So I've been using it more for type search, but um I like the way that you're thinking of like uh changing it up so that you can't always tell using chat.

Oh no, it says Google was officially founded in 1998. Um but when did they start search? I mean it was all based off search. So yeah, they're they're they're almost 30 years. So they had a good 26, 7 year hold on that. Yeah. Um, I mean, well, not really because it they didn't it did Google. When do you remember Google? Do you remember when you first used Google? I remember hearing about it when we were going like in the early 2000s. Yeah, when we were going to tech school, right? Like 2000, 2001, 2002. That's when I remember. So they're about 20, 25 years in. Yeah. Um, hey, it's a great run.

Yeah. Uh John Smith. Um, so yeah, he's like, Ray, this looks like it's written straight out of Chat GPT. Like he's like, Can you put some thought into this? So, yes, I mean, we all use AI. But was he right? He was right. I should have cleaned it up a little bit. But with the world of AI and everything like this, guys, like everything we do, we like I'm not gonna lie, like I I don't even have brain cells no more. The first thing I do is when I write an email, I copy it, I put it in AI, and I'm like, make this sound more professional and my name. I don't clean it up, I should change it up a little bit, but people are complaining. This sounds like a robot, you know, put some thought into this. So I have a tool in here that it kind of's gone viral. Before you go into that, let me help you out. So, but yeah, yeah, I'm like brain dead. I don't even write my emails no more. I need to like put my own thoughts into it. And my boss called me out, and yeah, there's a tool here called sincerely.com. And sincerely, what it does is it's an AI tool that basically un-AIs your emails, uh, it puts typos in there, it put misspelling, it makes it sound like a human. So, and if you can see at the website, it's pretty cool. They actually they absolutely misspelled Sincerely on purpose, on purpose, and it has a little red line under it. That's a little red line. So it's um pretty cool. It's it's not an app or anything like that. It's basically it's a Chrome add-in. So you have to use Chrome and you add it into your Chrome. So let's say you're in your Gmail, and then basically you add this tool in, and then you're if you're in your Gmail, you'll see a little button and you copy your email, you click the little button, and this will rewrite it and make it sound like a human. It'll give you three different flavors. Do you want it to sound like a regular human, real real human, and then it can even mess it up even more, put typos and all that stuff like that. So yeah. Like us humans would normally put a semicolon, AI puts a dashed in there. So whenever I see that dash, I'm like, oh, y'all use an AI type stuff. Oh, okay. So punctuation-wise, there's definitely something visible. And then the second thing is if um the email is how can I say too perfect?

But I will say that as you start to utilize any of the AI platforms frequently with a logged in account, yes, that it starts to remember how you write and you give it examples, like you say, hey, I wrote this email last week to my boss. Uh, can you help me write a reply? Like you give it examples, it will start to write like you more. So if you have a free account or a logged out one, you're getting the plain and vanilla version of the uh the AI that you're using. So uh if you want it to sound more like you, you have to log in and then give it more examples and let it write emails for you. So mine right now, it sounds just like me. Okay. Like it wouldn't, it doesn't even use those dashes no more. Or it doesn't start off with, hey, Mr. Martinez. That'd be crazy, right? Good afternoon, Mr. Martinez. I have a question for you. Would you please uh honor me with your like this, definitely Bobby. So you have to have logged in so it can learn how. And you also gotta give it examples, so don't think just logging in. What I like to do is let's say that I'm replying back to an email that has a thread. I put the whole thread that has some of my old responses in there, and then I will ask it to reply back. So that would give you a better experience. Okay, so pay for it, Raymond. That's what it's basically saying. Got it. Okay, and then log in with the uh a consistent account so it can remember who you are. Because it doesn't know who you are right now, and it's just gonna do AI stuff.

I don't know if anyone else agrees, but 10 out of 10 show, and I'm gonna make a controversial statement here that um Bullseye is a top five MCU villain. Fantastic show. Finale was fantastic. I love what Marvel's doing. Bullseye, King's Pen, King's Pen. Fantastic. Those are top five villains. I didn't say the best, I'm saying villains. And then right off tonight, we have a special that starts tonight. And I'm gonna drop it in the link here. It is Punisher, one last kill. So Daredevil ended last week, and supposedly this starts off right in the middle somewhere of where Daredevil ended. Uh-huh. This is a special. This is not a show, this is not a movie. It's a special that starts tonight at 9 p.m. It's the Punisher, one last kill. Cannot wait to watch it. And supposedly, right after this, it's gonna lead into Spider-Man, and then Spider-Man will lead into Doomsday, supposedly. So how how so they're chaining different They're chaining all of this together. I love it. So Daredevil ended last week with a bang. This is a special, this is a one-off. Yeah, this is not a show.

Um but again I I think I I I wanted to see Del, oh not Del Devil, um Bullseye have a little bit more fighting into it. Yeah. You know, because I know they're not gonna give him a series. Data Center Technician Career Path

But one of the the things that and actually I'll let Raymond talk a little bit more about it. We could he mentioned at the beginning of the show, but tell us a little bit about that skill that you were referencing during that viral moment of yours.

Yeah, so a few weeks ago I had talked about a topic we all discussed it that Meta is giving a free four-week course on being a fiber technician. So basically they're gonna teach you how to cut fiber, splice it, and all that stuff. The books, whole shebang, everything for free. It's a four-week course, and then you would work in their data center installing fiber.

Yeah, you you so when he says fiber, just think of like fiber optic cables, just like um the ones that you plug into the wall for like your computer or back in the days the phone plug. Yes. Imagine you're plugging in uh uh an optical fiber optic cable that connects this place to that network point, and then it's trans transmitting across light, so it's really, really fast, but it's a unique skill that you can learn because everybody doesn't know how to you know uh plug in those wires, set up the wires, test them out, and it literally runs the internet. It's like the highway for the internet, and you know how the highway works. Um, you will always, always have a job. And one of the things that I've really felt um passionate about this um skill set is that there is no way that AI is gonna take that person's job. Um, the only thing that AI is gonna do for that person that goes and develop the skill is give them more opportunities for work because you're doing something that's requiring physical access, physically connecting, physically validating that light is transmitting, or what they're doing is laying cables in the ocean from you know Europe all the way to North America. And the one that I can't wait is one from Africa to North America, right? Um, all of those skill sets will rev revolve around fiber optic cables. Um, but when Raymond told me about this, I was like, you know what? There's more jobs and roles that we can encourage our community to look at um if they're interested in, outside of just network fiber optic cables. And there's a role that I actually went to go talk to an old mentee of mine that he's actually in the role right now, which is a data center technician, data center engineer. Have you ever heard of those roles before? Data center, how about you, Dean? So when you think of data center technician, data center engineers, just think of it as the person that is managing the computers, like the physical computers, that we're all connecting to. So all of our devices, laptops, our cell phones, all of them have to connect to another computer on the internet that's housed inside of something called a data center. A data center is a warehouse building where it's full of computers. There is a job that there is a person that basically helps maintain and support the reliability, the growth, the installation, the removal of computers inside those data centers. And most of the times they're called data center technicians. Have any of you ever done that role before, data center technician? No. No. No. I mean, have either of you ever actually been in a data center before and kind of seen that kind of responsibility of what that is? Yeah. So if you haven't, just think of it, you're walking into a warehouse like you're going to Sam's Club, right? And then Sam's Club has all of those palettes that are stacked up in each aisle. Now imagine they say, hey, there's a computer that's broken in aisle number 20, row number five, and the computer number is one, two, three, four, five. You as a data center technician is you take all your tools with you, you're going to that data center location, and you're physically touching that computer, either sliding it out, uncabling it, and trying to repair it, fix it, plug in something called a crash cart, which is like a monitor so that you can see what's going on on the computer, and then you're there fixing it. You might have to take out a hard drive, you may have to replace, you know, a NIC card, you might have to plug in a wire from this endpoint to that endpoint. Something has to happen physically. That's why these jobs are not going to go anywhere because you need someone physically to go and touch hardware like that. Now, what skills would you have to learn uh to be able to be a uh data center technician? It starts off with hardware. So it's Like certifications like A. You remember those certifications? A plus? It starts off with understanding networking. So, like Network Plus is a nice certification. All of those are COPTIA certifications, and I would encourage you to, you know, definitely check them out if you're interested in this role. But then you definitely want to be able to take it to the next level because those certifications are focused on the hardware. What about the operating system that runs on those computers? And most of those computers, especially if we're talking about AI type data centers, are running an operating system called Linux. L-I-N-U-X. We've talked about it on this show so much. And definitely go and check our archives for video content where we're talking about Linux. And we actually also have learning materials out there on GitHub for learning Linux. But more specifically, learning how to use that operating system makes you the technician that would not just, hey, I'm going to go to this computer and slide it out, but I'm going to be able to log into it, set up, configure, change, remove it from service, add it back into service. And I'm not going to be afraid of something called the terminal. It's basically the command line. When you're managing and utilizing these Linux computers, most of the time you're learning the command line. And in general, all of these skills are skills that you can learn today. Here at the Tech Hustle, we're always talking about it. If you are interested in learning these skills, holla at the crew because these type of jobs, these type of roles are not going anywhere. And as many data centers as they're planning to build, I actually I was just reading an article from um BlackRock. Y'all know who BlackRock is, this big investment firm that earns trillions of billions of dollars. Is they have a projection by 2030 that there's going to be a seven trillion dollar need for people to go and support all of these buildings that they're building. And if the report we've done here on the podcast and how many people are using AI right now, so all of us are actually advanced users of AI. The rest of the world still hasn't even learned AI, and we still need even more computers and we need more data centers. So, in terms of a job, a role similar to what Raymond was referring to around the fiber optic, is data center technicians, data center engineers, and more specific, learning those systems administration skills from the hardware all the way up to where you are running AI, would be something I highly encourage. And definitely just leaving here as leaving this here as a PSA for anybody interested.
