We keep getting rid of everybody's jobs with AI. Who's going to buy the products If you get rid of me? You and you, who's going to buy this stuff on Amazon and Walmart and all that stuff?
Speaker 3:But if you're controlling it, the money will come to you.
Speaker 2:It's not going to be AI that's going to take our jobs. It's going to be the people that use AI that's going to take our jobs.
Speaker 1:If you make music with AI, you cannot copyright it. It's free. Elon, if you make music with AI, you cannot copyright it, it's free.
Speaker 3:Elon Musk finally put out the humanoid bot out. What do you?
Speaker 2:guys feel about it. My only problem is that there was also a report that said even the ones that he had during this big event that he had a few weeks ago that there were actually people behind it controlling it, and that's the part of this whole homage that they're creating is like hey, that's actually not what you're going to buy.
Speaker 3:This is what we think it's going to look like what we're working towards.
Speaker 2:So I don't know how close we are to it. My only worries is Welcome. Welcome everybody to the Tech Hustle. I'm your host, bobby D. I got my guy D Hustle. What up man? And my cousin Raymond Don't call him Ray Ray, you finally gonna look at the camera. He got the memo, so he's saying what's up. Well, I want to say thank y'all so much for pulling up here at the Tech Hustle. It's been a minute since we've been recording fellas.
Speaker 2:We've been, you know have a lot of episodes out there, a lot of pre recorded content and we was doing some conference trips and stuff like that. So sorry audience that haven't seen the most recent update of us, but we definitely got some stuff on the streets. We got a packed show today and actually before I even go through the show list, I want to give a big, big, big round of applause. Give it to them, d Hustle. For what?
Speaker 2:I don't know if y'all been checking out our YouTube page lately yes but our YouTube has been popping and we're over 1,000 subscribers Big, big shout-outs to y'all. Raymond, you going to show him some love? Raymond's in his own world.
Speaker 2:He's like 1,000. That don't mean nothing, kid, when we get to 10,000, maybe Now I'm just messing. But yeah, big, big shout-outs to you all for following subscribing, being a part of this community. We really do appreciate it and this is the reason why we're going to keep pushing, because y'all finally finally finding us and pulling up. But let's go through the run of show. But yeah, 1,000 followers, 1.6. 1.6.
Speaker 2:We're about to kill it. We're about to kill it. In today's conversation, I'm going to be talking tech talk, tech talk. I'm going to be bringing up a conference that we all went through last week Big shout-outs to Black Men in Tech.
Speaker 3:Shout-outs to them.
Speaker 2:They run a conference called Thrive Conference down here in Fort Lauderdale, south Florida more or less, and we actually pulled up. So they had some really good content, really good people, and I got to run into some of my old peers and friends of mine in the industry. And then I'm actually going to be talking about a topic Raymond had brought up the other day a new AI tool from Google called what is it called? Notebook LM? Right, right, notebook LM. It's a really, really cool tool. Raymond thinks it's going to kill our podcast game, but I'm only seeing it as adding more fuel to our fire for us to be able to kill it in the streets. Afterwards. We'll jump into DeHustle event tech current events see um. And then raymond's nuggets. We're going to get a chance to hear some nuggets. Raymond has on his list here something about a search engine, um, and maybe even cover some health stuff, so that that's going to be really cool, um.
Speaker 2:And then d hustle's back up on it, uh, with uh sports that's it sounds like baseball um had a little tough, tough ending, but we'll care to catch up. Yeah, all I know is that y'all did y'all thing, though Y'all did y'all thing, but we'll cover that a little bit later, and then we'll have some sponsorships and then an outro where we'll talk about some more community stuff and things like that. What do y'all think about that fellas?
Speaker 3:Yeah, sounds good.
Speaker 2:Yeah, sounds like a good one. I feel good about it. How about you audience? Y'all ready for it? Yeah, I know y'all are Tuning in. Thank y'all so much for tuning in. Thank you so much, d Hustle queuing that up. We're about to jump into our tech talk this afternoon and first of all I want to say big, big, big shout-outs to the squad for pulling up at Thrive Conference down in Fort Lauderdale. Black Men in Tech is the host of it. Big shout-outs to Cam and your whole crew. Y'all definitely did an awesome job.
Speaker 3:Shout-outs to them over there.
Speaker 2:And the messed up thing is that this is right after we dealt with the hurricane over here in Florida. How did y'all do with the hurricane?
Speaker 3:I did good Did you Got a couple of chairs moved. Yeah, y'all do with the hurricane. I did good. Um got a couple of chairs moved.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it wasn't bad for me if I don't have to put stuff inside my house.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, you know, um, but it was good, it was raining, uh, had a tornado. Shout out to that, had a tornado first tornado around my neighborhood.
Speaker 2:That's so good about it. The hurricane was good, but the tornadoes on the other hand.
Speaker 3:The tornado really did mostly yeah.
Speaker 2:That was some crazy stuff though.
Speaker 3:I killed a tree of mine which was. I'm upset but I'm happy that's maintenance for me. You've been trying to get rid of that tree Like a champion. I'm glad the Lord did it. The Lord came through. I told him I don't want it. He gave me that wind.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, tilt it over just a little bit. That's all I needed. Yeah, yeah, he said I need more space in my back. Yeah, definitely, yeah, man. So, like d hustle said, we, we didn't catch it as much over here on the east coast of florida, but the west coast of florida, we want to send them a big shout out. Um, we know that y'all are probably still dealing with it right now, um, and definitely all our uh hopes and prayers and thoughts are going out to y'all, um, holding it down. Um, and yeah, man, this hurricane season has been a little bit crazy, because I don't think I've ever seen a storm do do what it did in terms of coming up on the west coast, heading east, and then how powerful it got uh so quickly. But, um, I don't know about y'all, but I think climate change is a real thing, um, especially if these storms are doing what they're doing and we're not even done with hurricane season yet. It's not until the end of October I'm in November, right.
Speaker 1:I can't wait.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but anyways, that hurricane almost threw a wrench in us actually going down to Fort Lauderdale for a conference called the Thrive Conference. Big shout out to them again for hosting that. We really do appreciate y'all representing South Florida definitely, uh, setting a new standard for everybody in the conferencing scene, because I also seen a few other conference ceos at that event, which is always kind of like I enjoy because it's supporting each other right. So I've seen the ceo of the render event. Uh, black is tech, the one that we went out to houston. I saw him there. Um, obviously, cam was there holding it down for his event. But in general, what what I'm really enjoying is is that they're actually building a community amongst them to really bring some really cool um scenes and experiences for people that intent and, yeah, big shout outs to ted lucas, what would I plan I?
Speaker 2:forget about d house is that yo don't forget about?
Speaker 3:Ted Porsche 6 and 0 Porsche Unbelievable.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, porsche Campbell Smith. My lady Resident guest here on the show and she ran into D, and D was like yo guess what. She talked about the Kansas City.
Speaker 3:Chiefs, kansas City Chiefs, that's right. They're the only undefeated team still right.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's some crazy stuff.
Speaker 2:Good, they're the only undefeated team still, yeah, yeah, that's some crazy stuff. Good congratulations to you. But yeah, so the conference itself is a tech conference, um, hosted annually here down in south florida, in fort lauderdale, right on the beach, actually, which is a really nice spot. It was a little rainy but, uh, we made it work, um, and they had some really cool talks, um, some really, you know, relatable talks.
Speaker 2:I even had a chance to speak on stage, too, on a panelist about being black in engineering and more or less the challenges that I had in developing the skills and also, you know, taking it to the next level by working at, you know, companies like Twitter. But in general, it just gave us, in terms of people of color, a space for us to feel number one, welcome, number one, you know, seen, seen and definitely enlightening all of us on the journey that we're all taking, because some of the situations and stories that they talked about are some of the same things that D Hustle, myself or Raymond had, his experience being that we've been in the industry for so long. But it's just so great to have a space that, you know, people can really speak up and talk about their challenges. Another cool talk that I that I had a chance to sit on in is, uh Marlon. So big shout outs to Marlon. Marlon was uh. Marlon Avery, uh was also at the conference and he got a chance to interview a few people about AI.
Speaker 3:So you know I got a chance to catch him.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was it was the second day he said what's up, though he definitely appreciates, uh, us being out there and supporting him and, in general, uh, these conversations about AI were really just enlightening on where our industry is and where our community is and how far the industry and community is almost, you know, spacing apart, and what I mean by that is that we don't have still our community enough people using this tool called AI to learn and develop, while everybody else in all these other communities are, you know, getting million dollar evaluations for companies or coming up with ideas over the weekend and you know, being able to create really cool applications for it. And the talks were really just focusing on giving resources, but also experience and knowledge about what AI is going to be and how we need to, you know, step up our game so that we don't get left behind, and any talks that you all enjoyed or or had a chance to jump in on at the conference at all uh, yeah, I did like uh, one of the panelists.
Speaker 1:They were just kind of, like you know, going off and saying different things about ai. I didn't know that. Um, if you make music with ai, you cannot copyright it oh, it's free. So if you make any type of music with ai, so it is not free.
Speaker 1:You have to make the lyrics off of your brain that is copyrighted, so I thought that was interesting so explain that a little bit more so I don't know if you guys remember, with the kendrick lamar and yeah, uh, drake battle, there was a guy that went ahead and made fun of Drake. He made the song called BBL Drizzy.
Speaker 2:Ah, yes, I remember that.
Speaker 1:And that took off. He made that with AI so he cannot copyright that. A bunch of people spinned off of it and made their own versions of it.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:So apparently he can only make money off the lyrics, but the actual song is open to anyone, so that was interesting.
Speaker 2:Yeah, song is open to anyone, so that was interesting, yeah, so, yeah, yeah, I mean that's that's the thing with ai is that they're going to be so many new regulations and ways that we're going to have to learn how to, you know, develop, um, but my question is is that, would you still listen to the song if it's created by ai?
Speaker 1:uh, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 2:I feel some type of way about that, yeah, but but let me ask you this do you want to be notified? If it is, or would you just not to be, not to be notified at all?
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, I'm not checking for an. Ai artist, I mean, I mean yeah, I don't know, I feel weird about that. No, yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah, your own AI artist. I mean that is cool. If you could make millions of dollars, you wouldn't create one, or you're just going to watch somebody else make that money.
Speaker 1:We already saw what happened with the guy who made the fake dollars. Well, come on now that guy.
Speaker 2:That guy decided to go, you know, manipulate the system and basically make millions of dollars. That's a little different, though, and basically make millions of dollars, that's a little different, though.
Speaker 3:Like I said, he got the Lambo one week and then next week he wanted to go on a yacht. Let me boost this up he went.
Speaker 2:He was crazy, he was hungry.
Speaker 3:That's what happens. Would you listen to an AI artist? Yeah, I'll give it a shot. I listen to new era hip hop now.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean. I'll say my opinions about it, but it's tough.
Speaker 3:We're listening to it, in my opinion I rather listen to that than the mumble rap yeah, yeah, of course.
Speaker 1:I mean look at the backlash, like what drake got when he used the ai to you know, you know, use the tupac voice right, yeah, and how well did that go for him I know it got bad everyone hated it, so just that's how I feel, like with the ai thing.
Speaker 2:I think you got to give it a try, raymond, okay look what happened when he did that.
Speaker 1:Everybody thought it was lame, but but my thing is, is that if you don't even know it, then how are you going to know?
Speaker 3:it's lame, okay remember when he did that. It was it's uh, it was a battle that he was having with Kendrick and unfortunately he lost that one, that side. I mean he did get a good verse before, but you know.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm just talking about the aspect of him using the AI to mimic Tupac's voice. I think Snoop as well.
Speaker 3:I mean, that was a little reach. I don't see nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 1:I don't see that was creative, but people thought it was corny.
Speaker 3:Because I remember I was talking I think I was talking to you a while ago about the hologram they did. Oh yeah, On the concert. And they mimic his voice, and I don't see nothing wrong with that. Yeah. Because it's an experience. You get to see them walking, or whatever the case.
Speaker 2:Of course, yes, I can do that mimicking, but yeah, I understand that raymond, it's a new, it's a new thing out there. Yeah, I'm just once. I'm wondering if they're going to put these new labels on it. Don't you know when they became no, not known but when they added labels of content that's going to be like explicit and stuff like that, like they put a label on it. I wonder if they're going to do that to say, hey, this is ai generated, or something like that, to at least give people you know an opportunity to say no, I'm not going to listen to it because it's ai, but but I think it's going to be some fire.
Speaker 3:Here's the thing why we we have to say is ai generated? If not, so let's say, if I put out some music and you think it's me, and you're going to have a different point of perspective If it's me. Or or if I tell you, hey, it's AI. If you say it's me, ah nah. You can't do the crap by yourself.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:You know what I'm saying. Or if it's AI, oh my god, you still can't do the crap by yourself. Yeah, yeah. It's uh, but if I give it to you, what I've seen is AI and you like it and you bump your head like boom, boom and then you were like, oh man, you did good yeah, yeah yeah, heads up, it's ai, and then is your opinion gonna change after that?
Speaker 2:oh, I mean, I know raymond's opinion. Yeah, definitely, we know raymond's opinion.
Speaker 3:Oh yes, I can't. It's ai man.
Speaker 2:I thought he was the man that's not let me soon, as he hears that it's a rap there goes all the soundcloud rappers, I mean, I mean me.
Speaker 2:I'm just looking forward to the quality of music is going to take another leap in my opinion. Um, because of the lyrics that are going to be generated versus what we're listening to right now, because our music right now is it's too too, too too much mumble rap, like d was saying, but also just too much uh like, uh, adult type stuff, like they always talk about smashing and stuff like that, and I'm like yo, do y'all hear what y'all saying? Like, are these lyrics really conscious, right? I'm hoping that ai makes brings back conscious rapping. I don't know, we'll see, we'll see what happens, we'll see. But that was definitely a really good talk over there at the conference and you can see, obviously the conference itself had some really good heavy hitters and really cool topics to cover. Conference also had some company boosts out there. Big shout out to Intuit.
Speaker 3:Shout out to Intuit Seen Intuit out there McDonald's Corporate.
Speaker 2:Was there McDonald's Corporate? And big shout outs to the Source. You said Ted Lucas and his crew, Hillman and all them what's going on to the source and definitely a big shout-out to all the vendors out there Shout-out to Jonathan too Great picture of a black man in tech out there having a poster that I should send it to you.
Speaker 3:Picture of who Of him with the helmet that he painted oh yes, that guy that did it yeah.
Speaker 2:Jonathan, yeah, that's what's up. So just to give you all a little bit more backstory, there was, uh, an artist that actually came to the event on a blank canvas. He was a blank canvas that it started off with started over the blank.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and drew it up.
Speaker 2:Yeah, while you talk, I'll go ahead and uh, yeah in general, it was like from a blank canvas to actually drawing a really great artistic picture of a race car helmet yeah with the with the uh thrive logo and, oh my gosh, that thing was amazing. I didn't even know. I thought it was like a picture that somebody took and then, yeah, d was like he was watching them do it the whole time.
Speaker 3:Yeah, Great picture. Great, he did everything good.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he was local too, right.
Speaker 3:Yeah, he's local, he's in Fort Lauderdale. Yeah, it wasn't AI, they are not at all. Now you got jokes. Now you got jokes. Now you got jokes. Let me show you his picture here real quick just for the audience, but I'll I'll put it up in discord for you guys. Yeah, that was fire that yeah you saw the.
Speaker 2:I seen it the day after it was in the cut um by where they were taking like the, the red carpet picture yeah, he drew that from scratch.
Speaker 2:Amazing job, but yeah, so, uh, overall, I thought the conference was a was a hit, uh, regardless of the weather. Uh, and they also had some really cool after hour type stuff. Uh, we didn't pull up much to those, but I've seen some pictures online. Um, I definitely will say cam and his whole team really put something really nice together, and I can't wait till next year. But next year I want to be on the main stage though. Cam if you're listening to this, put your boy on the main stage.
Speaker 3:I'm already celebrating. He's already on, I'm not even worried about it.
Speaker 2:I'm trying to be on the main stage, but I definitely appreciate the invite and, yeah, big shout-out to y'all as y'all continue to grow this conference. This is our second year in a row going.
Speaker 3:So we'll be there, man.
Speaker 2:I texted him. I was like yo, where you at? He was like yo. I went to a restaurant down the street and I was like, isn't it raining outside? It's raining, I was like, all right, let me go run down the street and go catch him.
Speaker 3:Jimmy said I've done this crap before.
Speaker 2:It's a walk for me, colleague of mine that I used to work with uh down in south florida, uh, at the south florida, south florida ornament, no, no, I'm sorry at the uh school board of uh broward county because he was a systems engineer but also a database administrator there, and I remember the first time I ran into him was uh, doing a job for uh, you remember that company.
Speaker 2:I used to travel domestically, internationally, um, cisco, cis, cis or sisco a security identification systems and they used to have a visitor management Cisco CIS or SISCO Security Identification Systems and they used to have a visitor management system for all the schools. So when you go there it had to take a picture of you, take your driver's license and they let you know if you can come in or not. But anyway, the first place that we ever set up a very massive cluster, because you imagine how many schools there were, meaning we had to create more than one server. Jimmy and I were the ones that set up the load balancer the cyber security more than one server.
Speaker 2:Jimmy and I were the ones that set up the low-balance server Cyber security. Yeah, he's definitely one of the brightest stars I've ever had a chance to you know. Chop it up with and definitely see him grow, because now he's in the cyber security. He runs a huge cyber security community on Clubhouse. Yeah, and we'll keep it in. We'll add him to the description so you can go check him out, especially if you're thinking about cybersecurity. He'd be one of the best people to learn from, because he can teach very well and he has a wealth of experiences Very smart man.
Speaker 2:Big shout-outs to you, Jimmy. Really appreciate you hanging out with us. Can't wait until you come to the podcast so we can come talk some ish over here.
Speaker 3:Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2:All right, fellas. So the next thing I want to talk about is and I'll make it quick because I'm already running what 15 minutes in is a new AI tool called Notebook LM. It's a.
Speaker 2:Notebook LM. One word, and it's by Google and I basically have a picture of it over here, but inside the Discord I'm going to drop a YouTube video talking more about it. But the thing that I want to just prepare you all in terms of just these tools that are coming available are number one. All of these are are free, so get access to them and they're free, free, free, 99 free.
Speaker 2:Let me tell you free 99 five finger discount, whatever you want to call it. These things have the ability to really change your life if you use them, and and these tools are free, especially this one from Google. Now, the cool thing about this is it's basically using AI to aggregate your data in terms of like files let's say documents, let's say audio recording and you put them all into this one space and then you're able to talk to the AI about it, not only just being able to get information. So let's say that I'm and I'm just coming up with this off the top of my head let's say that I'm a college student, I'm about to attend a class let's say it's on calculus and I have a book that I'm going to use in the class, um, and it's the class book. But I also have some material that, um, the teacher has given us as a resource.
Speaker 2:What I would go to is Notepad Notebook LM. Go, download the PDF of the book, download all of the material that the teacher gave us and put it into this just one notebook. Now, this notebook is going to be specialized to be able to help teach me, answer questions and or one of the cool features create a podcast on that topic and that's what Raymond has stumbled upon it because Notebook LM has the way, has the ability to take the topic that you've added all the resources for and give you like a 10-minute podcast about the content, and it actually sounds really, really good. It actually sounds like two people are talking and, before you know it, what Raymond's talking about is like hey, we might be having competitions for podcasts generated by AI, especially if Notebook LM is already able to do this.
Speaker 2:Yeah, what's your opinion about it, raymond?
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's pretty cool. But yeah, that is like you said. The pros are good. Now I'm just thinking about the cons too. Am I going to be out of a job here? Yeah, yeah, yeah, no.
Speaker 2:Living a better life.
Speaker 1:That's funny yeah but it sounds interesting. Yeah, one of my um ex co-workers had hit me up. His son's a doctor and he put his whole dissertation into it and he was like blown away, how like it kind of like made the podcast and it kind of told him some stuff he didn't know and he was like, oh man, my son has a phd and he was like blown away about that thing. So, yeah, that's how I found out about it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, so, but yeah, it's definitely going to change the game. And the other thing that I want to just prepare you all is they're going to start to charge for this stuff, so you'll have to use this stuff as soon as possible. I'm looking at the interface right now. I just logged into my Google account, my regular, regular gmail account. I went to notebook lmgooglecom, it automatically logged in and it's just asking me to upload files. Remember, you're uploading files and content about a topic that you want the lm or the ai to really just give you some research, giving you some more information. But yo, this is really changing the game and I want to give you our public service announcements. Please go check this out, learn and develop and utilize these tools. Um, because, just like at the conference, someone on stage said like, hey, it's not going to be ai that's going to take our jobs, it's going to be the people that use ai that's going to take our jobs so what you're saying?
Speaker 3:this is that reem is not going to use ai somebody's going to take a job, he better get on.
Speaker 2:I'm just saying, bro, because he's going to get left behind. I didn't mean to, he doesn't want to use AI. I'm telling you, bro, all I know is that this wave is coming and on our show we talk about it a lot, and I just want to encourage you all, if this topic is something you're interested in, follow along, come and holler at us, bring up some new tools, comment in the descriptions below about a new AI thing that you found. I mean, we'll bring it up on the show here and talk more about it. But, uh, yeah, so thanks a lot. Uh, thrive black men in tech. Uh, good job, google coming out with a really cool product called notebook lm.
Speaker 3:And yeah, uh, that's all that I got for our tech talk today, fellas yeah, I hear you raymond's not gonna get the surfboard because he doesn't want to ride the wave. No, he don't want to. You know, raymond remind me, have you ever seen that movie Deep Impact?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:When the dad and their daughters just hugging each other and just looking for the wave.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he goes.
Speaker 3:I wish I would have got on the wave.
Speaker 2:Raymond, you got to catch this wave player. You got to catch this wave.
Speaker 1:Got to catch this wave. Gotta catch this wave. I mean I'm all about catching it, I just don't like. You know the cons Of you know, that's all.
Speaker 2:Actually, you're just always on that other side Just to give us that purview, so I do appreciate it Just keep an eye open.
Speaker 1:I'm just saying you know, if we keep getting rid of Everybody's jobs with AI, who's gonna buy the products the AIs are?
Speaker 2:gonna buy them. That's what with AI. Who's going to buy the products? Yeah, the AIs are going to buy them. That's what I'm saying. I mean, who's going to buy this stuff If?
Speaker 1:you get rid of me, you and you who's? Going to buy this stuff on Amazon and Walmart and all that stuff, yeah.
Speaker 3:But if you're controlling it, the money will come to you.
Speaker 2:And that's probably one of the best advice I think D-Hustle has dropped. It's like yo. If you are the person behind it all, all that bread is coming towards you. So, let's build some products. Let's build some services, build AI agents. We talked about it here on our show.
Speaker 3:I got something for him in a few after we finish here.
Speaker 1:I'm just saying you know less people paying taxes, less people buying the goods and services.
Speaker 2:Man, you need to get on the political side of this, because you already hitting hitting a nail, like how much taxes are going to be lost because of AI. That might be a big topic to bring up. Well, all right, fellas. Well, we're going to move on to the next section of our talk here, our podcast D hustle. You're up player.
Speaker 3:I am up. De hustle. You're up player, I am up.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna keep this short and simple and sweet because we got a big uh segment coming up, uh after here preparing, everybody preparing everybody, uh, iphone 16.
Speaker 3:Ladies and gentlemen, everybody got iphone 16. 16 is out. How do you guys feel about it? Are you guys getting it, not getting it? Uh, well, let's wait until they fix the random restart. What is it? As of right now, iphone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models are randomly restarting. What Just randomly.
Speaker 3:That's crazy, but good news, 18.1 is going to fix that bug Already, and this is why I don't buy phones as soon as it comes out. Yeah, I wait until later. Um, of course, with these issues, of course they're gonna have bugs to fix all that stuff. But you know, iphone, it is what it is that's crazy.
Speaker 2:What can we do? Didn't they just come out with this?
Speaker 3:just came out and they already restarted. They didn't do it with the plus, so 16 plus is good, and then you got the 16 Pro.
Speaker 1:Max is not added on here also, did your wife get the 16?
Speaker 3:I'm not going to lie to you, man, she did she did. Yes, she did. Actually, it's coming today. What. I got to tell my boss I got to leave early because I'll pick up a package.
Speaker 2:It's being delivered to the house.
Speaker 3:It's being delivered to the house. Yeah, she got it. I knew she was gonna get it. Yeah, yeah, she was already Got that. Oh my god, something's wrong with my phone.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah, sure, your phone is messed up, yeah, anyway, long story short, I knew she was getting signed Because AT&T had to send me a code and I had to figure out what's this code for. She goes oh, what's the code? I was like, oh okay.
Speaker 2:The two-factor authentication, Two-factor authentication man. It caught her. Now I know yeah.
Speaker 3:But the good news is it's going to be. It's really coming right away fast. I'm excited to actually play around with it.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:So I might jump on the wagon I mean, I got a 12, so I'm like four years behind. Yeah, yeah, I was trying to do the five year mark.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, but let's see what happens you never know, I got a 12 too. I'm holding out till next year to the new one, for the night comes out, so yeah let's see what happens.
Speaker 3:Um next subject have you guys had issues trying to uh log into disney plus?
Speaker 2:actually my son was telling me he had a problem logging into disney plus so disney plus and hulu will not let you sign into apple app anymore they have taken that out.
Speaker 3:So if you try to subscribe to ios apps, disney plus and hulu will direct you directly to the web. I guess they do not want you to sign on. Unfortunately, this app doesn't support in-app sign-ins anymore, so if you had issues with that which is makes a lot of sense, because I try to see something on there and they told me I have to put my password in. Yeah, it's like why I already logged in already but yeah they're having those issues.
Speaker 3:So if you guys want to go ahead and, uh, having those issues, that's exactly what's happening.
Speaker 1:Interesting, interesting. Yeah, I don't have a subscription Now. I'm waiting until March To restart it.
Speaker 2:So what are you talking about? What?
Speaker 3:subscription Disney Plus and Hulu oh okay, you don't have it, no more.
Speaker 1:No, I didn't. No, I don't.
Speaker 3:Ah, you're the one who told me About that good website. Well, yeah, I mean, you know.
Speaker 1:I'm gonna resubscribe they got a show coming out that I wanna see, so Gotcha.
Speaker 2:Okay, so you did a purge, and now you're gonna be Adding it back, yeah, which is good though.
Speaker 3:I added it there. Ladies and gentlemen, to the beautiful Discord.
Speaker 2:Yes, sir.
Speaker 3:It was good. Last One before the last here Chick-fil-A. I love Chick-fil-A. They have I One before the last here Chick-fil-A, I love Chick-fil-A. I call that the Jesus chicken. It tastes really, really good. It is what it is, but they are next month, on November 18th, they will be adding a streaming service.
Speaker 2:Hold on, hold on, all right. Chick-fil-a is adding a streaming service. Chick-fil-a is actually A streaming service.
Speaker 3:Chick-fil-A is actually Adding a streaming service For the beautiful. This app Is another way to Play for our guests In a unique way For entertainment and encouraging time together. What, yes? This will be featuring Animated shows, alright, scripted podcasts, e-books, video, video game-based receipts I'm sorry, video-based recipes and kid-friendly craft. Interesting All are going to be on the app. Now. I tried to look to see if there is a charge for that. It doesn't tell me anything here at all. We will know November 18th. Interesting. I put it up there on Discord discord guys. If you guys want to see, you want to get the app. If you're a chick-fil-a, just for customers that you know want to go over there, eat with their family and watch fucking tv I don't know that that is dinner in the movie.
Speaker 3:Here's another one expanding into streaming uh some original content.
Speaker 1:I wonder if they're going to have one.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I mean Chick-fil-A is a chicken place. I mean, how do you get into the streaming?
Speaker 3:They want you to get down with the Jesus chicken and eat, and they want you to eat with an anime show, you know a scripted podcast and stuff like that. What else did I read here real quick? That is crazy. I have it highlighted.
Speaker 3:Interesting. So basically they you know they want to do stories of Evergreen Hills, which is going to be an anime series so you can watch all included in the Disney, not Disney in the Chick-fil-A, and the company is all by Cathyathy family who's managed, uh, from tulip studios in atlanta, and this is all going to be based in atlanta marvel, where wanda, vision and loki and event avenger end games were filmed okay, that might actually be um tyler perry I wanted this close to like his studio type stuff, or I guess they're trying to make Atlanta not trying, but Atlanta's become the East Coast Hollywood type thing, especially if they're doing productions over there.
Speaker 2:Dinner and a movie Now is their idea that we would stay at the restaurant and watch this? Stuff, I think that's what they want.
Speaker 3:You know what I think it is? I think this is basically A clue of so many people Going to the drive-thru that nobody's coming in.
Speaker 2:At times. Yeah, their drive-thru Would be ridiculous.
Speaker 3:I mean, don't get me wrong, it's one of the fastest Chains that I've seen In drive-thru and everybody's polite.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, for sure. What did they say? My pleasure, my pleasure, my pleasure. Yeah, big, big shout out to everybody's polite. Yeah, yeah, for sure. What do they say? Uh, my pleasure, my pleasure, my pleasure.
Speaker 1:Yeah, big, big shout out, stand by, my pleasure I mess with chick-fil-a me and my whole family do. We love chick-fil-a like? Okay and said they can't do nothing wrong except for when I go through the drive-thru with my kids. My kids get a kick out of this. It's been going on for years that they cannot spell my name correctly. They've've called me Ramen, roman. It's got to the point now where my kids tell them Dad, just give them a fake name, tom, or like the most, the least amount of characters.
Speaker 3:So what name are you giving?
Speaker 1:I give them, raymond, but every time we get the drive-thru bag and my kids get a kick out of it and we just sit back and they call me. Ramen. They call me Roman.
Speaker 3:Randy they can never, get Raymond, correct Got to spell it out for them, bro, yeah so Chick-fil-A.
Speaker 1:My name is Tom. That's my only beef with Chick-fil-A.
Speaker 2:Tony. Tony, that's the only name. Wow.
Speaker 2:Well, big shout-outs to Chick-fil-A. I mean, if I were to get into the game, streaming service is always something that you can see. Netflix used to be a DVD. Well, technically, blockbuster used to be the spot and then Netflix came and killed them with DVDs in the mail and they went from DVDs in the mail to streaming services. But this one is going to be the first fast food restaurant and I actually don't really consider it fast fast food, but it is fast food restaurant going into a tech scene of video streaming. It's going to be interesting to see how this play out and I do think darwin has. He's hitting something. I think they're trying to get people, more people, into the store, into the, the spot, rather than just coming through the drive through.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and now that you say that netflix is uh starting to uh not now, and they're gonna have a christmas football, christmas football. If you're watching, if you're gonna have Christmas football, christmas football. So if you're watching, if you're gonna be watching football, streaming is gonna be. You can watch the games on TV. It's gonna be on Netflix.
Speaker 1:Interesting. What's your take on that guys?
Speaker 2:What's that? Sports and Netflix.
Speaker 1:Well, sports on. Like Going on the streaming stuff now.
Speaker 3:I like it.
Speaker 2:I like it, my only problem is accessibility what is it? Accessibility, what do you mean is can everybody download netflix and do they have to have a netflix subscription to watch this?
Speaker 3:yes, you have to have a netflix subscription to watch it at the end of the day netflix been out for a good minute yeah another way for them to increase their following or their subscription is get something big.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:Everybody's going to want to watch. Yeah, same way. Paramount did everybody dirty for that one game that Raymond still talks about.
Speaker 1:What are you talking about?
Speaker 2:Well, Paramount made us have to install the Watch the Dolphins game. Oh, that was Peacock.
Speaker 1:Oh, peacock, that's what.
Speaker 3:I'm getting at with this. Yeah, yeah, butacock, that's what I'm getting at with this, yeah. Yeah, but how many games have you seen after Peacock had a game?
Speaker 1:Now they're doing this on ESPN the playoffs. I don't think it's right, because football is supposed to be free. It's supposed to be over the air. Now you're forcing people to get Netflixflix, just like the dolphins game they've made everybody get peacock. You're forcing people to get these apps where this is supposed to be free over the air tv well, technically well, let me actually for the peacock situation.
Speaker 2:Did I have to set up a peacock account to watch the thing, or could I just install the app and just watch it without maybe as a guest or something?
Speaker 1:like that. No, you had to download the app and install and register your account and then, hopefully, you remembered to cancel. Ah so, but that's the thing with everybody.
Speaker 3:You got to understand that if they give you free subscription for three months, right, it is your responsibility to write it down to say, hey, I have one week left to unsubscribe before they charge me. True, you have you. You put your credit card on file in the beginning, ladies and gentlemen. You put the credit card in the beginning and they say if you do not remove it or cancel before, we would charge you for that. Whose fault is it at the end, when you get charged after you had a three-month subscription for free?
Speaker 2:I mean. Their hope is that you do forget what's the quotation for.
Speaker 1:No, let me play devil's advocate here. You know very well. The government just came out because you know, know they make it difficult for you to cancel stuff. They make you go through a bunch of hoops. I think a government just released last week that the companies now are supposed to make it easier for you now to cancel your subscriptions and stuff. And people's defense, darwin. They make it like you got to jump through like a thousand hoops to cancel this stuff. So that's where they bank on.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they also bank on people forget. I hear you, they also bank it on people forget. Well, yeah, forgetting At least one month. Well, that's the thing.
Speaker 3:What it is is everybody gets happy. You get to a service Like, oh my God, thank God, we got the service. Boom, boom, boom, you get sold. Everybody gets busy. I understand it completely, but you got to remember to cancel. If you do not want it to be charged, you got to cancel Me. I always, before I signed I had. I'm going to read Because here's what happened. So I had this website called the Zone.
Speaker 3:I don't know if you guys know what the Zone is. The Zone is a website. You get to watch a whole bunch of boxing fighting and everything. I thought it was free. So I log in because I wanted to watch this big, humongous fight. I log in, etc, etc. And they charge you a monthly. It was charging me $30. I was like okay, cool, big fight comes in. I'm here thinking, I'm getting it for free, I gotta pay $60, so I gotta pay a monthly charge Plus $60.
Speaker 2:For that individual fight that's crazy.
Speaker 3:Here's the catch they have on their black and white is that they will charge you for the whole entire month. So no matter if you started on the 15 and you decide to, they'll charge you that whole month and then they continue and then they will cancel.
Speaker 2:That's lame. No prorating, wow, that's crazy. And then that's the part that I think you what raymond's talking about in terms of like regulation coming around to help out with that. But they, they are definitely banking on people forgetting and I think that chick-fil-a is banking on it too. You know, what chick-fil-a is going to do is like hey, if you get two, two chicken sandwiches, we'll give you one month free. Hey. I'll take it, I'll take it.
Speaker 1:Do you want me to spell my name correctly?
Speaker 2:Only if they spell your name correctly. That is hilarious.
Speaker 3:Let's move on, ladies and gentlemen, and last but not least, one of my other things that I'll talk about Elon Musk finally put out the humanoid bot out. What do you guys feel about it? Oh, the humanoid robot, yeah, yeah, um, about to be 15, if not mistaken, 15 to 30 grand, um, lord, actually. No, I mentioned that. The robot will cost 20, uh, and 30 000 for it. Um, I like it. It reminds me of ibot, to tell you the truth the truth, irobot iRobot. But what do you guys think?
Speaker 1:Yeah, I was like having this discussion with one of my cousins the other day. I was like, yeah, I like the concept. It sounds cool. You know it, can you know, make you drinks and stuff like that. But I was joking with my cousin. Let's just say I bring in a lady friend over or something like that. I'm not going to get in the mood with the robot there Like I'm going to feel uncomfortable.
Speaker 3:So why we had the robot there.
Speaker 1:I'm just saying like I don't know, like it's three's a crowd.
Speaker 3:What's going on so?
Speaker 2:let's say that you store it away in the closet. Is that a little bit better, or?
Speaker 1:I don't know. It's just like I don't know that's what I was joking with my cousin about it feels like it's a person. Yeah, so other than that, the concept sounds cool. Like you know, if I have the guys over, hey, get us the drinks, get us the chips.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:And all that. That is fire, so I'm like it seems pretty cool. Let's see if it comes to life, though. Yeah.
Speaker 3:Because Elon talks a lot of crap. None of this stuff really comes out, so I'm just saying so, but yeah, no, the concept seems cool, if it does ever come out yeah it is out yeah, I mean, well, he had some for show and tell.
Speaker 2:The other day he hadn't even there's people who has it. Yeah, I believe they're going to be. Yeah, definitely people testing it out. But my, my only problem is is that, um, there was also a report that said even the ones that he had during this big event that he had a few weeks ago that there were actually people behind it controlling it.
Speaker 1:People were not sold that. It was real AI. They said somebody was controlling it in the background.
Speaker 2:And that's the part of this whole homage that they're creating is like hey, that's actually not what you're going to buy.
Speaker 4:This is what we think it's going to look like or what we're working towards.
Speaker 2:So I don't know how close we are to it. Having a robot in my house would be great in terms of taking care of chores and doing stuff around the house and stuff like that. My only worries is and I might be talking ish, because I have computers in the house, but it's almost like having not just a computer but a humanoid in my house.
Speaker 1:That could just you know like I'm thinking I robot type stuff like right, take over the house, like hey, nobody's leaving, or I'm locking it down or I got the gun I was joking, like you know, because I have my you know person, my housekeeper, that kind of cleans my house look at you I sent her a meme and I sent her a meme of the robot and she's like don't you dare right she was like don't you dare so?
Speaker 2:but yeah, no, not everybody's on board with this yeah, that's definitely taking jobs, yeah that's what I'm saying so I kind of like teased her with it I was like, hey, you know, josephine, look at this oh, wow. And then she'd know you'd probably be one of the first ones to try it out.
Speaker 1:Yeah, she's always talking smack with all my echoes and stuff. Stop buying crap, raymond, yeah.
Speaker 2:But what do you think about that price between $20,000 to $30,000? That price is crazy, that is crazy.
Speaker 1:It needs to lower that price $20,000 to $30,000?
Speaker 2:homes, I wouldn't mind doing it.
Speaker 3:That's not. Here's my issue. If you have already have issues with your Tesla vehicles, cyber trucks, your back demand, why would I invest on something like that?
Speaker 2:Say say that one more time.
Speaker 3:Why would I so if you have issues with chips coming in with your Tesla vehicles, your cyber trucks on back order? And uh.
Speaker 1:Go ahead. Update. They're no longer on back order. You can go into a store and buy a Cybertruck now.
Speaker 2:Gotcha, how long is the wait? There was a wait and also some back order, that's true.
Speaker 3:So you're telling me the thousands and the millions are ready to fulfill their order.
Speaker 1:That I don't know. But I know you can go into the store now and buy a Cybertruck.
Speaker 3:It's no longer a back order.
Speaker 1:I want to know how long is the wait.
Speaker 3:That I don't know. You can. You can yes. So the answer to your question yes, you can go in right now and buy a cyber truck. You got to put a deposit down.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Which an old colleague of mine is doing it and each month he's deposit that doesn't mean and this was 2020 this guy, it is 2024 and he still haven't got his cybertruck. You know what he did? He said fuck this, I'm buying me a tesla 3 because I can't wait.
Speaker 1:Yeah I don't blame him. This is kind of like the stuff I say with elon talking a lot of shit yeah will it come to fruition. Like you know, this is what I'm saying.
Speaker 2:So yeah, yeah all right, that's the part too, right, yeah, and I guess the the price point itself is probably like that's crazy, crazy for me that I might have to wait, like, yeah, you might have to put a deposit down, paying a hundred dollars a month for two, three years, just to possibly get something. And then I I hear the one that they have show and tell is actually somebody robotically behind it.
Speaker 3:I don don't know about that it doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, you want me to spend 20, 30 grand. You can have a back supply. I got to wait another two or three more years At that time, somebody else has probably come out with something better. And then, God forbid, you can't give me my money back because I already have a hold on a Tesla or I have to buy something that's Tesla related. I'm not. I already have a hold on a Tesla or I have to buy something that's Tesla related. Yeah.
Speaker 2:I'm not in it. And what about their service time? How long does it take you to get a Tesla service?
Speaker 3:I don't have a Tesla. That's a Raymond question. It's ridiculous.
Speaker 1:I told you how I waited a month A month For what? Almost a month and a half just to get my Tesla serviced I had a loaner for a month and a half in delayed.
Speaker 3:So you're in delayed.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's ridiculous so I don't know about these robots, uh if I spend 20 grand. Y'all better pull up to the house tomorrow tomorrow.
Speaker 3:Uh, mr martinez, do you need anything else from us?
Speaker 2:right, 20, 30 grand. It better be doing stuff that's I'm not paying. That that's crazy. All right, so up next we got my guy raymond's nuggets. What's going on, raymond, don't call him ray ray what's up, gentlemen, morning, morning call him ray you should tell him that at that. Uh, chick-fil-a, put some respect on my name.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you know what I'm gonna just tell him, ray, even that they might get that wrong, I didn't even spell that correctly so give him a chance, though give him a chance because they will be polite afterwards after they said your name wrong so so yeah, so, um, got a couple of nuggets here for you here. Question for you guys um, what is your preferred like search engine? Obviously I know this is a stupid question. I already know the answer, but what's your deferred search?
Speaker 3:google search darwin I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:What's the question? Your deferred search engine like what do you use to like search stuff on the internet?
Speaker 2:besides google or safari or all of my stuff is plugged back into google okay, yeah, me too, same thing.
Speaker 1:Google, google. You know we have bing and all that, but um, a few nuggets ago, maybe a few months ago, I had gave you guys a privacy browser called duck duck go yeah, duck, duck, go, yeah so they're based on privacy and all that stuff like that, which is very good.
Speaker 1:Um, they I still use them. I stumbled upon another one I wanted to give you here. I'm going to drop it in the chat here. It's called uh, start page, start page. So basically what I like about this versus duck, duck go, is their search engine is a little bit more accurate. I started using this now for a month and a half now. It's based on privacy completely. It's an alternative to google and bing. They don't copy anything. They don't sell you no third party. You know tracking websites. They block your ip. They also have an app for apple and android. It is completely safe. They don't track anything.
Speaker 1:You know me, bobby, I mean, I don't go on nefarious sites, but you know, I don't want people knowing on some stuff that I go on. You know what I'm saying. I want to keep it, like you know, my personal privacy. So this site I've went on board guys, it is pretty cool, it's very. It's much more accurate than duck duck go.
Speaker 1:Duck duck go is still good yeah this here start page is pretty cool if you's very. It's much more accurate than DuckDuckGo. Duckduckgo is still good. Yeah, this here start page is pretty cool If you're all into. You know nobody tracking you and selling you ads and crap like that, because every time I go into Google hey, raymond, you went on this website and it shows the history and I'm like damn my kids and I we have a family computer, which you know I do have my own profile, but sometimes I don't lock it and stuff like that.
Speaker 1:But yeah, this is if you're into privacy, you don't want anybody tracking you or nothing like that, use this browser called start page.
Speaker 3:So that's what's up is it. Is it google and ios compatible?
Speaker 1:yes, it is.
Speaker 3:They have an app for ios and they have an app for apple or google yeah, I know some sites here that you know that everybody some people recommend and you just can't even log in because it's blocked and it's not compatible.
Speaker 1:This is compatible and they have an app for both Wow.
Speaker 2:StartPage. They're a global privacy technology company based around the principles of always putting privacy first.
Speaker 3:Wow. So question for you Is it using the same VPN that you that you use?
Speaker 2:oh, that's actually a really good question, because I thought I seen something with vpn. I don't think it actually browse mobile.
Speaker 1:They don't save any, any history, so whatever you search, they don't save it.
Speaker 2:So it's completely it's completely blocked yeah, so this is just a search engine not the whole.
Speaker 1:It's just a search engine. It's not the whole VPN yeah not the whole.
Speaker 2:VPN yeah. I mean even with. Vpn, you're not really blocked when you go to Google. So let's say that you have a VPN server set up right and then you connect to your VPN server and now all your traffic goes to the VPN server.
Speaker 1:When you still go to Google's website, you're still putting your your credentials and logins and your search stuff and google, so they still get that stuff, even if you do have a vpn. This is basically saying like, hey, we, we don't track nothing, it doesn't matter who's logged in, we'll just send you, don't use google. It's saying, use this, we're not gonna like track anything like, because you know I don't go to nefarious sites, I just go to certain sites that are not for everybody, like bobby knows so, and I don't want people knowing that, so I use start page.
Speaker 2:Why? Why is incognito the default for you?
Speaker 1:it just came on by, it just came on like that.
Speaker 2:So you're always. Every time you're even open up a browser, it's always incognito mode. Why? Is it always?
Speaker 2:but I mean, this is the thing about um, these browsers, um or not browsers, but search engines, is that um? First of all, they get all this data for free. So I mean, and and somebody is technically inclined to me, sometimes I even catch myself, you know, drinking the same drinking from the same kool-aid or the water cooler as everybody else, because they just make it so convenient and easy to do a quick google search. You open up a browser, even in our browser nowadays, and I don't know if y'all know this, but here in our browser, up at the top here, this is actually automatically a Google search, like you don't even really type in, like HTTP.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you don't type none of that in.
Speaker 2:Everything you type is a Google search. So if you go to any site, you're forced to use Google as a search engine. Then it tells you what the url is. So, I mean, this is a new era of privacy that I think we definitely need to take in consideration. I think it's a great nugget, including the one from duck duck go that you gave before raymond for good.
Speaker 1:So yeah. Privacy, so yeah. If you see a little button there, you can just add it directly to chrome it will take over yeah, and that'll be your new search engine. So yeah, yep. If you are into privacy, I highly recommend it guess who would definitely be using this?
Speaker 2:jimmy jean, jimmy jean, yes, jimmy jean would definitely be no, sorry, jimmy, this is definitely big shout out to jimmy jean, he would definitely be using mr cyber see, actually low-key.
Speaker 2:I was asking him um what did we ask him? I was like yo, uh, let me get your linkedin page. And he's like, all right. And I looked at his linkedin page no picture. And I was like yo, do you put no pictures? Like I don't put my picture, nothing. I was like man, mr cyber security, like he wants to be anonymous on everything you know he doesn't want to be, shown.
Speaker 1:No, who else did that too is, uh, my ex-girlfriend marie he did not put his picture on facebook, instagram linkedin. He's like he did not want them to be prejudging him and stuff like that yeah yeah, I thought it was interesting.
Speaker 2:I was like what so? Yeah, that's interesting and jimmy's reason is he don't want to be added to the algorithm. He don't want facial recognition catching him. Okay, he says they, they're always recording me, but they won't know who I am type stuff. So interesting.
Speaker 1:Okay, some interesting stuff.
Speaker 2:Thanks a lot for that nugget, raymond. What else you got on your list player?
Speaker 1:All right. So the next one is a lot of people make fun of me about this. I know Bobby D does, so my family does.
Speaker 3:Shoot, say it if I can laugh too.
Speaker 1:If you call Raymond Simeleon at 10 o'clock, it goes directly to voicemail, correct. Million at 10 o'clock, it goes directly to voicemail, correct. And that meaning, why is I go to bed exactly at 10 o'clock every night? Everybody makes fun of it. They get pissed off. Unless you are my favorites, you know, I have bobby d and my favorites, I have my alarm company, I have my mom, that's it so if you call me at 10 o'clock, hold on hold on bob D, my mom and my alarm company.
Speaker 1:And obviously my ex-wife, because if something's wrong with the kids. But those are the four people I'm a favorite.
Speaker 2:It's exclusive list player.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so if you call me at 10 o'clock, it goes directly to voicemail and it pisses everybody off. So if you're not one of these four people, it's not that important. So I love sleep. So, like I said, said I go to bed at 10 o'clock every night and if you are interested, and I like to keep a routine, it's good for the body. So if you are interested in wanting to know, like hey, I want to wake up at like, let's just say. Let's just say bobby, do you want to wake up at 6 am?
Speaker 4:which is a likelihood I know. Go ahead and put 6 am on this website.
Speaker 2:Here let's see put 6 am.
Speaker 1:wait you this website here. Let's see Put 6 am.
Speaker 3:Wait, you got to let people know what website we're talking about.
Speaker 1:Oh, that's true, Sleepcalculatorcom.
Speaker 2:Okay, sleepcalculatorcom.
Speaker 1:So we brought up a website here called sleepcalculatorcom. So basically, let's just say you want to wake up at 6 am, sleep calculator is going to give you two suggested bedtimes. Right now bobby d is sharing. It's saying 8, 45 or 10 15. I wake up every day at 6 am to bring up the kids, make them breakfast. I go to bed at 10 o'clock. So this website, sleep calculator, depending on what time you have to wake up in the morning you put that time in it will give you a suggested time frame because, give or take, it takes the average person between 15 minutes to 30 minutes to fall asleep. This sleep calculator will give you a time frame on what time to go to bed. So, like I said, you call me at 10 o'clock, my phone goes directly to voicemail.
Speaker 3:I am sleeping.
Speaker 1:But yeah, that's the little nugget I wanted to give you guys here Interesting.
Speaker 3:So what you're saying to me is that you don't watch any sports after 10 o'clock.
Speaker 1:I do, but I'm just saying when I go to bed my phone goes on. Do not disturb.
Speaker 2:I'm not, you know, I'm not getting no text messages.
Speaker 1:I'm not getting no alerts to wake me up, like my phone is on, the volume is on, so if you're one of my favorites, I will hear the call. But yeah. Obviously.
Speaker 3:You know I can turn it off manually and all that, but yeah so that, but yeah so, so you don't use your your, uh, your phone as a as a sleeping timer I do.
Speaker 1:What do you mean as a sleep timer?
Speaker 2:yeah, no, I don't so how do you wake up in the morning?
Speaker 1:oh, I have alexa wakes me up.
Speaker 2:Uh, okay, so you use another device, use another device.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they do have that option that you have. Uh, basically under do not disturb, you can go to sleep at 10. Of course, it tells you when to go to sleep.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:And then you're able to wake up at that time. So your phone will go on, do not disturb, from 10 o'clock at night to 6 o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yep, that's what mine does right now.
Speaker 2:Yeah, oh, so you are using the sleep feature on there. You're just not having the alarm turn on in the morning turn on in the morning.
Speaker 1:Yes, that's correct. Yeah, oh, it goes on automatically. Yes, yeah, yeah, yes, I do use yes, yes to answer your question yes, d, I think so.
Speaker 2:You go to sleep at 10 o'clock pm. What time you wake up in the morning? Six o'clock, six o'clock on the dock.
Speaker 1:Yes are you waking up before your alarm?
Speaker 2:uh, sometimes I do, but for the most part 6 am 6 am is when you're up. Interesting dang, that's a. That's a good sleep schedule there. I would love the knockout at 10 and my that's a good sleep schedule there. I would love to knock out at 10. My wife's a night crawler. She can't go to sleep bro.
Speaker 3:I can't do 10 o'clock, 10 o'clock, okay, I don't know, I mean, the only way I do that is if I'm leaving like extra early.
Speaker 2:Oh, in the morning, In the morning I have to leave early yeah.
Speaker 1:I go to sleep. What time do you go to bed?
Speaker 3:normally, normally like 11 o'clock, 11.30.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right, that's not terrible.
Speaker 3:But yeah, I mean 6 o'clock in the morning. Of course you have to take your kids, et cetera, et cetera. I understand, but what kind of breakfast are you making in the morning? I'm curious to know.
Speaker 4:He's trying to see what time, what time he's about to pull up breakfast sandwich.
Speaker 1:My son has to have a breakfast sandwich every day, if he doesn't have one, he gets cranky so yeah, yeah. So yep, I make him a breakfast sandwich. You know, bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel, toasted cheese and all that good stuff so, yeah, yeah, so, but yeah. Okay, yeah.
Speaker 2:So I have an alarm at 645 and it's telling me I need to be in bed by 11 o'clock. Wow.
Speaker 1:Okay, I know that's unlikely for you, bobby D.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I know that's the thing, yeah.
Speaker 3:So, I mean, I wake up around 650 in the morning to take my son. Okay, but I need to take my son. But yeah, sometimes like last night's game. I was watching last night's game. I was too, so you're not going to sleep at 10 o'clock.
Speaker 1:It's the season, though I mean okay, I'm just saying my phone goes on, Do not disturb.
Speaker 3:So what I'm hearing is that Sundays Mondays occasionally Wednesdays, thursdays he's not going to sleep at 10 o'clock Because all the games pass 10 o'clock.
Speaker 2:Yeah, there are some playing still past 10 o'clock 10 o'clock.
Speaker 3:Okay, I understand, I understand, I got it. I got it.
Speaker 2:But I mean, when you say go sleeping, are you laying in bed watching TV or are you still downstairs watching TV type stuff? No, I'm going to bed. Okay, a game like d hustle says yes, I'm gonna stay up till past 10 and watch the good game. Of course, yeah, but still don't call me though.
Speaker 1:Yeah, still my phone's on do not disturb at 10 o'clock, so I'm just saying so yeah, that's funny but yeah, you know, if you're curious on what time to go to bed, check this out sleepcalculatorcom all right next up we got.
Speaker 2:Uh, thank you so much for those nuggets. Raymond d hustle is gonna kick off some sports because it sounds like we had some stuff go down. What's going on players?
Speaker 3:All right, ladies and gentlemen, the one and only hockey season has started. What Already, as you can see, the 24-25 season is coming to a full hockey season. Florida Panthers on top for 7-4., as you can see, and Jersey Devils there, 8-5.
Speaker 2:Wow, they're already that many games in.
Speaker 3:They're already that many games in. Where are the Islanders? Anyway, they're down there. Yeah, it is what it is. So, yeah, if you like hockey, hockey's on right now, yeah, get your shit. Special congratulations, ladies and gentlemen, for the beautiful WNBA Liberty taking on that chip.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:Congratulations to those ladies over there getting that chip. I see one good New York team making something happen here. Other than that, congratulations to those ladies over there Next up, you know what? Let's get this out of the way. Baseball.
Speaker 3:My meds couldn't hold. On, ladies and gentlemen, we did good. Pitching, pitching, pitching and pitching there you go. I said this a long time ago. We're doing really good. Get the pitching Shout out to the Yankees. Give a shout out to our ladies and gentlemen Yankees out there making the move. And they play Otani over there.
Speaker 1:Question who are you rooting for? D.
Speaker 3:In this game. Yeah For the Yankees, oh, okay.
Speaker 2:Alright, new York loyal other than if the Mets are playing.
Speaker 3:My Mets are done. I gotta do the next Yankees.
Speaker 2:I seen a meme the other day where a cat with a Yankee fit was standing there and a Mets fan was walking by and all of a sudden he slaps the hat off.
Speaker 3:He's like there's only one of these teams in the city, I will say shout out to them, but at the end of the day, the Yankees and the Mets have been in the in that uh, new York State for a long time actually it was the New York, san Francisco, uh, that's why their colors is orange uh, just a fun fact In case. Nobody knows about baseball Until they moved and then they became the LA Dodgers. So just a heads up on that. I'm sorry, the San Francisco, yeah, anyway, it is what it is.
Speaker 2:And, in general, the two people that are playing in the World Series are two teams are.
Speaker 3:The Yankees and the Dodgers, friday 8 o'clock. Be there, watch Judge. Make some magical happen. And Otani you know, still making history. Again. It goes back to that conversation we had. The conversation was do you consider Otani being the GOAT? And making 50-50? And I said he could be a consideration, but he has to do what.
Speaker 2:Win the chip, win the chip, win the chip there you go.
Speaker 3:Phenomenal guy, great move. He is an outfielder and a pitcher. I guess he messed up his arm. Unfortunately he can't pitch, so he's doing what he can do.
Speaker 2:But he can definitely bat and run the bases. He can definitely bat and run the bases.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah that and run the bases. Yeah, yeah, shout out to Mookie Best and Kiki out there. Uh, they're statting and uh, it's gonna be a showdown.
Speaker 2:It's gonna be a showdown yeah, you think it's gonna go full series or uh, yeah, um, I think so.
Speaker 3:Uh, actually, people saying the Dodgers are expected to win yeah, that's interesting I mean, but it is what it is, uh, beautiful. Next subject here, uh, nba. Yep, that started up, starts today. Ladies and gentlemen, as you can see, my Knicks and Boston is on there Again, hopefully to see what a team looks like.
Speaker 4:please tune in to TNT you get to see my Knicks this kickoff game Kickoff.
Speaker 3:Start of the season is today.
Speaker 1:Yeah yeah, that's what's up.
Speaker 3:And then my men's Lakers will go ahead and play after that game in case you wanted to see or wanted to know. There's a lot of contracts going on.
Speaker 1:And one thing on basketball this is the last season for NBA Inside on TNT.
Speaker 3:Yes, yes, that is correct. What do you mean? Nba.
Speaker 2:The Berkeley NBA. Oh, okay okay, you're talking about the show called Inside. Yeah, got you.
Speaker 4:Yep, oh, okay, okay you talking about the show called Inside yeah Got you, yep.
Speaker 2:Oh, actually I was Going to mention one thing. Did y'all see Bronny's jersey?
Speaker 3:What about it?
Speaker 2:Had a junior on it.
Speaker 3:Did it, oh, it did yeah, oh really.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I seen it I was like, oh, I thought he wasn't Going to do that. Yeah, that's interesting.
Speaker 1:But we'll see how we.
Speaker 3:James Jr. Yep, I just want to let you know, I did my fantasy basketball and nobody picked up Bronny Jr. Okay, just to let you know exactly how the hype is, especially a Lakers fan that was in there too. They're not two Lakers fans. Two Lakers fans and they didn't pick up. And they didn't pick up Bronny Jr which I'm upset.
Speaker 3:I'm upset because this is your legacy, this is your, is your legacy, this is your. You know, but I am going to say it again Live here. Ladies and gentlemen, I did have a bet wager With this guy over here Raymond, don't call him Ray Ray.
Speaker 2:Yeah, ray Ray.
Speaker 3:That Bronny was not going to start In a game, and it looks like it's going to happen, so Do you? Want to elaborate A little bit more.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we betted that he's not going to start a game this year but, there is chatter that they are not going to wait very long. It will happen soon.
Speaker 3:I can't wait. I'm going to shout out to Darwin. Ladies and gentlemen, I can't wait for my food.
Speaker 1:I'll be hungry. I'm going to succumb to pressure. Is that what it is?
Speaker 2:Yes, it's based on skill. Man.
Speaker 3:What Is that what it is? Yes, it's based on skill, man. What are you talking about? Starting roster is based on skill. Yeah, so there you go. Let's see what happens.
Speaker 1:He did have one good preseason game his final game, but I mean, it's preseason.
Speaker 3:So I seen something here on my man. I wish I could have sent it to you guys that the guy both of them combined 17 points. I'm sorry, 19 points, nine rebounds, six offensive and two steals. And LeBron did all the above, except for one rebound that LeBron Bronny James has. That is nice. That's a great comparison for one rebound that LeBron, uh, bronny James has. Yes, that is nice, that's a great comparison.
Speaker 2:I mean like I mean, I mean, is that, is that going to be the joint comparison that the whole year is how much collectively they could do together, Like it's crazy.
Speaker 1:Like what the preseason game I was talking about? The Lakers blew this team out by 60 and there was no word of that. It was only like Bronny had a great game yeah, his best game of the like. What about the fact that we just beat this team by 60? Nope, it was just Bronny. This is going to be the whole thing.
Speaker 2:this year as well, it's going to be the whole season, bro, it's crazy, how did? They play it, it'd be by 60.
Speaker 3:It was the travel team was playing that, yeah, and Bronny happened to be in the back Making that happen for you guys.
Speaker 2:Oh man, that's what it is.
Speaker 3:Last but not least, ladies and gentlemen, before I hand it over to Bobby D Football, Let me give you a little detail. Football what's going? On. Da-da-da. Wide receiver Jameson Williamson faced two-year suspension ban for using illegal drugs. Wow, beautiful game last night. Bucks. And you know who played last night Bucks and Ravens. Oh yeah, godwin went out. Evans went out in the same game.
Speaker 1:I got to beef about that Godwin thing. I mean you argued about this a few weeks ago with Tua keeping him in the game. You don't think that coach needs to get some shit for leaving Godwin in the game? You're not going to, it's you lost. You're down by 10. He's getting criticized, darwin.
Speaker 2:How much time was left on the clock?
Speaker 1:There was. I don't care, you're not going to beat that team, you're down by 10. And look what happened. He left that player in the game that's like one of their best receivers and he's hurt. And look what's happening the coach is getting destroyed. There's no point in keeping these guys in the game when the game is out of hand. I know Darwin doesn't believe in this. Play to the clock is over, yeah.
Speaker 3:Why not? If your star player goes down, is there a next star player that should step up? Which?
Speaker 1:is who Godwin? He should have not been in that game. They were not going to win, though.
Speaker 3:How do you know that? Oh come on At the end of the day you watch the game. Since he didn't go to sleep at 10, he must have watched the game. Let's go here.
Speaker 1:Let's have this discussion. They were down by 10. They were not going to win that game At the end.
Speaker 3:They started down by 10, but they did a nice little run. The game was already out of hand.
Speaker 1:It was out of hand.
Speaker 3:But for some reason he felt like Tom Brady. He was Tom Brady. And decided to do two touchdowns In the last six minutes. They were coming up If they had more time. I see the game going to overtime.
Speaker 1:Okay, and it was 31 to 10,.
Speaker 3:Right it was a 31 to 41, something like that.
Speaker 1:The real score doesn't object how the game was out of hand. So the game was already out of hand. It's just like they came back but come on, it was already over.
Speaker 2:But how does a coach give up like that, though A?
Speaker 1:coach can give up.
Speaker 3:No, no, he's coach give up like that though I'm course didn't give up.
Speaker 2:No, no, he's telling. He's telling you, you, the way that you're describing to me as a coach, that's me giving up no, that's not giving up, that's preserving your best players but, but we're in a fight right now, you're not going to win the game.
Speaker 1:Look what the cowboys did a few weeks ago they benched all of their star players because it was a blowout. The same thing it's not.
Speaker 3:I mean the game is out of hand. Yes, there's a difference between a 40-point blowout and a 10-point blowout. Okay, you're going to put it. So let me ask you this. So you're saying to me, tyreek Hill?
Speaker 1:shouldn't be playing. I'm not saying that If the game is a blowout he shouldn't be playing.
Speaker 3:But who's going to throw to?
Speaker 1:Tyreek, tyreek has been non-existent anyway.
Speaker 3:Okay, so your best player? You're telling me you shouldn't put him in the game because you're going to lose every week.
Speaker 1:No, if it's a blowout. I mean you're kind of misconstruing what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying? No, no.
Speaker 3:I understand it's a blowout, so I'm basketball. He has a perfect point In. In basketball, you're winning by 20, et cetera et cetera. Then they start taking out and putting out the bench. You are correct, because there's no way that they're going to come back Football. Anything can happen.
Speaker 1:Actually football is more dangerous.
Speaker 3:Perfect thing Look what happened? Bucks was losing, they did an onside kick.
Speaker 4:I haven't seen an onside kick. You seen one, I seen one.
Speaker 3:They got the ballored touchdown. It was about to come back. If they didn't hold the ball as much, I think they would have tied up the game.
Speaker 1:You don't think so. I don't think so. I think it was out of hand and, as you can see, the coach is getting destroyed today.
Speaker 2:Okay, Alright, I don't know about that. They're the tip of the sword man. If we're still in the fight, I'm not conceding in third quarter if I'm down 20 points.
Speaker 1:I'm still not conceding All right. I disagree, just like when they shouldn't have Tua in the game.
Speaker 2:A few weeks ago.
Speaker 1:I agree with this. I think it's pointless. So okay.
Speaker 2:But what will happen is that the other team is going to run the score up even more.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they're not going to do that?
Speaker 2:What do you mean? They're not gonna do that, I can't with this guy.
Speaker 1:Okay, I mean Alright, I'm just saying you wanna their season might be. I'm not saying their season is over, but their two receivers Got hurt last night, didn't they? Williams?
Speaker 2:and Godwin. They did.
Speaker 1:The season's probably over.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and they're a good team Could be.
Speaker 2:Two are supposed to be coming back.
Speaker 3:Yes, next week. Next week, god, jesus Christ. Thank God, scott Thompson Not the answer, thank God. Back to our original program In the Brown signing Zap From the Chiefs. Due to Deshaun Getting hurt, he is out for the year. Mvp Lamar Jackson Could be in threat For the MVP this year. 49ers Juke Goltier's, ocl and Debo.
Speaker 1:Is in the hospital. Yeah, one thing I know Casey's undefeated, but I think that Lamar's the best player this year. I know that Casey's undefeated and they got, but I think that Lamar Jackson's the MVP.
Speaker 2:It's gonna be a talk. I mean, are we halfway through the season yet?
Speaker 3:You think 18?
Speaker 2:games, 18 games.
Speaker 1:So we're probably almost halfway Plus. He won me fantasy last night.
Speaker 2:Oh okay, this guy has some underlining reasons behind.
Speaker 1:That's not a reason why. You can't induct him to the Hall of Fame just because he's on your fantasy football, bro, I'm saying he's the Best player this year.
Speaker 3:So I'm gonna have to, I'm gonna have to have A little debate on that. I think Lamar is on top of that.
Speaker 2:Actually, okay, a real question is who has the most points that's been collected up In fantasy football? Is it Lamar? He's killing it. Is it Lamar?
Speaker 1:And they have the most Expl yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, interesting.
Speaker 1:If you look at the KC and the Chiefs, he has more picks than touchdowns.
Speaker 2:They're not playing great but they are undefeated. But they're winning, yeah, they're winning, so, but so but yeah, that's just my opinion Interesting.
Speaker 3:And last but not least, as far as reports, here, commander Daniels got hit hard and now he's week to week, oh word. But other than that, as far as standings, as you can see, yes, uh, the beautiful chiefs are on six and, no matter of fact, let me give a shout out to porsche, because she just sent me a text message giving me the six and no porsche.
Speaker 3:I got your text message I got him putting me on the podcast so y'all can see real quick. I appreciate you. Thank you very much. A salute to that as you can see my man. Uh, he is saying that patrick mahomes is there uh, he's in the conversation. Conversation of uh, but he's not. You know, he hasn't thought about lamar yet, so you gotta excuse him yeah uh real quick, uh, buffalo still making moves.
Speaker 3:Miami, for some reason, is in second place. I'm not too sure, but you know they don't have star players, so I don't know if they're benching their players or not. To start, this game.
Speaker 2:They're waiting for 2-0 to get back.
Speaker 3:Probably 2-0. Aaron Rodgers looking horrible out there. I don't know what's going on with Aaron Rodgers. Baltimore making moves, steelers doing phenomenal.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, they had a good game the other day Trying to figure out.
Speaker 3:I don't know what's going on with Borough, but they usually jump later on in the future. Commanders are not on top of my division because my beautiful Giants are in last place. I'm so excited to see what's going on with these G Giants guys here.
Speaker 2:Or at least for the draft you were waiting to see.
Speaker 3:And Detroit and Minnesota phenomenal 5-1. They doing big things over there and San Fran, cisco. I don't know what's going on over there.
Speaker 2:I don't know either. I watched that game too.
Speaker 1:Yeah, both of their star receivers were hurt, but yeah, it doesn't look good and they put the bench players in and I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 3:Purdy, yeah, other than that, ladies and gentlemen, that is all I have for sports.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Other than that, ladies and gentlemen, that is all I have for sports. Um, yeah, roger, that, roger that well, uh, thank you all so much. Speaker 1:It's crazy.
Speaker 3:How will you? Feel in your team and your coach puts you on the sideline. Facts that's something you have to think about. You're getting paid millions of dollars to play a sport and your coach puts you in the side. How do you feel about that?
Speaker 1:It's a blowout. I mean if it's a blowout football is a very dangerous game, but we all talking trash out there.
Speaker 3:Okay, you got to be competitive.
Speaker 1:You got to look at the? Yes, but this is. You got to look at the competitive state.
Speaker 2:I hear you, but I mean all right, yeah, Ramis trying to get all his money's worth. He's like I don't want nobody on injured or anything. No injured reserve, no injured or anything.
Speaker 1:There's a lot of players getting hurt so early this year.
Speaker 3:There's a lot of players getting hurt. Watson, you got brandon ayuk. Now it's crazy, like every week someone's dead. Yeah, it's crazy. Well, not literally. Well, yeah, you know what I mean fantasy fantasy should be good.
