One claim can flip a whole narrative: we dig into reports that Waymo’s “self-driving” rides are actually “assisted” by remote workers in the Philippines—and why that matters for safety, trust, and the future of autonomy. Is teleoperation a practical bridge for edge cases, or a quiet shortcut that blurs the line between marketing and reality? We compare models of supervised autonomy, talk through the reported child injury in Santa Monica, and ask what real transparency should look like: intervention rates, training standards, latency, and third-party audits.

From roads to strides, we shift into a striking concept: a bionic sneaker that behaves like an e-bike for your feet. Picture a lightweight assist that stabilizes ankles, reduces shin strain, and adds a touch of propulsion. Whether you run, walk long shifts, or need support during recovery, assistive mobility could be the next big wearables frontier. We outline the materials, battery questions, and use cases that will determine whether this jumps from prototype to daily gear.

We also get tactical. The Brave browser resurfaces as a smart workaround for YouTube frustrations—background play on mobile, ad blocking, and stronger privacy by default—while a quirky pick, ScreamIntoTheVoid, offers a low-stakes way to vent safely. Then we go deep on ambient AI with a CES standout: Omi, a wearable, audio-only GPT assistant. It listens, transcribes, and can act—turning lights on, drafting reminders, even nudging calendar bookings by tapping your connected services. We debate consent, retention, and control: local-first storage, audio-to-text purging, and the kind of visible, human-centered safeguards that make always-on feel helpful instead of invasive.

Expect candid laughs and real friction: smart displays in bathrooms, mirrors that surface news as you brush, and a spirited back-and-forth on Ring’s neighborhood scanning for lost pets versus the creep of linked surveillance. The throughline is simple—useful tech earns trust when it is honest about how it works and puts you in control of what it keeps.

If you’re into autonomous vehicles, wearable robotics, privacy tools, and the rise of proactive AI assistants, this one’s packed. Tap play, subscribe for more tech, culture, and engineering crossovers, and drop us your take: Should teleoperation be considered “autonomous,” or does the label need to change?

Cold Open: Waymo Shock Claims

SPEAKER_05

Ramo is a beautiful drag wire uh self-driving vehicle that we all think is a self-driving vehicle. That is what it comes down to. What did you find out? Long story short, news broke out, ladies and gentlemen. Waymo has been controlled in the Philippines to assist autonumerous vehicles. What? I fucking knew it. I've been saying it from the get-go. We gotta go back to that episode. The way the car stops, the way the car drives, it's like he's in a console with a big humongous screen. Yeah, yeah. If you play NASCAR or if you play a Formula One, there is a screen that you sit down and the screen goes all the way around and you can control it like you're in the vehicle. And I was telling Bob when Bobby asked me, What did you think about facts?

SPEAKER_02

I remember that.

SPEAKER_05

I said, I feel like somebody's driving the fucking vehicle. Yeah. And it just came out. Remu exec reveals company uses remote workers in the Philippines to assist autonumerous vehicles. Quote unquote to assist. Now here's what happened. It came down uh to a kid getting hit by a Wayneu. Man, it's a man. And now they did a further investigation and it just revealed that people in the Philippines are driving.

SPEAKER_01

We are here to have a great time, talk about technology, engineering, and how the culture intersects. And it sounds like we got a really nice show lined up. We got my guy D Hustle who's going to give us some tech current events. Um Raymond, don't call him Ray Ray with his nuggets. Where's his nugget sounds at? Yeah, he's definitely got a few nuggets, utility sites. That's fine. Um and then how's it funny? We haven't even got there yet. And then we got D Hustle coming back with some sports. Obviously, we just wrapped up a few things uh with the Super Bowl and things like that. Um, I'll have an outro. Um, oh, I forgot. We'll have some tech insights. I got a product that we're gonna be talking about. I just jumped over my whole um segment that I have. Unbelievable. But hey, we'll we're shifting it up and we're making it uh live, we're making it more engaging, and definitely we hope you all are enjoying it. Uh, we'll have a spot for our sponsors, because we got a few uh sponsors, at least one new one, um, a product that I'm gonna be talking to y'all about. Um, and then we'll have an outro. What do y'all think about that? Yeah, we want it, Bobby! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What they really want is uh D Hustle's new song. New, new, new um, um, um, maybe, maybe. Welcome to TechCurrent Events. It's your boy D Hustle on the mic. We're working on the audio, you know. We're trying to add a little bit more, you know. Wait until you hear the sports section.

SPEAKER_05

You'll see what we're confused. What's going on? I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen.

SPEAKER_04

This shit is crazy than you see. You want to you you you you want to hear it again?

SPEAKER_05

I don't even know what's going on over there. I don't even know what's worse. Oh, man.

SPEAKER_01

How's tech how's tech current events going, play it?

Host Intros And Show Roadmap

SPEAKER_05

All right, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, wherever you are, ladies and gentlemen. Happy, happy Tuesday. Hope everybody's having a great, phenomenal day. I know who I am. I don't know about the guy next to me if he is or not, because sometimes we can't tell. Wait, wait, wait. Well, who he is today? Who he is today. Is he Raymond? Is he Raymond Nuggets? Is he gonna give us the butt we'll find out? Well, we'll definitely find out. Definitely, so stay tuned. Um, I'm gonna go ahead and give a uh uh started off from the top. I don't know if you guys remember Waymo. Waymo. Oh, yes, I remember. Waymo is a beautiful drag wire uh self-driving vehicle that we all think is a self-driving vehicle. That is what it comes down to. What did you find out? Long story short, news broke out, ladies and gentlemen. Waymo has been controlled in the Philippines to assist autonumerous vehicles. What I fucking knew it. I've been saying it from the get-go. We gotta go back to that other way. The car stops the way the car drives, it's like he's in a console with a big humongous screen. Yeah, yeah. If you play NASCAR or if you play at Formula One, there is a screen that you sit down and the screen goes all the way around and you can control it like you're in the vehicle. And I was telling Bob when Bobby asked me, What did you think about? I said, I feel like somebody's driving the fucking vehicle. Yeah. And it just came out. Remu exec reveals company uses remote workers in the Philippines to assist auto-numerous vehicles. Quote unquote to assist. Now here's what happened it came down uh to a kid getting hit by a Waynew. Man, I said. And now they did a further investigation and it just revealed that people in the Philippines are driving. Uh, you know, they're all saying that the Senate committee saying that the science transportation on February 4th, uh, this hearing happened when two weeks ago after a child was hit by a Wayne Vehicle while walking to school in Santa Monica, California.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, that sucks.

SPEAKER_05

Um I I I I was so excited about the company. I mean, it's still good. Um I don't know how badly the kid got hit, so I can't tell you if he just got side scraped. Uh you can't, I mean, I'll be a parent. I don't want more card. I'm suing. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You walking away with a check.

SPEAKER_05

I'm walking away with the with the company. It's not gonna be called Way Mew anymore. It's gonna be called something else. Um, but yeah, I I thought, you know, the experience, how it was driving by itself. Yeah, I thought it was cool.

SPEAKER_04

You called it though.

SPEAKER_05

I said it from the beginning. I said, hey, this shit feels like it feels weird. Yeah. Like somebody's driving it. Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_03

I I can I can remember that vividly because when when we took that ride, uh first there was a lot of hesitation, and then there was like you got comfortable, and then you was like, hold on a second, uh there has to be something off with it because you you you're feeling some motorized, or I mean you're you're you're into the car type scene, so you can you can see and feel cars different. But I can vividly remember you saying it. I was like, I don't know. I mean, uh me thinking AI's getting better.

SPEAKER_05

He thought AI the robot's doing it. I felt it, and Bobby was like, nah, man, this is the new world, this is the new wave. I I was like, you know what, fuck it. I maybe it's just me thinking out loud, literally thinking, I don't know. But you know what? I'm taking that shit back.

SPEAKER_03

You heard it first, actually. You heard it first here on the podcast. We called it D. Hustle was like, yo, this, I think somebody's driving a video game.

SPEAKER_05

I feel like this is somebody's driving. I mean, like, yeah, that's why it has the cameras all around. So I am assuming why he's driving, or whoever is driving, yeah, has like two cameras. Correct, correct. Looking at each and every to see if there's anybody's there. Definitely there's a camera for the back, you know, screen for the back, another monitor for the front. Yeah, yeah. Another monitor for the top to see if for clearance.

SPEAKER_03

And the way you're talking about it, they could have literally had like one of those VR, what are those Apple Go Pros, and you get like a whole 360 view of everything. It could be that. It could be that is crazy.

SPEAKER_05

That's why they have the cameras all over the place, all over. And I was like, man, you know what? I said somebody's driving this shit. I was like, nah. Bobby was like, nah, man, you're we're in the future. You're you're delusional. You you just don't think about it.

Tech Current Events Kickoff

SPEAKER_07

That's interesting. I have some comments. Well, what's up, Raymond? So obviously this false advertising. Now, also, I mean I was I was just thinking, like, how would this company have the edge on Tesla? Like, I'm just saying, like, so it's like if they had that, like, which Tesla came, I mean, kind of had the edge on EV and doing the you know, supervised self-driving. So, but I just thought that was interesting because I thought they were ahead of the game, but apparently they were not. I mean That's I because people make fun of the self-driving in Tesla where you gotta put your hand on the steering wheel. Correct, correct. But this is completely someone driving it. Like I don't have to do anything. All I gotta do is put my finger on my driving wheel and they will take me home. Yeah. So I just thought that that was interesting because I thought Waymo had the edge. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But we were just I mean, technically they did until we found out why. That's funny. Yeah, I think it's uh well, first of all, I think I read something that I guess uh Alphabet Google kind of owns them, so I don't know how that's gonna work out with that relationship. But like you said, I thought it would meant Google was in the front running, and I I I could have sworn I was, you know, chilling with you know AI doing it. Me too. You convinced me that I was emotional and proud that I could experience that. But um somebody remotely, you know, driving it in a video game, like I don't know now.

SPEAKER_07

What's more safer, a human driving it or the computer?

SPEAKER_03

Well, well, I'll I'll say this. I used to base computers driving it off of Wave Moon. Right? When somebody asked me, Oh, have you ever been in one? Yeah, I went into the Wave Moon, I was driving, right? But now I don't even know what I can say now. Like, it's it's crazy, bro. It's crazy. But it is definitely uh uh an insight. Um, but you heard it first. D hustle already peeped it. You can't get nothing by this guy. Nothing by this guy.

Waymo Teleoperation Controversy Deep Dive

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, cancel out with me. Now you made uh Raymond over here a better Tesla user. Yeah, you know, he's a more Tesla believer than ever. Now he is, it's over for us, it's a done deal. It is what it is. Anyway, I digress, get back to our Nux uh subject here, ladies and gentlemen. These are for our lovely people who loves running. Ooh. Uh e-bike for your feet. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. He said it's e-bike for your feet. E-bike for your feet. Uh-huh. Uh so basically is a bionic sneaker that could change human mobility. All right. So just to give you a heads up here, uh, from the headquarters of Nike headquarters, uh Philip H. King uh campus over there in the beautiful Oregon. Uh I don't want to give my my sources out there, you know. Talk over there, because then next thing you know, I'm gonna get no shoes shipped to me here. Yeah, yeah. Uh, you know, it's uh for people who like to go running, uh they mostly you could say walking too, but it's it's more of uh how do you like to call it from what he is saying? He's uh he is acting, not acting, uh precision for the uh oh my god, I lost the word. Anyway, uh it's more like uh a project amplify footwear for a system that he's basically aiming for broad audience to design this everyday at least to give them energy when need to go further, to go faster, and a greater level of confidence, he says. So it's more like an e-bike on your feet. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I um I'm and this is definitely for the audience members, and and our uh video guy would throw up an image of it. Just imagine like something cuffed to the back of your thigh and hooking up to your shoe to help you accelerate as you're walking. Um the bike part, maybe the the motion, is that what they're calling like the bike?

SPEAKER_05

So running straight, you know, over there. Um so Nike is planning to launch this project Amplify in 2028. So Nike's jumping on this? Yeah, Nike's jumping on it uh over there in the headquarters on his battery, 3D printing titanium, uh to help you know, shelves that clinch with the calves. It's battery operated. Um it says here, weigh a couple of pounds and took a little something off the terminator or RoboCop from what they're saying.

SPEAKER_03

It looks cool. Um then let me ask you, would you buy? Uh to run? Yeah. You win? Yeah. Give me more distance.

SPEAKER_05

My does more distance, walking, you know. It I think it just stabilizes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

That's the word I was looking for. Stabilizing.

SPEAKER_03

Because it does get around the your ankle.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, if you see the picture how he looks, um, helps out with the shin. Um for all my thugs and gangsters out there, this is not for you. If you're trying to run from cops or anything like that, you're not gonna get that connection, that curve that you're looking for. So leave that alone. But on the everyday street where, yes, this is uh this is where that for you runners. Uh high, high walkers, if you can say soccer plays, especially, if it helps out a lot with the shins. So something like this will help out for you guys.

SPEAKER_03

Um It'll be interesting. I mean, uh I feel like oh price yet.

SPEAKER_05

No, no price yet.

SPEAKER_03

Oh price yet. Oh, I was gonna ask how much. Uh but it's like we're moving to more like bionic people. Like you're gonna be wearing this to get an edge, uh, obviously during workout, but just imagine also like uh different type of jobs they might start installing these type of things.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, it's pretty cool, man. I had these shoes, uh, sneakers in my house that I haven't worn yet. Uh that it ties itself. It what? Ties itself. So all I do is put my foot in, hit a button, and it just goes. Wow. Um I just never wore the shit, you know. Um something high in the mess. Cost me a lot though, but well, you're a sneakerhead, so you can see it. It's really cool. It's a basketball shoe, it's really cool. Uh it laces up itself, it releases the power. Um, I used to have, well, I still have uh some old Reebox core reebox pumps, ladies and gentlemen. If you guys don't know what it is, it's basically almost the same thing. You pump it uh as much as when it gets tight uh to the to the pressure that you're looking for, uh it gets nice, and then when you're done, ready to take it off, there's a button on the side that releases, it releases, you heat it, it comes out completely out. Uh so it's something just like it, it's just more uh stabilizing, just more for the shin guards, you can say.

SPEAKER_03

That's cool. How about you, Raymond? You you thinking no? I'm not a runner, so I need to finish that.

SPEAKER_07

I'm not a runner, so yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I'm I'm just I mean increased mobility, you know, it's like uh more distance. Yeah. Uh I I let me tell you, it's it's almost for me. We were just talking about the Apple Pro, you know, people were walking around with Apple Pro. I just gotta see people with it. Um, and definitely I I think if it's enhancing, um, it's it's a great idea. But the the the seller for me is that Nike's already jumping on this. Like they they are ready. Oh, they were at CS. I just read a part of the article that they were showcasing this at CS.

SPEAKER_05

This is like a little video in the bottom there. You can see the person walking up.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, finally got down there. Oh my man. Well, thanks a lot for that insight there, uh my guy uh D Hustle. Um, next up we got my guy uh Raymond, don't call him Ray Ray, with some um utility sites, um, some uh maybe even a show at the end, you think, right? Yeah, we'll see. What's going on, player?

SPEAKER_07

All right, first one up here. You always hear me complaining about my situation. What situation?

SPEAKER_03

Okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_07

So if you got like a bad day at work or complaining about somebody, or you got a bad day at school, or you got a bad day at home, whatever the case is. I want you guys to check out this website. Even our audience, too, our listeners, check this out too. Yeah. Um I'm gonna drop it in the chat right here. The website is called Screamintothevoid.com. What is this? Screamintothevoid.com. So, for example, Bobby always hears me talking about a certain person at my job. So in here, you type in uh for the purposes of you know keeping this a friendly event, we're just gonna say his name is Bob Smith. All right. So Bob Smith, so if you type in screamintothevoid.com, it says type in your feelings here. I'm gonna say I hate Bob Smith. And then what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna hit the screen but it's just gonna put that out into the atmosphere there. So just type in whoever you want in there, and then you just having a bad day, you want to just release that stress, go into screamintothevoid.com, type in the person's name or whatever, your gadget, your TV, your cable company, type it in there, just hit the screen button, and you will feel better, trust me. Wow. Screamintoth.

SPEAKER_03

Scream so it's screaming for you. Yes, it's screaming for you. Into the void. So you get to write what you're saying, yes, and then the the site screams it out for you. Correct. So that you're releasing that feeling or whatever it is. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

So Bob Smith, I hate you.

SPEAKER_03

Like, fuck you, Bob Smith. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

So so yeah.

SPEAKER_04

De Hustle. What are you over there? All right, we're into the void over there.

SPEAKER_07

De Hustle's got a lot of people that you know he wants to scream at you one of them.

SPEAKER_05

What? That's the worst for the word I can't scream to find the void. You can't scream at work. You can't scream at work, so you tell somebody to scream for you. Yes. Come on. What about if you want to hit somebody? Should I tell somebody to go and hit them for you? Hey, who's the person that you don't like at your job? Knock them out.

SPEAKER_07

Bob Smith. Oh my god. So yeah, I thought this was interesting, right? I mean, what? De Hustle. I'm surprised you don't like it.

SPEAKER_03

Well, let me ask you this. It seems like it's something to help therapeutically to get out of some stress. Yes. My question to you, have you used it? And if you have, did it work?

SPEAKER_07

I use it all the time. Right now, I just typed in Bob Smith's name, and I feel much better.

SPEAKER_05

You feel much better? I feel much better. I don't think you feel how many times you play it?

SPEAKER_07

Uh all day, every couple hours. Maybe at least every hour for me. Well, it has to be Bob Smith. So, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That's wild.

SPEAKER_05

Especially it's not screaming that loud the way you want it to scream. You're so low. Nah, I'd rather step away, go offside, and scream. Yeah, Darwin says I gotta let it out myself.

SPEAKER_07

So, yeah, scream into the void.net audience. The next one, Raymond. Oh my god, come on.

SPEAKER_05

So you guys leave a comment below if you want to scream.com. I think it's into the net.

SPEAKER_03

Actually, right in there who you actually did a scream to into the void for. Oh man. So what else you got on your list play?

Safety, Tesla Comparisons, And Trust

SPEAKER_07

Alright, so I got some uh information here for you guys. I got a question for you guys. Oh, this is a stupid question. I already know the answer. Everybody uses YouTube, obviously, the audience to watch our stuff. Like, I I mean, nobody probably uses YouTube more than me. I'm on YouTube as soon as I wake up and until I go to bed. Um, like I love YouTube. It's a great app, it's a great, you know, for everything. Your podcasts, your videos, your research, and everything like that. The beef what I have with YouTube is the freaking ads and the fact that you can't lock your, you know, your phone if you're watching a video or anything like that. Oh, yes, yes. You gotta get YouTube Premium. Yes. YouTube Premium, I'm not cheap or nothing like that, but YouTube Premium is$14 a month. Your family plan is$25 a month. You can add to six people, it's worth every penny. I had the trial version of it, and it's worth every penny. It blocks the ads, you can lock your phone, it comes with YouTube music. It's fantastic. But I ain't paying that money. So I wanted to give you guys a little hack or a little um nugget that I gave you guys almost two years ago. I had to look to my notes. I talked about this nugget uh October of 2024. The Brave browser.

SPEAKER_05

He remembers that guys when he went into the archive.

SPEAKER_07

I went into the archives, so I'm gonna drop the nugget in here. There's a browser that, because you guys know I'm always doing research on the internet. I like to keep my privacy and I don't want you know people knowing what I'm doing. I talked about the Brave browser two years ago. The Brave browser um did a quick update. What YouTube has been doing is there's some browsers out there that'll allow you to watch the videos in the background where you can lock your phone and all of that. So YouTube has been putting out an update to take that off. That ability. Yes. So Brave came out with a new update. You can lock your phone and watch YouTube videos. Interesting. It's fantastic. I love it. You can lock your phone, you can use other apps, uh, just download the Brave browser, you launch YouTube inside of it, you can literally lock your workstation, the video is still playing, the sound is still playing, you can launch other apps, it's fantastic. So it's like a big F you to YouTube. And so the Brave browser, there's a setting on there, allow play videos in the background. Uh-huh. You don't have to spend the$13.99 for YouTube. And guess what, guys? And audience, it blocks the ads too.

SPEAKER_03

What do you mean blocks the ads?

SPEAKER_07

It blocks the YouTube ads.

SPEAKER_03

So while YouTube video is playing, you know, it pauses and then it transitions to the ad? It blocks that now?

SPEAKER_07

Yes, it blocks it.

SPEAKER_03

Wow.

SPEAKER_07

And the Brave browser is free. So interesting. Just been using it nonstop.

SPEAKER_03

So So let me let me ask you this. Is it worth transitioning over from Chrome to Brave?

SPEAKER_07

I stopped using Chrome almost two years ago. I only use Chrome at work.

SPEAKER_03

You only use Chrome at work?

SPEAKER_07

Yes, but the Brave Browser.

SPEAKER_03

You've always been using Brave?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I've been using it almost two years ago. Oh, yeah. And now they got this update where you can watch your videos on your phone. Like it's frustrating. Like you can't minimize YouTube or anything like that. Now you can do this on the Brave Browser. You can do other apps. You can do whatever you want. It's still playing in the background.

SPEAKER_03

Does Brave Browser block YouTube ads? It says yes.

SPEAKER_05

Before I go further into that, um the YouTube you can watch TV is$14.99 still too?

SPEAKER_07

No, that's YouTube TV. That's like$80 a month. This is I'm just talking about the YouTube premium premium, yeah, I believe. For like, you know, watching videos and stuff like that.

SPEAKER_05

So you gotta download this app. Once you download this app, you have to put YouTube into this app. Or you watch YouTube through this.

SPEAKER_07

It's a browser. So you just launch YouTube inside of it.

Shift: Bionic Sneaker “E-Bike For Your Feet”

SPEAKER_05

You don't have to sign putting your sign in your name and anything like that?

SPEAKER_07

No, you don't. If you want to sign in with your YouTube account, which I do because it has my playlist and all of my subscribers. Yeah. But literally, I just have the video, I can lock my computer, I can lock my phone, I can open up other apps, it's still playing. It is amazing. I wanted to give that little nugget to you guys in the audience. So save your money on the YouTube premium. I'm sure YouTube will come out with another Pad, and then Brave is gonna come out. Hey, so yeah, it's it's it's great. It's fantastic.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, the same thing says YouTube is the second most powerful website in the world and one of the most popular that people use every day. But it's full of abs. Um and it says the ads have delayed and interrupt your contact, but visiting YouTube on this browser, you immediately notice the difference. It says that it is designed with users like or users in mind. Every brave feature is designed to make the internet better and more private, but also allows you to get around ads that interrupt your daily use. So that they're standing on that. That's like a feature.

SPEAKER_07

Like YouTube got you by the balls. Yeah, they want you to be able to do it. I mean they ain't got me. I'm just saying, come on now, pause. I'm just saying, well, pause. I'm just saying, you gotta pay them to get ads, and then you gotta pay them again if you don't want ads. So they got you. That's it's the hustle. It's crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Like, or you just take the ads. I mean, what's wrong with ads? I don't it's I mean, you it's well, you you you you're like the newer generation that don't remember commercials. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

But you gotta pay for that too, like you know, on you know, Prime now, you gotta pay extra not to get the commercials. I know and Hulu, it's frustrating.

SPEAKER_03

It's all a part of the puzzle uh part of the hustle. Um but at least they have some uh workarounds. My thing is is how long do YouTube keep that open before they you know shut that door? Um because it is meant to purposely cause you to have that experience. I agree.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, so there you go. All right, check out the brave.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's a good one, Raymond. I'm I'll I'll definitely give you a round of applause for that one.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, so yeah.

SPEAKER_03

All right, my guy. So what else you got on your list?

SPEAKER_07

Last one here. I got a show here to I'm gonna drop in. I'm curious if you guys have seen it here. It's called nine, it's called Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue. What? Nine Bodies and a Mexican Morgue. Have you guys seen this? No. Has anybody heard about it?

SPEAKER_03

Not even. Okay. It's is this like a low budget?

SPEAKER_07

It's not low budget. It's on MGM Plus.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't even know MGN had a plus. Yes, MGM has their own video app.

SPEAKER_07

So I will say this. If you have nothing else to watch, you ran out all of your shows, all your movies. Domin's already fell on the screen. Because right now, it is a down period for shows and movies right now. There's a down period for you right now. It's a down period for shows right now. Like, watch these. It shows that you're coming day after day. It's getting worse and worse, bro.

SPEAKER_05

You first started off with his and hers. Then what was the other one?

SPEAKER_07

Did you watch his and hers yet? No, I'm not going to either. Wow. Okay, what about um Andor? Have you guys seen Andor? That's another one. Andor have seen. But Andor's fantastic. Now it's nine bodies Mexican or dig deep for this one here. He did? Yes. Like I said, if you have nothing else to watch, nine bodies and a morgue. It's not the best thing I've seen. It's not the worst thing I've seen. But it's entertaining in the eyes. Like I said, if you have nothing else to watch, you're just going through like your archives.

SPEAKER_03

But my my question is, how would I actually get oh oh it's on prime. So it's MGM Plus on Prime. Yes. Okay, okay. Because I'm trying to figure out how this would even end up in my for all I know.

SPEAKER_07

D. Hustle will watch the show and he'll probably think it's the best on Earth. I am telling you, if you've got nothing else to watch, check it out. I thought, you know, I'm not saying it was the worst show. It's not the best show. So yeah. He's giving it a five out of ten. I'm just I mean he got six six point three. Yeah. So like I said, if you ain't got nothing else to watch, you like, you know, so check out nine bodies in the morgue.

SPEAKER_03

Well, the the real question is, is is is D Hustle gonna watch it? I mean D Hustle. Uh let me see who's using Abbott.

SPEAKER_07

It's got it's got some good people on there. So I see one black guy, so yeah. So, well, you know, they always gotta have a black guy in there. But yeah, nine bodies in the morgue on MGM Plus. So yeah. All right.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know about this one, Raymond.

SPEAKER_07

Well, you haven't even watched the show, bro. Bro, this seems low budget to me. How is it low budget when it's on a major MGM?

SPEAKER_05

I said, let me let me look at the cast. It gave me 33 people of top cast. So the whole cast members are the top two.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

So yeah, check it out. Nine bodies and morgue, guys.

SPEAKER_03

Actually, add the comments back. Nine bodies in the Mexican morgue. Nine bodies in the Mexican morgue, which is really suspect for me. Uh, but don't let the name if you are interested in giving us real feedback, put it in the comments below if you've seen this, if you're gonna even watch it, um, and then give Ray Raymond a rating for this one for sure. Yeah. Because Raymond says that the audience is asking for this.

SPEAKER_07

Dropping, I'm dropping the gems in there, guys. We just can't talk about like, you know, all superhero movies.

SPEAKER_05

Make a clip from Nine Bodies Software. When I do a post on Instagram to I want to hear what people want to say about this thing here. I'm curious. I'm gonna go ahead and give it a womp, womp, womp, ladies and gentlemen.

SPEAKER_07

Don't judge the book by its cover or its name. That's all I'm gonna say.

SPEAKER_05

The name is just not where is that for me? Yeah. Um, but hey, we we got I can't wait for next week. I just can't wait for next week. What else do you have, Raymond? That's it. That's it, guys.

SPEAKER_07

Hold on to that.

SPEAKER_03

I appreciate you, Raymond. We got what was the gone? Screaming to the void. Screaming to the void. Uh-huh. The brave browser. The brave browser and bodies in the Mexican Ward. I think out of the three, maybe one of them is hitting. What?

SPEAKER_07

The screaming?

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_07

I thought that was the best one. The browser.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I was clicking on their site real quick. It looks like it has some built-in VPN stuff. It has some other stuff. Privacy. Yeah. Um, out of the three, Raymond, that that I don't know about.

SPEAKER_07

I thought the void was great. Bob Smith. F forget you, Bob Smith.

SPEAKER_03

I think it's good for you. Yeah. So. Or you just need to go outside, bro. Just go outside and vent. Uh but, anyways, give him one more time, Raymond's Nuggets. Uh and and uh D Hustle has a mistake pressing that. Did he? Yeah. All right, fellas. Well, Raymond always entertaining. Appreciate you. Um and definitely check out those sites, let us know which ones work. Um, definitely though, the browser one for this YouTube uh feature. Uh I don't know if it's a good one. That's a game changer. It could make a lot of people switch over. So um definitely check it out. Yeah. Yeah. Alright, fellas. So uh we got uh the next segment up here. Uh go ahead and cue up the music for uh tech insights. Uh let's see what we what we got. So there he goes. I'm bringing up an old joint there. Uh so for tech insights, what we've been doing this year so far is uh talking about product reviews, talking about some cool stuff that's happening in tech. Um really just bringing to light some of the things that we've encountered on these streets. And one of those that I want to talk about, um, and before I bring the product up, I actually want to I have a question for you both. So um one thing that we've mentioned on this on the show before is how much um devices listen in our house. Like Raymond, you have like how many Alexis devices there. Nine or eleven. He doesn't want to answer 9 to 11.

SPEAKER_05

This guy's the FBI trap. Ready to catch everything. Everybody's the bathroom is listening.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, the attic is listening. Everything's listening. I do have them in all my bathrooms.

SPEAKER_05

Wow, that's that's creepy to me.

SPEAKER_03

My thing about that is hold on, hold on.

SPEAKER_05

What are you gonna do in the bathroom for Alexa to the bathroom for the show? Let me explain to you. All right, let's hear that.

SPEAKER_07

My kids would always break into my room to go into my bathroom because they love watching YouTube while they're taking a shower.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_07

Now they got their own Alexa with a screen, they're taking a shower, they can watch YouTube. So hold on a second.

Audience Reactions And Use Cases

SPEAKER_03

You you're in there to take care of business. In and out. Well, why are you watching TV? I mean, if if you would have told me that they were playing music in the background, okay, maybe you have that. But to watch something while taking a shower?

SPEAKER_07

Why not? I'm watching my YouTube while taking a shower. I watch the news. Hey, Alexa. I had to stay so far in the bathroom getting all the time. Alexa, tell me about my day. What's going on? Like, I've it's great.

SPEAKER_03

I I can see that, but watching TV.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, like it's great. Not to get into personal details, but let's just say Why not? He did one up on the stole. Let's just say you're having a nice night with your lady. I think you guys are wise. I'm taking a shift. You are taking a nice bubble bath. You can I've watched shows and movies in my bathroom. Ah my god. So it's just great. All right.

SPEAKER_05

So so you're not entertained, you're not being entertained, you need the TV there because your lady can't entertain you.

SPEAKER_07

I'm just saying, with my lady, I left that door open, though. I've let I've sat in and we've had wine or whatever and watch a show.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, Raymond. That's just wants in a blue, bro. But if you had a hot tub, I can't have a TV in my bathroom, man. You can have a TV, it's a it's an Alexa. Yeah, Alexa, but it's a digital one. Yes. Yeah, it's almost like a TV.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, they're a little tablet you can see. Yeah, yeah, like a tablet mounted on the wall. It's a tablet. Uh all right, but in general, yes. The thing that I'm actually really inquiring about is how do you feel about all of those devices listening all the time?

SPEAKER_07

I got nothing to hide. I don't mind.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because technically, they are listening all the time.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, there are some privacy features you can turn off and stuff like that, not to share data, but yes, they are always listening. They're always listening. I got nothing to hide. They want to hear about me complaining about how the dolphins suck and all that. Feel free to listen in on that convo.

SPEAKER_03

How about you, D? How do you feel about devices at your house, like um Google Home and all that stuff, always listening?

SPEAKER_05

Uh I don't like it. Um at all, but you know, depends on I don't need it to be listening when I have conversations with the wife and shit. I'm just like, can you go back to this conversation? You know what? It's exactly what I said. I need a review. We wind it back because this is what I said. All right. Flag on the play.

SPEAKER_04

Flag on the play. He was like, roll the taste back. That'll be crazy, though. That that right there was so much.

SPEAKER_05

Alexa, you remember the fight I was having about uh transmissions and she said that this transmission, no?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. Play that backs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That would be fire though. I I think I think I think as men we would win so many of those conversations. Oh, definitely. That's why I'm saying it out loud. It's funny. All right, but the the other thing that I want to ask you is uh how do you all feel about uh those devices having AI behind them listening all the time? Because right now, if you think about Alexa or Google Home or even Siri, they're not really plugged into AI all the way. They're still listening for commands, they're listening and announcing um reminders and things like that. But there really is not an AI component behind it. How how do y'all feel about when they flip that switch that AI is actually really listening?

SPEAKER_07

Uh well, I mean, Amazon has been experimenting with doing the AI now, so but they it hasn't f it's not fully unleashed yet. Yeah. But yeah, that is um, yeah, I'm gonna be a little worried slash excited.

SPEAKER_03

I was about to say it. You're not gonna have no difference in the way that you operate. You're not gonna take the TV out of the back. No, no. He's still gonna have that. How about you?

Raymond’s Utility Sites: Scream Into The Void

SPEAKER_05

You worried about it at all? Um, yes and no. I'm gonna tell you what I'm what I'm worried about. I I have if you're getting planning to get anything like Alexa, um the Ring, uh Google, uh Nest, uh AI, be expecting to the device to start listening to everything you're saying. Yeah. Uh the reason you're getting it, you gotta be mindful that they're gonna start listening. Now, if there is an option to take that out to not give information out, then I'm all I'm all about it. Yeah, yeah. But I'm all about having all that stuff in because again, back to the humanoid. If I have one, I can have that doing a whole bunch of shit for me. That's what your future you're seeing already. I see it already. Yeah, but yeah, I'm all about it. I'm all about it. I mean, I just don't like my personal information giving out without my yeah, yeah. We're gonna have to sign the HIPAA.

SPEAKER_04

It's like yeah, y'all can't use what I yeah, what I got unless I know about it. Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_05

But yeah, it's cool, man. I like it. It's it's the world now.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'm I'm actually happy that both of y'all are very progressive about that. Um, because I would say maybe three or four years ago, we would probably be very against this idea of devices, including our cell phones. Our cell phones are listening all the time.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, definitely.

SPEAKER_03

Like, I don't know if this happened to y'all. We reported before Christmas time, you're talking about, hey, I'm thinking about getting something from my wife, and all of a sudden now it's telling me exactly what she wants.

SPEAKER_05

Instagram tells me that all the time. Yeah. Uh, you know, get an email, hey, I want to go to Puerto Rico. Hey, it's a good day to go to Puerto Rico next week. All of a sudden, my my feed is about Puerto Rico. Yeah. Facebook did the same thing. So they're listening. Yeah, they are. Because there's no way all of a sudden we're talking about something with you, and then now all of a sudden, it's coming up in my feet. So you're listening. For sure.

SPEAKER_03

So uh the reason why I'm bringing it up is I actually want to feature a really cool product that I picked up at CES. What you got? Uh it's called OMI. OMI. Yeah, and you see its label, it says that it is a wearable chat GPT. Wow. Now, does that change the game for you? Does it have the camera on it? No, only Audible. It it can listen to everything that's going on.

SPEAKER_05

Didn't I talked about something like that?

SPEAKER_03

You you definitely got close to talking about it. AI, uh Apple AI pin. Yes, exactly. So when we reported that last week, I didn't have this ready to show you all, but you can pass that around to take a look at it. But I'm actually wearing it right now. Um it's actually like a uh a necklace. And basically it just hangs on your chest like that, and it's listened to everything. It's like a key fob. Yeah, it's as small as a key fob. Um, and the cool thing about what they're creating, number one, it is open source, so you can go and create your own. Uh but let's imagine that you had a conversation with somebody or you had a few words with your significant other, and you need to get the the actual word transcribed word for word. Yeah, this thing has definitely got it. And it's always listening, but it also is able to do actions. So let's say I'm sitting here and I'm like, all right, um Ori. Oh no, sorry, Omi. Omi, turn on the lights. It's always listening and it will actually turn on the lights. Or Omi can let me know that I got a message because it vibrates a little bit, and uh, and then you can actually. So the the software that it actually runs is what's connecting to my Google home. So this device isn't connecting to it. This device is talking back to a server, and then that server talks to my device at home.

SPEAKER_05

So does it does it does a transcript or or everything on your phone?

SPEAKER_03

So it does everything and downloads it to my phone. So everything stays on my phone, and then what it does is it pushes it to go get transcribed. So it does have to go out to the cloud. Um but it stores it locally on the phone first. So let's say a disconnect. How much data would it use? So the way that they have it set up is uh the hustle is um obviously if you have like they have something like iCloud, you have a limited amount, they give you free five gigs. Right now, five gigs, it took me, I believe, maybe ten days to fill up quote unquote five gigs. And it's listening all day. All day. That whole recording is there. But there's this feature that it goes and purges the ones that it doesn't need because it already transcribed it. Uh audio is bigger than text files, so the audio file gets wiped away and then the text file stays there, so then I get more space available to me.

SPEAKER_05

Can you connect to it and say I want this one deleted, I want this one deleted, I want this one deleted, yeah. This one stays. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Brave Browser Hack For YouTube

SPEAKER_03

I didn't mean to say that out loud. Um the the thing that I'm actually excited about this idea is that uh if you think about what AI can provide as an assistant to you on a always on basis, is that I could be sitting here thinking of like, oh man, I need to add something to my calendar. Um like Valentine's Day is coming up and I need to go look something up for the wifey for us to go out. All of a sudden, um Omi automatically goes and goes search for stuff for me and then send me a message like, Hey, uh, you were thinking about going to dinner. Um here goes three spots on open table. Do you want me to book it for you? Interesting. And this happens in the background. Or let's say that I have uh a need to have a meeting with somebody. Hey, uh man, I need to schedule a meeting with D Hustle next week. Um is automatically kicked in the background, send D Hustle an email, hey, when are you available? And schedules a meeting for you. So that last mile, which is what I'm really calling it in terms of connecting or audibly always doing something to an actual AI instance, is really, really getting close. Um because this thing is always listening, and all it needs on the other end is an AI that's taking actions on the things that you want it to do. That's cool. Yeah, and I'm actually a little surprised that you all were that progressive on uh devices listening all the time. Yeah. Well, I am not like this guy, he's he's not, he's not. Well, he he's he's like two-sided, right? He's like, yo, make sure you use a secure browser and go to the dark web, and then he's like, hey, uh, you can say anything in my house, bro. Like it's it's kind of because you're already in the dark web because I'm recording everything already anyway. Um, but yeah, that that's where the industry's going. And I think um uh these type of devices, which we already have listening, you walk around with a cell phone, you walk around and Alexa is always listening, is now we get to control what happens when it is listening, which is the thing that I like the most about it. Okay, yeah, yeah. So if you are interested, there's a link inside our description. It's called Omi is O M I dot Me, is the website. Um they do have a few items for sale there. If you are looking for a discount, uh look into our description, we got a discount code for you. If you buy one, the show gets a little credit for it. But in general, it's definitely something for you all to check out. And their software is open source too. So if you want to add to it, create your own thing or any device at all, you can make it into a Bluetooth listening device. Um, it's really, really cool. Um, and a big shout out to them for it. So it is priced at, and actually, I just had it up and I shut it down. So for this device itself, it is priced at$29.99. Come on, come on, come on.

SPEAKER_05

If you call now, you get your second one in the next five minutes and the next. My internet's a little slow.

SPEAKER_03

What's going on here? It is actually they're$89.99.

SPEAKER_05

$89, okay.

SPEAKER_03

$89 for the for the mobile device. Um, and then they do we do have a discount, so if you use a discount code, you get 10% off. So that's the one you got? Yep, that's the one I got. That's cool. And is it is there a higher tier than that? So there is glasses that they're working on, um, but it's only audible uh glasses, so no uh video like you all already have with Meta. Um and then they also have a watch wristband type thing. So you can wear the wristband and then you have a little device like that connected to it. Um I I would be interested to see how the the glasses integration, because I think what would be cool is let's say that you have meta glasses, I can plug my meta glasses into the AI that I want rather than sending it to Meta's AI. That would be really cool. Um but I don't know, you know, integration-wise if they're ever gonna open that up. Um but yeah, check it out. It's definitely uh something for uh the enthusiasts out there, you know, if you're looking, you know, to test out some new stuff and also you potentially can write some code on it. Um and yeah, um check out the link and support us if you do decide to buy it. That's cool. All right, all right. All right, fellas. You guys are so progressive. Now y'all self-driving cars, because now y'all know people are really driving it. Y'all listen to everything in the house. Y'all cool with that? Raymond got the TV in his bathroom, which is another story. Okay. And D Hustle always uh giving us some cool insights and some really cool stuff. I'm definitely wanting check out that uh that that new runner, or what is it called? Uh e-bike?

SPEAKER_05

E-bike, it's almost like uh e-bike, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

E-bike. What were you laughing at?

SPEAKER_05

I'm trying to figure out how these him and his girls in the bathroom trying to watch a small ass TV like this, check it, move over. It cuddled up, bro.

SPEAKER_07

And that's too much details. It's mounted on the wall. It's the largest Alexa that you can get. They actually upgraded it a year or two ago. They came out with a 24 version.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, 24 inch?

SPEAKER_07

24 inch. Yeah, and it's awesome.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, bro. But they didn't they didn't make that for you to put it in the bathroom. Where did it put where they're gonna do it?

SPEAKER_05

Because I have one in the kitchen. I have one in the kitchen too.

SPEAKER_07

So you must be getting I have one. Are you getting good deals? It's I mean, I'm I have prime, but you know, I wait till I wait till how much is it? I wait till they go on sale. Oh man.

SPEAKER_05

It's two hundred and fifty-four?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, it's two hundred and fifty four.

SPEAKER_05

It's a 15-inch smart display with Alexa and Fire. So you paid$260 for a small ass TV and barely gonna be utilizing.

SPEAKER_07

I use it multiple times a day. Wow. In the shitter. When I go into the bathroom, the first thing I do is tell me the news. Tell me about my day. Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_05

So you don't see how does the Alexa know how your day went?

SPEAKER_07

Uh I tell it about like tell me about the day, what's going on in the news and stuff like that.

SPEAKER_03

You don't have it plugged into your calendars and all that stuff. I do.

SPEAKER_07

It tells me about my calendars, what I got going on, the reminders, it reminds. Yeah, it's great.

SPEAKER_05

So you don't find yourself being in the bathroom longer than expected? No.

SPEAKER_07

It's like 10 minutes, I'm like, hey, Alexa, open up YouTube. Boom. I've got my YouTube playing. Or I got it's awesome, guys. It's fantastic.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, convenience is uh is one thing, but uh Raymond, I don't know. Uh well I I will say one thing that I did see at uh CES, which might be coming out soon or available to the public, is your mirror having that. So they actually had a mirror that you walked up to, um, and the mirror had like like TVs through the mirror. Yeah. So you can stand in front brushing your teeth and you can kind of see some digital stuff like reflecting through. That's cool. Um, but yeah, I don't know about a wall-mounted.

SPEAKER_07

Let me ask you guys a question. Have you guys never listened to music in your bathroom or the shower?

SPEAKER_03

All the time. That's different than actually watching YouTube.

SPEAKER_07

You can play music on Alexa. You can I'm just saying. I don't have to bring my phone with me. Hey, Alexa. You're correct. Play music.

SPEAKER_05

There's no video in the background. You know, there's nobody dancing, and anything.

SPEAKER_07

You don't just have to play videos. It can do all of it. It can play music too. We're taking I'm taking the show.

SPEAKER_03

But but the thing is that you led with video part.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, well, I mean, it is a uh display device, but you can play music, you can do whatever. Like I don't have to.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I'm not knocking the hustle player, I'm just saying it's not for me. Oh, it's not. I'm knocking it again.

SPEAKER_05

There's no need for you to have that in there.

SPEAKER_07

So you're gonna go in the shitter and take your phone or whatever and then play music and all that.

SPEAKER_05

The bathroom is the last place I want to be in after having a big humongous house. Okay. I don't need to be in my bathroom no longer than 10 minutes.

SPEAKER_03

In and out.

SPEAKER_05

In and out.

SPEAKER_07

So you guys don't take baths or anything.

SPEAKER_03

For what? I I don't think the last time I ever took a bath. So that you don't have a Roman tub. Well, right. Okay. Now he's talking up, right? You see? You're kind of, yeah. We're not at your level, bro.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I'm not trying to, you know, flex, but I have a Roman tub where I could sit down with my woman and we can watch a show and have wine. Uh-huh. And it's fantastic. Yeah. She loves it. Yeah, but she does. Yeah. So I'm just saying. It's great.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Well, us regular folk over here. That have to jump head and out of the shower. I'm glad you used that. I got the timer on my shower.

SPEAKER_05

I had a Roman tub. I only used that shit once. The 11 years I've been in the house.

SPEAKER_07

Look, mine's is getting good use now. I never use it as well. Now. My kids are using it.

SPEAKER_05

How many years have you been in the house?

SPEAKER_07

My kids were using it more than I was.

SPEAKER_05

That's exactly what our kids were doing. Yeah. After that, we don't need it anymore.

SPEAKER_03

It's a waste. I agree with you. Facts. I just want to extend my shower out even more. Um my wife got one side and I got the other side. That's what I would want. Bro, that's fine. That's what I just see. That's what you got D?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, you see. Oh man.

SPEAKER_03

One and left, one and light. See, both of them.

Show Pick: Nine Bodies In A Mexican Morgue

SPEAKER_01

I don't have to fucking worry about hurry up. Nothing. So us regular folks that has just the water holes to take a shower with. This guy's got two showers.

SPEAKER_07

Alright. See, that would be great with that next to the game. I don't need to be in the fucking loud.

SPEAKER_05

The only time I think I use that is I want to take a shower, but I'm gonna miss the game. I'll put the game on real quick. So I'm showering, watching the game. See, there you go. In and out. But I'm in and out. I'm doing what I have to do from head to toe. Okay. I'm not here trying to be in the shower looking at it. Yeah, yeah. That's something my wife would do, would just sit there with the hot water running, just and then that water bill comes up. 30 minutes already, the show is past. She's watching another one.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And wasting water. Nah, the water bill's going up. In and out. I'm good. Anyway.

SPEAKER_03

That was actually uh a really good transition. I like how you did that. Anyway, and then boom. I gotta do that at the beginning. Maybe I gotta step up my game a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, man.

SPEAKER_05

I just do things I could probably know what you do. I gotta do a little bit better next time, right? Maybe next time. Good morning, good evening, good afternoon. Have I already said this before, but if you're just tuning in now, ladies and gentlemen, this is the sports section where we talk about a lot, of lot of garbage and a lot, of lot of shit. All right. We're gonna start off with the beautiful, beautiful NHL, NHL is going on right now, ladies and gentlemen. Who is your favorite NHL team? If you're talking about the Panthers, they're all the way in last place. Congratulations, you have succeeded. You congratulate her. It went back to back, so it went that talking like a true LeBron fan over here, just you know the true Lakers fan. Anyway, at the end of the day, Tampa Bay Lightnings are doing their thing. Montreal, Canada's number two, all the way down to the Metropolitan side. Hurricane's doing their thing. Pittsburgh doesn't seem to let nobody down. Let's go to the Western Conference. Avalanche are doing their thing in Colorado. Minnesota's right behind it. Yeah. And then the Pacific, we're looking at the Golden Knights. They are in first place, but be careful because the Oilers might take their spot. So who is your favorite NHL team? Let me know so I can give them a shout-out. Soccer, ladies and gentlemen. Soccer is going on right now. Soccer people, if you have not heard what I said in my earlier on my Tech Tuesday news, get those shoes right there. Helps with the Shins for you guys over there getting hurt and getting kicked with the ball. Who is your favorite soccer team? Let me know. Chelsea and Leeds are 2-2 right now with 90 plus left on the game. And then the Spurs and has one. Newcastle has two. So let me know who's your favorite soccer team.

SPEAKER_03

Let me ask you something real quick, D. So you're saying that uh e-bike thing, them putting that on to play soccer.

SPEAKER_05

Well, they can play it on soccer, but I don't they're not gonna be able to twist their legs. Yeah, no, that would be crazy.

SPEAKER_03

That would be crazy. But they they'd be sprinting up and down the field like crazy, though. Ah, that's what's up, man.

Tech Insights: Always-Listening AI At Home

SPEAKER_05

Formula Ugh, ladies and gentlemen, Fulham is going on right now. Right now, they're testing out the new vehicles while Lewis Hamilton is getting smooching up with Kim Kardashian over there at the Super Bowl. Now I know if if that's gonna give him his boost that he's looking for. Nah. But we'll see exactly what happened with Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton. Other than that, that's all I got. Boxing. Boxing is getting ready, ladies and gentlemen. As my guy, as my guy, Garcia, knocks out, gets ready, won the fight, and then we're trying to figure out if my man Davies will fight again. Let's see what happened, ladies and gentlemen. Uh, and then other than that, Steven already has won. I already mentioned that before. Other than that, who is what fight are you trying to see? Other than that, that's all I got for the lovely boxing for me. We're making the left turn. NASCAR is out right now, ladies and gentlemen. Who's your favorite NASCAR player? We're trying to figure out if it's Chase Elliott guy with a taste. They'll go ahead and win his back his world. Tennis. Tennis is going on, ladies and gentlemen. If you like tennis, let me know who is your favorite tennis player. Is it a boy or is it a girl? But in the men's side, we have Carlo Alcaraz, uh number one, and Jennings Center, number two, in the woman's side. We have Fariana Shimlo, I don't know, Sabalenka handling that over there. And Iga Schwitz. Anyway, they're doing a phenomenal job over there. You guys are doing really, really good. Keep it up there. We're trying to figure out what's going on. All right, next up, Winter Olympics is on. Give them a big round of applause. Watching Winter Olympics Day is going on right now. I've seen a couple people getting hurt some nothing but love and prayers for those people, hopefully for fast recovery. But other than that, let's figure out what's going on right now. I got Norway with a total with 11, Italia with 11, and USA with 7. Two goals, 3 silver, and 2 bronze. Other than that, that's all is going on in the Winter Olympic. Let me know what is your favorite, favorite choice of Olympics, so I can go ahead and, you know, shout it out. So much. We hopefully Jamaica has their bobsled going on, but we see what happens with that. Alright. Women's basketball, ladies and gentlemen. Women's basketball is on. If who's your favorite woman team right now? The Bearcats are in 9-1. They're doing handling their business. And Rice Owls are 10-0. So shout out to them. And then in the other side, Eastern Kentucky Cornells. Cornells are 12-0. So shout out to those women's basketball teams handling their business. Men's basketball, men's basketball is on. They're doing their thing. Man, I don't even know some of these names. I don't know how they find these names. But there's one that I finally see here. South Florida Bulls at 8-3. And then NJIT Highlanders. What league is this? This is American Eastern Conference. Interesting. That's exactly what I said. So shout out to that. Other than that, ladies and men, let's move on to the NBA. Raymond's favorite segment part. Raymond's favorite, favorite segment. Before I continue, Raymond, any comments, questions, or concerns before I get into start talking about a lot of shit for your Lakers, aka LeBron.

SPEAKER_07

No, go for it. I mean, now I can just focus on basketball now. Now that football's over.

SPEAKER_05

That's what was taking up all your time. So we'll wait until next week until see maybe he can recuperate. So because I don't want him nothing to say right now. But as of right now, there's a lot of stuff going on in the NBA. The Pistons are number one handling business. Guess what happened? New York's Knicks jumped back up to number two. My guy's happy about it. And we got Jose Alvaro from the Pelicans. And we do appreciate that love. We needed that Puerto Rican power in the back end to snap up us for the second string. So we're going to see what happens. Boston Heltics is at number three. Cavaliers bums on number two. Boston who? Heltics. Toronto's number five. Philadelphia 70s chicks. And then where's Miami? Oh shit. Hold on. Let me scroll down. Number eight. Congratulations over there in the Western Conference side. We have Oklahoma 41 and 13. Shout out to that team. They couldn't beat the record, but it is what it is. Golden State still holds number one on that. Something that LeBron can't do. But what? What was that? Was that something? Anyway, uh San Antonio number two. Shout out to my man Wendy. He's doing phenomenal in fantasy league. Let's shout at your boy. We're doing phenomenal. Denver, number three, number four, Houston, number five. The Lakers bums over there. And Timberwolves are right number six. They say, yo, hold up. We're trying to figure this thing out. But other than that, on the NBA side, uh LeBron calls out Lakers. We're not a team. We're not a title team. Now he needs more fucking help. We're trying to figure out what's going on with this guy. He has one of the best fucking players in the world. He needs more. You know, somebody please help this guy. Somebody please make. You know what we need to do? We need to get the best five MBA, no, best ten MBA players in the world to play in the NBA. And if they lose, he still needs a better team to fucking figure it out.

SPEAKER_07

It's not a good team.

SPEAKER_04

Don't they have uh what's that Luca? Luca guy? Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Almost the best basketball player almost right now in the world. What do you need, bro? What exactly do you lead? I mean, let's let's go to the roster because I have to put this guy in. You got the Andre Elton, nice center, seven foot man. You guys got him from Phoenix, balling. Luca, balling, Rue, Rui, whatever his name is, gangster, balling. Jackson, Bronny James, shout out to Bronny James at the two points. We need that in the NBA around here. Uh Luke Horner, okay. Maxi Cobbler, okay. Dalton, oh, great. Jake doing phenomenal. Austin Reeves, balling. Nick Smith, baller. Marcus Smart, another baller. Jared, uh Randabilt that came from Minnesota. This is not the greatest baller. It's not the great one. What more do you need? You see, you got at least uh one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight people. Yeah. That is six, eight, and above. What more do you need? Don't you got the 55th round pick? I mean, that's the future right there. Wow.

SPEAKER_07

Well, he needs to get playing time.

SPEAKER_03

So Raymond, you you you like like pouring it into the fire.

SPEAKER_05

You know, I need to know what more do you need? Do you need another A D in there? Do you need Kyrie? I mean, what what what and then you get mad because you don't start. Well, what is it? What is it? I I'm lost, man.

SPEAKER_07

I mean, AD's been traded, so.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah. Where's he at now? He's in the Mavs. Oh, interesting.

SPEAKER_07

Well, he got traded, didn't he?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. No, he's in the Mavs still.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

I thought he got traded. Anthony Davis? Yeah. Yeah. To the Mavericks. No, but didn't he just get traded from the Mavs? Not that I'm aware of. Unless I missed that news update. I know he was out, he's out for the season. Okay. Uh, you verifying data for me? Uh I'm trying to, but you know me. But other than that, what what what else do you need, bro? Like what it is. It's traditional. Oh, he got traded to the Wizards? Yep. Oh, good for him. For who?

SPEAKER_03

Uh it says uh Anthony Davis is heading to Washington in a nine-player, three-team trade with Dallas. What's that bullshit? And Charlotte.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_05

Anyway, anyway. Uh back to Luca. Uh and uh the future. The future.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I did want to give a big shout out. Uh Big Boy actually went to see a Heat game last night. Did he? Without me? Yeah, you know. I guess he had a school field trip there. How come I didn't get to that school? I didn't even get invited either. Um I tried to, but they didn't even let me in. Um but he got to go shoot a free throw, and to my surprise, he made his free throw on the court. So he he was really coming home with a little bit of chip on his chest.

SPEAKER_05

And he doesn't even play brawl and he's already uh doing better than LeBron.

SPEAKER_03

He got two points just the same, right? You know? Oh man, big shout outs to big boy. He said he had an amazing time, hung out at Bayside had the whole Miami experience. So I'm happy he went and had a good time.

SPEAKER_05

The Lakers didn't beat my next. Did you know that? You forgot about that? Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

It's avoiding that.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Darwin didn't forget. Anyway, uh, let's go ahead and continue our next subject here, ladies and gentlemen. NFL. NFL has finished, ladies and gentlemen. If you didn't watch the game, you didn't miss much. Uh Drake May was not Drake May over there in that game. I have no idea who he was. Stefan Digg wasn't hardly targeted at all at all. Uh Hunter Henry was maybe like twice uh catches going on there. Stevenson couldn't figure out the defense on both teams was pretty decent. Can't complain. Seems like they're both good defense team there. Um Sam uh Donald, you know, he wasn't performing like I thought he was gonna perform. I was expecting both two high-scoring games, but I guess did not help. But at the end of the day, uh my prediction uh was wrong uh due to nobody showed up. So I lost that. So Seattle, congratulations to that team who won the Super Bowl. Um comments, questions, concerns about that?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I just felt like it was a slow game. It was a pretty slow game. I don't know. It's a lot of punts in the punts where Patriots and kickers, you know, making field goals.

SPEAKER_05

Uh for me, MVP should have been uh Jason Myers, uh the kicker. Yeah, uh, but that's just me.

SPEAKER_03

Didn't he have like five?

SPEAKER_05

At least five field goals. I mean, yeah, field goals. That's crazy. Uh fortunately they don't give MVPs to kickers. Uh so who got it? Uh Sam Donald or was it who?

SPEAKER_03

I don't even know. You know who got it? Actually, low key. I kind of tailed off at the end of the game.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, it was yeah, it was one of the worst Super Bowls I've ever seen.

SPEAKER_03

I was just happy and I'm and I was happy that it wasn't a blowout in the sense of at least the Patriots scored one. I was hoping they would have shut him out.

SPEAKER_07

That would have been a record.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it would have been a record, right? It was that that they were already touting it. Yeah. Um beginning of the fourth quarter, the first team to ever get there without a point on the s on the board.

SPEAKER_05

Um before that the segment go here, what you guys thought about the commercials?

SPEAKER_03

The commercials, a lot of AI. Yeah. A lot of AI. I don't know if you called it, but I think they definitely I I thought the commercials I I don't know. I didn't really feel like there was any that jumped out at me. Like I was like, oh my gosh, I can't believe that. Um but I will say there's a lot of AI. A lot of AI. We we uh we just seen a new error of how commercials will be run, uh, which we recorded here on the st on the podcast on how much money they save to re to actually use AI versus shooting and all of that. Um but yeah, uh I don't know. How about you, Raymond?

SPEAKER_07

Uh nothing memorable.

SPEAKER_03

You can't remember one of the commercials?

SPEAKER_07

I'll just the ring one that everybody's freaking out over the ring camera.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, the ring camera one.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, okay. You know, with like it's gonna scan the area if you have a missing dog, but now it's gonna like use all the other ring cameras in the neighborhood?

SPEAKER_03

Yes. So other people's rings are now all connected together? Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Everybody's freaking out saying, get rid of your ring camera. So I think it's a cool feature. Like if you have a lost dog, it will scan that picture of the dog and look at the other cameras and find your dog or your pet. I thought that was cool, but the internet's freaking out saying how many times you're gonna lose your dog, Raymond.

SPEAKER_03

Uh well, he put a tag on her now.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I put an air tag and another tag, so but yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But I that's the only one I remember. I don't I don't know about that though. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You don't know about that?

SPEAKER_03

No, I mean I already heard that uh a law enforcement can use ring data uh w without even you knowing, right? They they could utilize it during an investigation.

SPEAKER_07

Technically they need a warrant.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I'm just saying, they just can't just get that. They need a warrant. Regardless, they can get it. They need a warrant. A judge needs to sign it.

SPEAKER_03

And everybody in the neighborhood is gonna give up their ring.

SPEAKER_07

That's different. If they come to you and you give it up, then you're scared, but I'm just saying. Exactly.

SPEAKER_03

That that's the thing that I think ring as a platform opens up that type of can of warrants. Yeah, because you know. Then then then I feel like we're at the next level of surveillance. Yeah. Right? It's not that I didn't know when you left your house. I actually knew when you got down the street because I seen it off of that camera. I seen when you turn and you got to that camera, that house. Like, I don't know. I mean, unless unless you you're okay with that.

SPEAKER_07

Everybody has a camera. Hide your license. Yeah, everyone has a camera though.

SPEAKER_03

I know, but my camera's mine. Yeah. They gotta come and ask me for it. Yeah. With a warrant. They better come and ask with a warrant. But ring ring is uh all tied in. Um yeah, I don't I don't know about that one. I don't know. I don't know how I feel about that.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

But I also have, and this is maybe even an idea to drop, um, is that um we gotta get ready for all cameras always watching us. Yeah. Um, and we actually have more cameras watching us than we'd actually know that are watching us.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, like Alex is watching you taking the shower.

SPEAKER_03

Facts, Raymond, in the bathroom.

SPEAKER_07

There is a camera shutter you can turn on and off. Okay. So I turn it.

SPEAKER_03

How about the other camera that's in the corner that you don't see?

SPEAKER_07

But we were not supposed to discuss that online.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's funny. But I I don't know about that. I don't I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I'm not there yet.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

But when you walk into a supermarket or you go to the store, do you really are you conscious of the cameras that are watching you? I don't think I am.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I'm not.

SPEAKER_03

But I still don't want that. I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I'm I'm uh I don't know. I I feel like I can have audio only, but damn, the video cameras too, that's a little bit much for me. But it's all gonna be tethered. Not that it it is going to, it's already is. Right. It's easy enough for uh Ring to do that. Um I don't know. Anyways, uh that was the that was the memorable commercial remembered. Yeah. How about how about uh the uh Super Bowl ha halftime? What do y'all thought about that?

SPEAKER_07

Uh I thought it was cool. It was a vibe. Um, you know, like I love the performance, I like the wedding, the people that got married, yeah, all the dancing.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't know that was live. Yeah, that was live. Like that was actually really, really them getting married.

SPEAKER_07

That was cool. I thought it was um yeah, it was good. I thought it was good.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. How about you, Dean? I felt good.

SPEAKER_07

Did you understand it? I mean, I didn't understand it. I was just vibing. I agree. Well, most of the time you don't understand. I only knew one hook, the gasolina. That was it. That's the only one. That's the only one I knew. So, but yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Well, yeah. That's it.

SPEAKER_07

Out of all the songs. All the songs, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So you liked only one bad bunny dance, gasolina?

SPEAKER_07

That's the one I've recognized. So, but yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So you name a song that it wasn't even part of the performance.

unknown

I don't think.

SPEAKER_05

Did he like play the hook of that during that?

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

A little bit? We gotta go look at the catalog.

SPEAKER_03

He played a little bit of that on there. That's what you were dancing to?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Ah, so I actually thought it was a very good performance.

Privacy, Automation, And Smart Home Control

SPEAKER_05

So Bad Bunny is gasolina. For him. That's crazy as fuck. Didn't he play a little bit of that? That's Dada Yankee. No, but didn't he play a little bit of that? Yeah, he played like a little sample short tribute to the Puerto Rican.

SPEAKER_07

I recognized. I don't recognize that. I don't listen to Bad Bunny.

SPEAKER_03

Not that you don't listen to it, but you don't listen to Bad Bunny.

SPEAKER_07

Don't listen to Bad Bunny. So that's what I said. That's the only thing I recognize was that gasolina.

SPEAKER_05

But you didn't see the half-time show then.

SPEAKER_03

What's that? You didn't see the half-time show because you don't know it.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, interesting. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But I mean, even if I don't listen to Bad Bunny, I knew some of the hits.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'll I'll say this. I thought it was actually a really good cultural reminder and an amazing performance. I think it also emphasized uh the the the beauty of music. Like you don't need to know word for word when there's a vibe going on and it's making your body move and you're actually having a good time. Um I think it also uh reminded the the country what America is, in my opinion. Um as diverse we are. Um so I'm happy that he was able to stand in that light. Um I just didn't like the whole political portion of it. It's almost as bad as the um one knee down from you know a few years ago, like they're they're not looking at the real underlying message that's being made rather than just putting up a front. Well, I mean can they do another halftime show at the same time as the halftime show? Because Yes, there was TP USA.

SPEAKER_07

What is it called? Uh TP USA.

SPEAKER_03

TP USA, whatever. The one that Chris Hart Chris Rock?

SPEAKER_07

Kirk. The person that was assassinated.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay. Whatever that platform is.

SPEAKER_05

There was another one, I didn't even see that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Well, it was on a whole nother streaming.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. But I don't think that worked though. Yeah. I think the numbers were like a hundred, some million tuned into the Super Bowl, and then maybe less than a million um tuned into uh the other one. Um but I I just don't understand. It's it's it's it's uh your dad didn't like the Super Bowl. Who mine?

SPEAKER_05

What do you mean? He didn't like the Super Bowl. Why he even said on on you know on X that worst halftime performance of his I'm just screaming it out. You know he knows how he knows what I'm talking about. I didn't even say anything.

SPEAKER_03

He was like, oh he was actually in town too. Oh yeah, I saw that. That was uh that was interesting. Yeah, I don't know what what's going on with the scene that we're in, but I will say I'm I'm I'm happy to see us recognizing cultures and what really makes America America. So um big shout outs to Bad Bunny, give him a round of applause. Yo, if you ever want to come to the show, we got a spot from you. Uh his English was hitting the other day, so I'm I'm ready for him to do even more interviews.

SPEAKER_05

And that's all I got, gentlemen. From the you know, uh-huh.

SPEAKER_04

So just giving you guys a little heads up. Yeah, you see how he was waiting for that.

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_03

My bad. Uh it's every day. I'm just messing. I'm just messing. But yeah, definitely. Uh show your loved ones, including parents.

SPEAKER_07
