out with the pre-release, or they open up tickets for Dune 2, which does not come out until March 1st, but the pre-sales open up on Friday, and it literally crashed their website and their app. How does this happen? By?
The Future of Technology
Speaker 1this. Let's give him a round of applause first, coming out with that. Let me tell you one thing that you all have to be mindful of is, when I talked about how does the internet work, I said something in the light of when your computer being your phone or your laptop connects to the internet. You're talking to another computer. Right Now that other computer has a limited of how many people it can talk to at one time. Right, some of that numbers could be in the range of a thousand to ten thousands, or hundreds of thousands of people that are connecting to it All at the same time.
Speaker 1So what you have to do is you have to build computers that allows for more than a Thousand to a hundred thousand connections. If not, you're gonna go knock on the door and it's gonna be like nobody's there. Yeah, right, and literally, if they're not prepared for that traffic which they should have been right, it's a big movie announcements. I don't know what's up with their Engineering's over there, but hey, let me not bash them. It is a difficult job predicting capacity, but in general, you should be prepared for something like that, and what basically happens is is that too many people Connected at the same time and the door was just not open.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, just trying to understand, this is 2024, like you said like I mean what kind of equipment or how are they not prepared for?
Speaker 3this yeah yeah, on Friday. So I don't know if you're a big sci-fi guy or not the hustle, but you ready for that movie. Cannot wait. Doing two comes out March 1st. Yeah, I don't know if you've seen the first one, d hustle or not, or yeah, I cannot wait. Me and my son are just so hype. So, yeah, on Friday the tickets went on pre-sale. Doesn't come out to March 1st, but it crashed the MC's website in their app. Yeah, probably not gonna watch it the first weekend, so not gonna watch it first weekend.
Speaker 1Yes, I'm gonna watch movies when it first comes out.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2I can't hear people chewing all these. Why you watching the movie?
Speaker 1but I'm sorry to cut you off the man.
Speaker 2Did you see? Don't like movies. Did you see the new row house coming out?
Speaker 3Oh, yes, what movie is it? Road house? Yeah, it's like a remake of the word. That looks good, it's good, we're really ripped for that.
Speaker 1Yeah, he did it rip rip rip oh yeah, this chance.
Speaker 2Check that out.
Speaker 3Yep, I did see that 2024 is gonna be a great year for movies guys.
Speaker 1Well. Well, now they have to be prepared for their site to go down because so many people's gonna hit. So, all right, what you got up, what else you got on the list playing?
Speaker 3all right. Since you know, we're talking about computers a lot today and we're talking about, you know, internet and everything like that. I want to give a shout out to Elon Musk doing big things. We did talk about Starlink. This guy's doing big things. Tesla I don't know if you guys heard, but he has a company called Neuralink. Oh, I heard about this one. You're really so. They just had the first human trials of implanting a computer chip in your brain. So are you gonna sign up for this? I see the face on D hustle here. So he's got a company called Neuralink. I'm relaying the information, so how much?
Speaker 3I'm not sure, but you know the first one. He gets it for free though, or he?
Speaker 1or she, I'm not sure if it's a guy.
Speaker 1So but, I will say so. So basically, what it is is that I read about this company Loki actually was almost interviewed with them when they're actually Installing these chips. That re listens to your brainwaves as you're thinking about certain things, and those things that it's listening to Actually translates into actions. So it's like, hey, I'm looking at this button here and I'm thinking about pressing it. My wave, my brain sends this wave that says hey, he's pressing a button, and then it actually presses the button. Like it's really crazy what they're working on, but I don't know if I'm ready for yeah, and who's voluntarily signing up for this?
Speaker 3like Bobby D says, it sounds really cool. It's gonna do some great stuff, like, for example, if you know Somebody a human or whatever loses their limbs and legs and supposedly you're gonna have this chip in your brain and it's gonna be able to control a robotic arm D hustle or a leg and it's gonna be able to detect Neurological problems and stuff.
Speaker 2Talking about old-school movies. I know I mentioned how you call it total recall. Total recall yeah, terminator yeah yeah, but have you seen Hobbes and Shaw?
Speaker 3When.
Speaker 2Idris, when Idris?
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2The bad guy, oh yeah, yeah, but that he has a computer chip already in the back. Yeah, yeah supposedly he has died In the movie, and then they re-bonged back to life as a computer wave slash with that chip in there. Just like Terminator Wow.
Speaker 1I mean, I'm a little worried though I am, I'm trying to figure out how they feel, that who they test.
Speaker 3Just had the first human and supposedly the first person was there, though alive persons alive so far. The first Progress, they saying it's pretty good, the initial.
Speaker 1Yeah, the initial yeah I had seen the tweet that he said he said like. He's the person, the individuals recovering and the initial test. I don't know. They cracked his head open to get that thing in there for sure.
Speaker 3But you know that's all positives and all that, but let me give you my beef on this thing.
Speaker 2Here we go.
Speaker 3My beef. And problem with this is you get this chip in your head, bobby, d&d hustle, and it starts advancing. Come on, you are going to have like. You are going to have like these two people, tapi, dude, hey, you were Randall Legit Google in your brain all the time, uh-huh. So it's gonna make you like the smartest guy in the room. It's gonna give you an advantage. That's not fair.
Speaker 2I like like. I don't like that.
Speaker 3It's like you're gonna have Google in your brain all the time, but it's not fair if I'm paying for service and I'm supposed to be outsmarting everybody? No, I'm not that's giving you an unfair advantage.
Speaker 2No, but he paid the extra mile.
Speaker 1And he went through the surgery. I thought he was going a different route.
Speaker 2Once they plant the chip and you had do you feel like you're gonna be controlled?
Speaker 3Oh yeah, I wasn't going that route. I'm going like it's unfair advantage yeah.
Speaker 2I hear you but hey, what about that movie? What was that movie that Bradley Cooper did, that he took some type of oh shoot, that he took some type?
Speaker 1of limitless yes, limitless yeah. That was a good movie great movie.
Speaker 2Yeah, basically takes these things away in the vans.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah knows everything had the upper hand from everybody for sure going on me millions and like less than a week less than a week, yeah, yeah, that's not cool. Yeah, that's like that. That's like an extra dose of Adderall types.
Speaker 3Yeah, that's not cool.
Speaker 1Yeah, but yeah, I don't know where this is all going in terms of us being really connected to these devices and computers.
Speaker 2I don't think we're gonna see it in our hand we're. I'll think the next generation will probably have a Better view, or of that.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2We might see when we really old. Yeah, yeah, yeah by that time. And now he tells me I'm gonna live another 15.
Speaker 1The house is it? I'm there. I'm next in line. I.
Speaker 1Put me in the waiting list now, yeah, you know, and, and you know what I low key, and this is like north star thinking. I do this sometime when I'm really just thinking about when technology comes available, and I thought about this when I first thought of AI is. Imagine our consciousness being stored in AI, right, and then your AI being accessible by your grant. Great, great, great, great grandkids. Right is that your memories and your experience in life potentially could be stored for any generations to come. But now imagine them being able to plug in directly to your experience in life by having a chip in their brain, like I. I'm saying it's, it's soon coming, bro.
Speaker 3Listen to what you're saying. A chip in your brain, a computer chip in your brain.
Speaker 2I'm telling you, bro, it's happening, it's gonna happen and I want it, but he wants it.
Speaker 3Like yeah, I'm divided.
Speaker 1And, and you know what the other thing is, is that, and then I don't mean and you made me think about going left a little bit but imagine the military or what they have access to now, if, if, the, if, the out in public. We're doing this already, or? We're doing this now and did the reason why I bring this up and back to my first talk about how the internet was invented. The military was the main reason why we started to talk about having this internet right, so that was invented and worked on before, so imagine what they are already doing now right, I always the military is crazy perfect example.
Speaker 2Let's really two movies that's not Captain America. Yeah, yeah, yeah, military.
Speaker 1Yep, yep, I'm telling you it's, it's, it's common, raymond, we just got to be prepared. Pause. But in general, you just got to be prepared.
Speaker 2Yeah, well, I love those nuggets baby.
Speaker 3Yeah, sure thanks a lot, raymond. Well, yeah, go see Dune too. And yeah, you know, sign up for those Neuralink chips.
Speaker 1I like it. Oh man. Well, thank you so much for even for giving us some good insights and nuggets. I think we got next up some more current events stuff. Let me see if I got a little bit of something.
Speaker 2This guy's gonna butcher me no, no, no no no, no, no.
Speaker 1All right, d hustle, you're up.
Speaker 2What's up playing? Listen, man, I was getting back to your boy over here. That's crazy. That's crazy, that's fucking, that's crazy. In front of but Tila Swift is killing me right now.
Speaker 3Oh my god, marla the whole black and brown nation down.
Speaker 2Every time Kelsey does something do I have to see her picture.
Speaker 3I agree with you, I agree with your brother, yeah but when nobody talks about Olivia Cooper Cooper.
Speaker 2Olivia Cooper is Christian McCaffrey's wife. Oh, fiance. No, okay way looking way. Looks way better than Taylor Swift.
Speaker 3I'm sure picture what she looks like. Oh, okay, yeah.
Speaker 1Well, that's, that's the NFL, and I think it's really the NFL that's pushing this in terms of media and ask you you, bobby D and D hustle question. Do you?
Speaker 3guys think this relationship is real. Taylor Swift and Kelsey you don't see them kissing, you don't really see them holding hands in public. I mean, is this thing real?
Speaker 2I don't know real for the internet, yeah okay but we're real for the listeners and watches.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2So it's Matt, it's manufactured cheese was gonna go all the way as soon as you. Taylor Swift, yeah, well dude.
Speaker 1The other thing is is how about all these state farm commercials? Like it's not, like I can't get away from the freaking cheese bro. Like every corner I turn, yeah, it's like over there.
Speaker 2It's just your new Americans team. Oh, because I'm not the cowboy. So who we got?
Speaker 3I'm gonna give him yeah, but I think we're burned out from the cheese, so I'm done. Yeah, I'm totally sweet Taylor thing has put it over the top for where people are against him.
Speaker 1Well, I will say I'm looking for the Niners to pull it off.
Speaker 3Taylor Swift. Up to the Super Bowl. I'm gonna blow my brains out.
Speaker 1Oh man, oh man oh man. But, uh, you know, did y'all see him at the game? Hey, the Detroit game. He was definitely Thawed it up a little bit letting them, let the fans know how he feel.
Speaker 2Well, the fans got the revenge back, so let me give you exact who's going on. Kansas City we bought some more. I was disappointed. Yeah, I thought Baltimore was gonna make it happen for me. Yeah, lamar, later dud or you bought some more listeners that I lost money and you guys listen, we need a real. A week was going on over the important.
Speaker 1Wow.
Speaker 2My man's running. He's looking for the deep, big, humongous shot. Oh, del Beckham finally steps up at the end. They never did it to frame the, almost forgot he was in the game.
Speaker 3Yeah, he was non-existent.
Speaker 2Yeah, you know, they flowers. Try to do his thing. Stupid play at the end trying to dive, knowing that he could have just hold on to the boy, but he was hungry, mm-hmm.
Speaker 1I saw something. Yeah, it is what it is.
Speaker 2Uh, lamar took that loss. Pacheco started doing some crazy crap. Couldn't stop Pacheco. Pacheco was doing his thing, but it is what it is. Yeah, detroit hurt me.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's, that was another.
Speaker 3Yeah, campbell, he's they're gonna do at 30 for 34 on this. Yeah, oh yeah, on how to lose a game. It's already working on the 30 for 30.
Speaker 2Wow, man, that game confused the shit. I mean, how are you up 17 points?
Speaker 1We cannot close San Francisco, I mean well, they went into the half and they had it. Somebody talked to him for sure, though.
Speaker 2Do you think they're through the game?
Speaker 1Ah, nfl script writers are working OT that weekend, so I mean who goes four for four, I mean goes down, goes on fourth, with a field going in your pocket right there. They're kickers solid.
Speaker 2I don't get that. I couldn't understand them myself.
Speaker 1That's the part that I just didn't understand.
Speaker 3What? Yeah, you live by the fourth down and you die by it. Ah, it is what it is. Go down for the field. Go, dummy. Always take the points, Take the points.
Speaker 1I always take the points and force them to drive the ball down.
Speaker 3Yeah, I don't understand that thinking. You know it's not complicated.
Speaker 1And also think about the momentum on the other team. You on the defense side prevent them from making their fourth down right and then, all of a sudden, that momentum shifts right to the offense. And what's going to happen? They're just going to run it up, I feel bad for.
Speaker 2Detroit. Two years of San Fran. Ladies and gentlemen, is your Super Bowl prediction. Who do you think you're going for? I'm going to have. Unfortunately, I don't want none of the above, but if I had to pick one, I will pick San Fran.
Speaker 3Yeah, that's what I want, San Fran. How about you? Yeah, san Fran as well, I am over.
Speaker 2My predictions might not go well, because I did say LeMau versus Detroit and they both hurt me.
Speaker 3Yeah, everybody was picking that.
Speaker 1Yeah, actually that's the game that I wanted to see Detroit and Baltimore but I mean, hey, I'm going to support the Niners, they're definitely in.
Speaker 2You're from the Bay.
Speaker 1I'm not from the Bay. Come on now. Don't play with me like that.
Speaker 2I spent some time out there. Every time I say what team are you going for?
Speaker 3No.
Speaker 2You know it'll be San Fran because I'm in the Bay. No, no, no I'll eat some San Fran's of the offense Nah you didn't know it. Fun fact, Raymond, when I went to San Fran to visit this guy. This guy did not rep Miami one time.
Speaker 1Are you kidding me, bro? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 3That's blasphemy.
Speaker 1No, bro, ask him what was my and this is actually a trivia question, especially if anybody I work with at Twitter Ask them what? Don't you know your profile picture that they show you in terms of when you're as an employee? My profile picture was a Miami Heat hat with my red shirt on Representing Home Team. Come on now Give me a round of applause for that. That's cool.
Speaker 2He was really going for Golden State, because that's the time I was going to stay with him.
Speaker 3Of course Nobody's going to stay with me no, no.
Speaker 1Actually, when I first started working at Twitter, that's when LeBron was still in Miami.
Speaker 2man Jaden help me out here, jaden, let's be real. No, bro, jaden wanted to go to the state. Everybody was a Golden State fan at that time.
Speaker 1Well, the kids definitely were a little bit Golden State, I know it because I had to hear from you guys.
Speaker 2Oh my god, golden State, that's basketball team. But what about the heat? What about them?
Speaker 1Oh, no, no, no. But you know what? I throw some support to Niners away because they treated me well out there in the Bay and I got some good friends that I know are loyal fans over there.
Speaker 2Are you here at your first, ladies and gentlemen? Bobby's going back to separate Because the Dolphins didn't make it just to let you know where his heart is at.
Speaker 1Yeah, I got a roof for one team. I'm definitely not rooting for the Chiefs, so I can't do this no more. But let me ask you this If they win, do they get a, like you said, america's team like goat status, you know, like New England, like, do they get that type of bar when they, if they win?
Speaker 3Definitely. Patrick Mahomes is in goat. He's already in the goat competition.
Speaker 2Well, he's the most valuable MVP. I'm sorry, MVP.
Speaker 1MVP Most valuable bundler.
Speaker 3State farm.
Speaker 1Yo, he's definitely getting a check, though let's get him around the plus and minus.
Discussion on Sports and Upcoming Events
Speaker 2And Reed is getting a check. You know what this guy Kelsey Kelsey. For me it's like the new Gronk.
Speaker 1What do you guys think I?
Speaker 2see him. I see Gronk and a whole bunch of commercials. God bless the guy. He's doing a lot of faking commercials everywhere, but now I see Mahomes taking almost.
Speaker 1Yeah, for sure. I mean that's where everybody's putting their money behind right now, so he's the best. But I will say it definitely feels a little rigged to me. I ain't going to front.
Speaker 3And I said the NFL, their pen, the writers were on fire this weekend.
Speaker 2But in basketball news my nicks are doing well. I guess anybody wanted to know. Lakers took a dump of gun, just in case they got a lot to that too. Oh my god. You see, other than that man, the good season is.
Speaker 1How about the heat man? Put the heat up all day man, you know what?
Speaker 2The heat got a good pickup, they got a rosier, they had some good trades, can't complain.
Speaker 1Guess what's up, but Big shout out to the Heat Nation.
Speaker 2Shout out.
Speaker 1Oh, you're going to laugh at them?
Speaker 2Yeah, because they lost against the.
Speaker 1Suns.
Speaker 3One more little basketball nugget here. I want to just kind of throw this out there that I no longer am liking the Greek freak. So he first came in, guy was lovable, likable, but he's just become that player now that you can't root for him and like him. Now he got his crappy brother on the team who sucks. He got a coach fired and they hired another coach, the same, not even 24 hours. There's got to be some and you know it's all Greek freak Come on now. But uh, is he hanging out with LeBron?
Speaker 3I knew you were going to go there so I knew you were going to go there, but yeah, no.
Speaker 2He might be hanging out with him. He's not likable.
Speaker 3LeBron didn't get his brother on the team who sucks this guy's?
Speaker 1brother sucks, hold on. Lebron got a son coming up next.
Speaker 3Oh, that's At least his son went to. Lebron got a brother. No, I'm just saying I mean, but I mean it's come on. He got the coach fired. He got his brother on the team. He's complaining about Jersey's not being washed. I mean, no, I'm like I'm done with this guy. He's not likable. So D'Hussell, come on.
Speaker 1Well, that's coming from Raymond's nuggets right there he put it out there and offered it. I hear you. I hear you.
Speaker 3Chasing the guy through the locker room. D'hussell for the ball. Come on, this guy is terrible. Well, what do you think, D'Hussell?
Speaker 2Are you talking about the incident that the guy was shooting free throws and then they took the?
Speaker 3Oh, I heard about that one. Come on, All these antics this guy is doing. He's not likable.
Speaker 2Yeah, he's hanging out. How about this? I'll put this, I'll make it easy for you In the All-Star game, if LeBron has the Greek free, then you already answered your question. Yeah, what do you think? Real deal with that? Other than that, ladies and gentlemen Black History Month coming up next month Just want to give you guys a heads up For sure.
