0094: When Tech Moves From The Cloud To Your House
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Nvidia wants to bring AI closer to you, possibly all the way into your garage, and that idea opens a whole can of questions. We break down the hype around Nvidia’s latest chip news, why the company keeps printing money, and what it means when the “bottom of the stack” hardware layer controls the speed of the AI boom. If you’ve been trying to understand where AI infrastructure is heading, this one connects the business story to what could show up at your front door.
Then we get into one of the strangest headlines we’ve seen in a minute: Google planning to release 16 to 32 million mosquitoes across Florida, California, and New York. The science angle is population control through sterile males and bacteria, but we’re stuck on the bigger question: why is Google in the mosquito business at all? We talk public health benefits, the uneasy feeling of big tech stepping into biology, and the theories people will naturally have when a trillion-dollar company starts moving pieces in the real world.
The conversation turns personal with a viral traffic stop where an officer refuses to back down even when the facts are right in front of him, plus a real story about getting pulled over for dark window tints and deciding whether fighting a ticket is worth the time and money. We close with the Tech Hustle Sports Center energy, local sponsor shoutouts, and how you can support the show.
Hit subscribe, share this with a friend who loves tech and culture, and leave a review with your take: would you host a mini data center at home if the money and the terms were right?

Welcome And The Dad Shirt Debate
SPEAKER_04Welcome, welcome, welcome. What up the hustle?
SPEAKER_08What's going on?
SPEAKER_04Chillin' player. What's up with you, man?
SPEAKER_08Chilling, man. Great day. Good June.
SPEAKER_04Great June. Man, June. I can't believe we're already here at June, bro. Oh, that's crazy. We're already halfway through the year, man.
SPEAKER_08Halfway through the year. I got my Christmas gifts already.
SPEAKER_04He already got the things that he doesn't want for Christmas, also. Which are probably socks, uh, uh, uh, uh underwear, a t-shirt, like those normal things that you give me any of that stuff.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, yeah. I'm not looking for any socks anymore. No, no, no. Um Bob gives them away.
SPEAKER_04Exactly. Probably give them away as Christmas gifts. That's who they're not used. No, not used. Unused, unused.
SPEAKER_06Unused socks.
SPEAKER_04And then we got my guy Raymond, don't call him Ray Ray. What up? What up, player? What's up, guys? Chillin', man. You look a real adapter today.
SPEAKER_07Thank you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, a little uh extra layered. Yeah. Did you get some like influence or misinformation here or what?
SPEAKER_07You requested it. You said to dress up, step it up from the dad shirts.
SPEAKER_04I didn't say step it up from the dad shirts.
SPEAKER_06My man's game is not looking good.
SPEAKER_04He he misunderstood what I said, bro.
SPEAKER_06He didn't either. I'm like, the dad shirts are fine.
SPEAKER_04The dad shirts are hidden. I'm not gonna front. That blockbuster one, that was a good one. Blockbuster, stranger things. Stranger things, those are good ones, you know. Uh uh words of encouragement. Keep doing you, bro. Okay. Um it's it's just that we got cameras going around the workspace today. I want you to, you know, be seen in the scene, you know. I get it.
SPEAKER_07Um dad shirts is not a good look for the pod, right? When we're taking, you know, the fancy pictures.
SPEAKER_04Nah, bro. Nah. Well, well, let us know in the comments below what you thought about Raymond's uh dad shirts. Uh oh. There's at least one or two of them that you liked.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, there's one.
SPEAKER_04Just one. Just give him that one. Uh, but if you didn't know, this is a Tech Hustle podcast. I'm your host, Bobby D, and I got my guy D Hustle holding it down. And then my cousin Raymond, don't call him Ray Ray, uh, with his uh he has uh a special shirt today. Special shirt, plaid special shirt, plaid. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08My mace is not like the red one, yeah.
SPEAKER_04You know, or the like the lumberjack tag.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, anyways, uh, thank y'all so much for tuning in here at the podcast. We are a podcast about technology, engineering, and the culture. And we got a really cool show packed lined up for you today. If this is the first time you're here, let me give you a quick rundown of what we got going on. Usually we jump off with my guy D Hustle's gonna have some tech current events. We're gonna have Raymond's Nuggets. What's Raymond's sounds? Let's see if he can. So, Raymond's Nuggets, he's gonna be dropping some insights. Not that other one, bro. Sometime D Hustle will be messing up intentionally or unintentionally. Um, after Raymond's Nuggets, we'll have a quick tech insights that we're gonna be talking about data centers at homes, which yeah, y'all know I'm love talking about that. Um, shout out to Raymond finding that plug for me. Um, and then we're gonna have my guy D Hustle come back around with Sports Center, the Tech Hustle Sports Center. And I think the Knicks are gonna be top of subject. Everybody from New York is quiet, quiet, quiet, quiet, quiet. And then we'll have local sponsorship. Um, shout out our local sponsors, outro, and then we'll close out the show, fellas. What do y'all think? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, baby. Yeah, no doubt. Come on.

Nvidia’s New Chip And Big Money
SPEAKER_04My guy D Hustle with TechCurrent Events. What's going on, player?
SPEAKER_08Good morning, good evening, good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Hope everybody had a good weekend. This is the lovely Tech Hustle here where we've discussed about new technologies and what's going on in the world. As of right now, we're gonna talk about Nvidia. So NVIDIA has this beautiful A N1X chip coming out. Wow. Uh it's 100% of the software stack runs there. If you're looking to run digital biology, you know, systemic
Show Rundown And What’s Coming
SPEAKER_08processing, astrophysics, anything associated with Coda, this gadget has it. All the physics, all the genomics, all everything, all the AI, every single application that Nvidia has done is in this chip networking four layers of AI.
SPEAKER_04That's crazy.
SPEAKER_08All right. So what my guy is trying to do is basically he is not trying to stay behind it because uh he is trying to move up this beautiful processing going on last month, delivering record quarterly. Um, he did 200 billion market and selling the CPUs uh for AI, not just GPUs, also he mentioned for high and serverage CPUs for nearly this year in his quarter, which basically in the video is saying that he's already sold 200 billion worth.
SPEAKER_04Wow. Give give him a round of applause. Big round of applause for Novidia. Um we're only halfway through the year and they've already made over 200 some billion dollars. Um last quarter I saw them report 86 billion dollars in profit. That's like money that they get to go do whatever they want. Um, and now they have a new chip uh that I'm I've always been bullish on Nvidia, especially with them being at the bottom of the stack. When I mean bottom of the stack, they're not making apps, they're not uh building you know uh software platforms, uh, they're not even building operating systems, they're all the way down at the hardware level, and everybody got to buy hardware. It's just like getting a car. Everybody has to get a car. Yeah, um, and they're they're they're they're just right there raking in some money. Um, and now with this new processor, um, it's just gonna level them up even more because now they're getting in the PC market. Hmm. That means we're gonna have all this stuff in our house, not just in gaming computers, you know? Yeah, yeah. That's what's up. We're gonna have another story about Nvidia a little bit later, but uh what else you got on your list there, player?
SPEAKER_08Oh, okay.
Google’s Sterile Mosquito Plan
SPEAKER_08The next one I have is Google. What's up with Google? So Google is planning to release 16 to 32 million mosquitoes over the Florida and California and New York uh next year. So it is called this came out from the beautiful the bug site. Uh so basically what they're trying to do is researchers' plans to raise federal males and release them into the wild inspecting populations, which is uh wow, the wild females mate with a stertile male, their eggs won't hatch. I guess the population is smaller with each generation. So basically, what they're trying to do is kill the mosquitoes with infected bacteria called uh wobaccia. Wobachia. Which uh which makes them sterile. In theory, uh basically what they're trying to do is get the female eggs and leave them unfertilized so they won't have no more people getting, you know, people a lot a lot of people are dying basically due to these infections, so that's what they're trying to do to save people's lives.
SPEAKER_04Interesting. Um, my only question here is why is Google doing this? I don't know. What do you think, Raymond? Is there any like reason why Google would be doing something like this?
SPEAKER_07Uh they're trying to expand.
SPEAKER_04They're trying to get all the money.
SPEAKER_07I mean, Google, uh, they're kind of getting like some bad press. Yeah. You know, like everybody's saying like, you know, their AI is at the bottom of the tier. Everyone's not using Google anymore for search. Just they're just like, I don't know. I think they're just trying to expand. Trying to get that brand back. Because they're just kind of like, you know, they're getting some heat right now.
SPEAKER_04I mean, we we we are definitely in the mosquito realm uh here in South Florida. Um, I think it's a cool concept uh to reduce the amount of mosquitoes that we are about to get in the summer season pump coming up, but I'm still trying to figure out why is it Google that's coming out with this?
SPEAKER_08That's what I'm trying to figure out as well.
SPEAKER_04Darwin's like, I'm not taking that job. No, I'm not. Can you can you help us go switch the mosquitoes out? Darwin's like, nah, I'm good. Uh, but I guess in in terms of what they're doing, I think it's a cool concept of uh eradicating, you know, um mosquitoes over time um by not allowing the egg to actually be fertile. Uh, but I still don't understand why it's Google's mosquito army is the title of this post here. I I don't understand. Yeah, unless they're attaching something, like, I don't know. Like, are they putting cameras on it or small sensors? I don't know.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_07What's the underlining?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, what's the real hustle behind all of this?
SPEAKER_08So if I see a mosquito, I should not kill it saying this is I'm confused.
SPEAKER_04They're gonna have little G's on them or something like that.
SPEAKER_08Maybe if I say hey, uh mosquito.
SPEAKER_04Oh then it responds starts to respond back. Now that's scary though. That's scary that technology has gotten that small in terms of being able to create, let's say, a flying device. Have you seen all of these schools and colleges always have these robotic competitions? Uh, who can make the smallest you know, uh flyer, and then it's all robots, right? It's like um, we're not far off from it. And now they're they're genetically changing them. I don't know what else they could do, but Google needs to chill, bro. Y'all got too much money to spend if y'all now working with mosquitoes, or we just don't know what the underlying hustle is. Well, definitely if y'all have any insights, any um recommendations or why Google is doing this, uh drop them in the comment below. Uh, we'll definitely bring it back on our next episode or two. But um, thanks a lot, D Hustle. On this, this one, uh, this one's a little interesting. Google has their own mosquito army, and they're all sterile. They're just flying out there just to go smash and die. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_08Well, listen, if that's what you guys have to do to kill all the mosquitoes on Alibi.
SPEAKER_04Darwin says, sign them up. Release them in my backyard first. Yes. All right, my guy. Um, go ahead and cue that music up, then, D.
Home Data Centers And The Real Payout
SPEAKER_04So uh, one of the cool things that uh we're gonna continue D Hustle's conversation earlier about Nvidia is uh Nvidia is on a new tariff here um to bringing computing to people's houses. Um there's this article I just dropped in a Discord here. It's my article. Um, that's not yours.
SPEAKER_08That's a different jacket on.
SPEAKER_04He he he wears the same jacket every time. Actually, that's that's like almost his uniform. He wears that leather jacket. Uh so he's always rocking rocking a leather jacket. Um, but my question here is um, has any of you ever run your own? Well, I know my answer to this question, but I'm wondering if either of you two run any of your own like servers, computers at your house outside of your normal like workstation laptop. No?
unknownNegative.
SPEAKER_04Yeah? How about you, D? And most people don't. Like it's it's really novelty for you to actually have your own computers, your own servers, your own network, um, outside of your Wi-Fi that you know you set up when you first get your um internet set up at the house. But uh there's this new idea that's coming up, um, where if you think about what's been reported about the massive growth of data centers, everybody's been a little bit worried about how many data centers are going to be created. That is taking up all the power, there's taking up all the water, electricity, uh, there's no space for it because they have to go build it and this, that, and this. Is Nvidia came out and said, Hey, um, what if we just build data centers at people's houses? Like we already have, let's say, solar panels on your roof. Uh, you already have uh some power units, some batteries for you to store the power from the solar panel. And they're saying, hey, let's just add another box in your garage. Um, and inside of it uh is a small data center that runs computers. And they say they'll pay you $22,000 a year just to have that computer in your house running. Um Darwin's on the calculation right now. We should do that meme with the numbers starting to add up in your head because you started to like add up all the like pro Darwin's like, all right, I got like five properties, do two of them over there. Like, yeah, $22,000 a year to run a computer unit in your house that basically is a part of their whole cluster. My question is is what do y'all think about it? Is that something y'all would consider? Um, and do you think uh $22,000 a year is is worth it? What do you what do you think, Dee?
SPEAKER_08Uh me first.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you you're very intrigued over there.
SPEAKER_08Um, well, I have a lot of questions. Question number one 22,000 years, is this basically to shut me up, or is it basically cutting the cost of my electricity?
SPEAKER_04Ooh. So the article does say, and I'll tell you what it says it covers. It says, um, homeowners get a smart panel, they get a battery backup, they get their electricity internet costs covered in the setup, report a about $150 a month flat structured rather than a big cash payout. So they're saying that they're gonna uh I'll take it. You'll take it? Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's not a bad deal.
SPEAKER_08You're paying $150 a month?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Okay.
SPEAKER_04Just to make sure it's running. And when you walk outside, make sure the light is green. If it turns red, you gotta get another call. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, that's definitely not a problem for me. I need my $2,200.
SPEAKER_04You need you need the $2200? A year.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Uh so if you do the calculation 150 times uh 150 times 12, you're looking at 1,800. Um where's the 2200?
SPEAKER_04Well, I think that's the like the monthly that they're going to always pay you, and then they'll pay you more based on the I don't know if it's gonna be other measurements, but uh that's like, hey, we're definitely gonna be paying you that. Um and and if you think about it, let's so let's say that I have um computing resources in a building, right? Um, but nobody's using it. Am I actually really making money off of it? So my thoughts are is that is as more people are using the computer that's in your house, then they actually pay you more. So um they'll lock you in for $150 a month, but then they'll give you more based on the usage of how much power they're pulling and all that good stuff. Um, you still down for it? Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I'm still down for it.
SPEAKER_04They said, go ahead and sign me up. How about you, Raymond? What you feel about the player?
SPEAKER_07Uh yeah, I mean, on the surface, it sounds like a good deal until you said you gotta pay $150 a month.
SPEAKER_04No, no, they're gonna pay you guaranteed $150 a month.
SPEAKER_07So, where does the $1,000 a month come from? That's where you get $1,000 at.
SPEAKER_04Where you get $1,000?
SPEAKER_07Okay, because I could have sworn I saw on like on the internet that they would be paying you a thousand dollars a month.
SPEAKER_04Ah, let me read this part again. It says homeowners get a smart panel, batteries.
SPEAKER_07They collect a different shirt.
SPEAKER_08That's why you're not able to focus very well.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I got I got no internet, I got nothing, and I couldn't swore I read that. That's it.
SPEAKER_04You gotta find the article, bro. Yeah, technically, I got this article from you.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, okay. So you so you get paid $150 a month.
SPEAKER_04$150 a month structured, and then it seems as though you're gonna get paid more based on usage.
SPEAKER_07So it's like this, yeah, I don't really like that.
SPEAKER_04You don't like that?
SPEAKER_07Because I pay $200 a month now for my internet and cable. So that's not even really offsetting. You're adding cable to it. Take out the cable, I'm still paying over $100 a month for the internet.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_07You pay how much? $50 for internet for cable? I pay like the internet is more money than the cable.
SPEAKER_04The internet is more money than the cable.
SPEAKER_07Yes.
SPEAKER_04Like cable TV? Yes. Okay, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. I expect that. Yeah. But what I'm getting here is that you're gonna get a flat rate to pay for your internet and your and your um and your electric bill for $150, and then based on usage, you're gonna get another check. Um, that most likely will not exceed $22,000 a year.
SPEAKER_07Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It says the the node, which is the box itself, is an AC unit size box uh bolted to the exterior of your house, containing $200,000 worth of high-end hardware. Why would they actually put down tell people how much is in there? Yeah, we're gonna have the goons coming over now. That's cool. Yo, you got any Nvidia hardware?
SPEAKER_07But the goons are not gonna know what a NVIDIA hardware is. So uh yeah.
SPEAKER_04I mean, what do you mean they're not gonna know nowadays?
SPEAKER_07Everything is I'm just saying, like the goons that I know, they're not gonna know what a Nvidia is, they're not gonna know if that's worth any value.
SPEAKER_04I mean, if if well, let me just say, if NVIDIA is actually offering to give me some bread to host some computers in my house, and I don't have to do anything but plug it into the wall, send it, send it to my house. Okay, send it to my house. Um, I'm also thinking that like long term, what this eventually does is is that um imagine your house, like imagine that computer also holding the data that's only coming out of your house. For instance, right now when you talk to AI, you're talking to a quote unquote in the cloud, right?
SPEAKER_07Right.
SPEAKER_04Um, which is leaving your house into their data centers. Now, let's say that that same cloud thing that you talk to is inside that computer that's on the side of your house now. Would you like that better in terms of security-wise?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that's cool.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but not worth worth what you are equating to in terms of bringing it to your house. Yeah. I feel you know. Well, send me the check then. All of a sudden, Raymond says, What is this on the side of my house? Don't worry about it. Uh, is the light green? The light is green, everything is good. Uh, but I I don't know. Um I'm kind of um having mixed feelings about it.
SPEAKER_07So you have mixed feelings about it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I have my basis of mixed feelings is not what they're paying, it's actually what what they're gonna be used for. So my thought process is if like if what they're designing is to let's say um make my community more AI aware, like, hey, everybody in my computer community has these Navinia computers together, so now we're all kind of all connected together, so we don't even have to go all the way out on the internet. If they have like stuff like that, I think it it will benefit um not just me as a homeowner giving them electricity in my internet, but it's actually contributing to my community. If they're doing it to kind of leech off of me, and what I mean by leaching off of you, like literally like a leech just attached to me, and the leech has a NVIDIA tag on it, and we don't really get no benefits from it, like I don't know about that. And that's the more moral side of the house for me. It'll be interesting to see how they they play it out. Um, but yeah, they're gonna be running AI that close, right next to your house.
SPEAKER_08I still don't know what well, here's exactly the catch. So people who are not understanding Nvidia will pay you over $22,000 a year to host a mini AI data center in your home. Well, Nvidia will pay you over $22,000 a year. But then when you scroll down, it says reports of $150 flat structure rather than the big cash out payment. Now, if you do the math, $150 times $12,000. That's $1,800. Yeah, like $20, $20,000 fucking short. $20,200 short to my $22,000. Where are the other where's the rest of the $18,000, uh $20,000?
SPEAKER_04That's what I'm saying. I I think it's a flat rate, and then you're gonna get based on usage. Like, even so let's say that they have the box at the house and they don't have it fully turned all the way on. I mean, we're not gonna pay you for power and resources that we're not gonna use.
SPEAKER_08I'm leaving that shit on all day. Let's be real with you.
SPEAKER_07Why would you not turn it on? I don't understand.
SPEAKER_04But but what I mean by turning it on is like um, so when I used to work in in data centers, right, we had racks of computers turned on. But nobody's using them. We're supposed to leave it on. Say it again. Aren't you supposed to leave it on? Yeah, because eventually somebody could use it. Right. But that that's what I'm feeling like their design is is like, hey, we're we're paying you a flat rate to have it on, but then once you actually start to get people to use it, or people are using it, then we'll pay you more up to $22,000.
SPEAKER_08So put a sign in the front and use this.
SPEAKER_04Scan this barcode for your AI to run out of my house. Yeah. So that that that's that's the part of the hustle. Um that hey, I'm I'm I'm looking for any ways to to expand our our knowledge, our growth with the This type of technology and shoot, if you can run data centers at your house, why not? Um just leave it always on, make sure the light is green and you get a check. So uh cue up uh Raymond's sound. Let's see.
Joe Budden Topic Biting And Pet Collars
SPEAKER_04Raymond, don't call him Ray Ray. Uh uh we we actually had plans of talking about um one of your favorite podcasts. Which is that?
SPEAKER_07Uh the Joe Budden podcast.
SPEAKER_04Tell me what happened though.
SPEAKER_07Uh basically, it looks like they've been biting my topics. So I watched the Joe podcast religiously and I stumbled on the fact that they bit one of my topics, and I wanted to show you guys the clip.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. So, so what what topic was it though? Tell us a little bit about it.
SPEAKER_07Last week we were talking about how innovative the Asians are, and we talked about last Hold on.
SPEAKER_04Let's take two steps. You said we talked about how innovative the Asians are. Yes. What does that mean though?
SPEAKER_07The Asians, the Chinese.
SPEAKER_04Okay, how how the Chinese people have been very innovative. Okay.
SPEAKER_07Yes, to be politically correct. There we go. Asians. So, you know, they're always coming out with gadgets and stuff. And last week I talked about a topic with the collar that you can put on your pet, that it's 95% accurate that they said it can decode what your dog is saying, and we're waiting on Dehustle to get the collar to let us know if it works or not. Oh, yes, I remember that conversation. Yeah, I had a dog too, but we're gonna wait for you to get it to try it out first, so and let us know if it works or not. So apparently the JPP uh decided to talk about this as well.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. So uh Loki, we're gonna play a video of showing the clip that Raymond's talking about. Um, and definitely want to encourage you to take a look at our previous podcast. Um, but when I saw the clip, it even opened up very similar to how you opened up on your podcast announcement. And I'm wondering if they following the Tech Hustle podcast.
SPEAKER_07They gotta be.
SPEAKER_04That's wild. That's wild. Um, and big shout outs to the the the Joe Button podcast. Uh I think they are setting standards on what what our industry is moving towards. Uh, but also if if they're reporting about it and we're reporting about it, but actually we report about it first, then that means we're we're doing something right, wouldn't you say? Absolutely. Yeah, I mean, so that means you should be telling your friend about us, telling everybody to like and subscribe. If we post anything, just like it. Just it doesn't hurt just to press the like button. And if you're really feeling gifted, go ahead and just add a comment, let us know you're out there. Uh, but obviously, here at the Tech Hustle Podcast, we're releasing some information sooner than anyone else in these streets, and then eventually everybody else picks it up. But we we always find a way to report it first. So big shoutouts to you, Raymond. Don't call them Ray Ray. Um, even though your laptop is a little um, I don't even know what to call it today.
SPEAKER_07Internet or Discord? It's both.
SPEAKER_04It's both? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07It's the internet. I can't connect to the internet.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's been a challenging day for the intranets. Um, but uh you will be coming back next episode with some strong um top-tier uh 10 for 10 type uh Raymond's Nuggets and movies, right?
SPEAKER_08You know what? What I'll do is I'll I'm going to limit my topics to one. Uh-huh. And then I'm gonna wait for him to come out with a whole bunch of stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07I only got one more thing. That's it.
SPEAKER_04No, no, no, no. I'm talking about for next week. Oh, next week? Yeah, next week. Now now you gotta pay back for it. Yeah, yeah. So, what was this other thing? Let's just give Raymond some some of Raymond's sounds. Let's what is your other nugget on the list?
SPEAKER_07Um, you need you guys need to see the video.
SPEAKER_04Just tell us about it, bro.
SPEAKER_07You're very descriptive. So basically hold on a second.
SPEAKER_04Okay, let me tell the audience something real quick about Raymond. Don't call him Ray Ray. Raymond is a well skilled public speaker.
SPEAKER_07I wouldn't go that far.
SPEAKER_04He uh is the Toastmaster of Toastmasters at his club.
SPEAKER_07I wouldn't go that far.
SPEAKER_04Uh I'll I'll have you answer one question. How long have you been in Toastmasters?
SPEAKER_07Let me see. 14 years.
SPEAKER_04That tells you right there that he is well skilled together. Uh might might not do well in table topics, which he always
Viral Traffic Stop And Refusing To Apologise
SPEAKER_04feels like he has some uh uh areas of improvement. We all are students of this game here, but Raymond is very skilled. So when I asked him to articulate it, just speak to us, I'm really looking for you to shine that skill that you have and stop shying away from it, bro. So tell tell us what that other topic was.
SPEAKER_07So there was a uh video that went viral last week. This this happened back in January, February. I'm sure you guys saw this. Where Hello ma'am.
SPEAKER_00Hey, good morning. I'm Web Salah with the Pump's counter sheriff's office. This is why you're being pulled over the city of Lake Works today. We're doing an operation for this tractor driver as you drove past me holding the phone to my hand manipulating the phone. I mean, I thought you for you. Um you gonna be submitted for um discommunication.
SPEAKER_02If you want to take it a court, that's what you said when you pull me up.
SPEAKER_00Yes, that's what I said. Yes. Yes. If you want to take it to court, and that's what you saw. That's what I said I said.
SPEAKER_02That's what you said you saw. Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay. If you want to take it to court, option five on the back of the ticket, that's how you take that ticket to court.
SPEAKER_02No, thank you.
SPEAKER_00Have a good day.
SPEAKER_07This happened in Lake Worth where a deputy sheriff pulled over a lady. They were doing like these, you know how they do these little operations where people are speeding or DUI. Yes. So they did an operation in Lake Worth where the deputy pulled this lady over and said, Hey, you had a cell phone in your right hand, and then you had your other left hand on the steering wheel. And when he pulled over the lady, she's like, No, I didn't have a cell phone in my right hand. When she lifted up her hand, she had no hand. So it was a nub. And every news organization picked this up. You saw that? So the problem is the deputy would not back down. Even though she lifted her hand up, Bobby, there was no hand, there was a nub. And she was like, Do you want to take this away now? He's like, No, I saw you lifted your right hand and you had a phone in it. And then he refused to back down. He gave her the ticket, and this thing went super viral, and she ended up going to court and he dismissed the ticket. Of course. But uh I was just curious on, you know, what would you guys do in a situation like that? Did he handle it properly?
SPEAKER_04The sheriff?
SPEAKER_07Or the deputy sheriff? Or the deputy sheriff. I mean, she was very professional. She's like, Hey, are you sure you want to? And it and he proceeded to, you know, make it worse. He was like, Lift your right hand to God for telling the truth, and then she lifted up the nub. Wow. And then he was like, No, the other hand, and then she lifted up the yeah, it wow, um, it was interesting.
SPEAKER_04So you saw that clip, D? What you thought about it?
SPEAKER_08I thought the guy just wanted to pick a bone with the lady. Right. Um I mean, if you see you don't have no hand, how how first of all, you you're looking really stupid. And it was on camera. Um if the guy said I seen you with your right hand, what pick it up, and the lady was like, like Raymond said, you still want to go to this. Yeah, yeah. And they were like, Yeah, this, this, and that. And then on the other hand, I was like, Oh, like which hand do you want? Is it the left or the right? Make up your mind. Yeah, it was weird for me. It was very weird. I don't understand why uh he continued. He should have just said, Listen, I'm I'm sorry. I thought I seen you with a phone. Um my apologies. Uh, if you are using a phone, please don't use it. And boom, have a great day.
SPEAKER_04I think it's so hard for them to apologize in those situations.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, because they don't want to be wrong.
SPEAKER_04And that's the thing, is that they don't want to be wrong. Uh, because then then you start to question any people they've ever pulled over.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that's the thing. It's like just take the L and move on. Yeah. It's the fact that, like Dee H also said, like, you know, she's like, Are you sure you want to go through it? Yeah. Yeah, no, I saw you with the cell phone in your right hand. She has no hand. It's like, it's okay to like, hey, I thought I saw something, but to go forward and issue a citation, it just was a little bit overboard. A little bit, yeah. So but you know, it was dismissed.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean, and that that's what the justice system is made for. Uh ideally, to you know, um uh uh address things that may be obvious when a cr when something is being committed. But my thing here is is like um why did it have to get that big?
SPEAKER_08I'll put it on Discord for you guys.
SPEAKER_04Appreciate you, player. Uh like the the mindset is is like, yo, um it didn't even like the they have what is that that camera that they put in front of the officers? The body cam. The body cam, like they have body cam footage of it. Like it's all there. There's nothing wrong with him saying, like, hey, um, I made a mistake. I I thought I thought it looked like you were carrying something.
SPEAKER_07Um but But here's the deal it went all the way to the courts where she had to pay it. It's not until she requested the body cam, because Florida has a very broad public records request. It's not until she requested it and she dropped it on the internet, it went viral. And then that's what that's what you know caused this. But when she got to court, it was already dismissed. But it's not until she requested the video. Yeah, yeah. And then she dropped it on the internet to show, and then that's why all this thing went. It should have never got to that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it should have never. Well, I mean, I I don't know. I mean, my my question is is what are the officers doing to confirm that the person is actually doing that type of offense? Just because they see you. Um, I always had the same thing about, don't you know, on the turnpike, not turnpike, but on highway when they have the HOV lane, yeah, and then all of a sudden they catch one person driving, and I'm like, yo, how hard are they staring into the car to catch the person? Um, obviously they they probably get entrained on you know those type of things, but um think about catching a person in the HOV lane. Now you're catching a person driving with their left hand and their hands down here, you know, uh on a phone. Like, how how is that like how and what I'm really asking is how do you consistently catch those people? Like people drive fast, they're speeding, you can catch them. You're clocking how fast they are. People driving without a second person in the car, you know, somebody standing there staring, watching every single car. And then, but this one is like, um, unless somebody's literally like maybe standing in the middle of the road. I I don't know. I don't know how you can can consistently call that.
SPEAKER_07You guys ever get into it with the cops when you get pulled over anything?
SPEAKER_04Nah, bro. Two hands on a steering
Tint Ticket Story And How To Handle It
SPEAKER_04wheel, shut the fuck up and let's move.
SPEAKER_07I got uh I got pulled over last week.
SPEAKER_04You got pulled over last week?
SPEAKER_07In my community. Were you wearing that shirt? Uh no, I was not. They probably wouldn't let me go if I was wearing that shirt. So coming inside my community, they stopped. This is last week. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Yes, you gotta pass the gate. No, before I got to the as soon as I came in. Okay. As soon as I came in, you make as soon as you made the right. As soon as I made the right, coming in, they uh pulled me right over. Where was the cop at? The cop was on jog right there.
SPEAKER_08Well, he was just uh they were pulling a bunch of people over. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07So they were on the side, you know, like the turn you come into my community, they were blocking it. So what I did is I went around them very nicely, very professionally. I put my signal out, and then as soon as I turned around them, as soon as I got into my community, the guy stopped me. I was like, okay. I mean, I didn't like cut you off or nothing. I did it very professionally, very slow. Put my signal on, hey officer, you said that? Yep, how you doing, officer? Uh registration. Why I pulled you over is for your tents. I was like, What? What? Yeah. So on the Tesla out there, he said my tents are illegal. I didn't argue with it. He was like, I can test it if you want. I was like, it's okay. They gave me a ticket for my tents.
SPEAKER_04Why didn't you dispute it, bro?
SPEAKER_07What is a dispute? So you this is kind of why I wanted to bring this.
SPEAKER_04Do you dispute you? I normally don't say nothing, but I'm just asking you. Like, why didn't you?
SPEAKER_07Have you guys done anything like that before anything? That car, I've had that car for almost three years. I don't think that's the first time.
SPEAKER_04I don't think I would probably say anything. I'll just try to push it, keep it moving. Um, take it to the court or send somebody to go deal with it.
SPEAKER_07What is there to take the court? Like I'd have to take it off.
SPEAKER_04I mean, you gonna take your tents off? No.
SPEAKER_07I'm paying the ticket exactly. What would you do?
SPEAKER_04Darman looks a little confused.
SPEAKER_08I'm I'm a little baffled here. Why? Very baffled. So you're telling me your t your tents is way too dark?
SPEAKER_07Uh that's what they said. They said they are illegal.
SPEAKER_04Your tents are dark. I'm not gonna front.
SPEAKER_07Are they? Really?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they are.
SPEAKER_07Okay. I don't want to say where I work at. I think they're blacked out. I don't want to say where I work at. Don't worry about it. But I've never been stopped. I drive around certain people who are in car for I don't want to say, but this was West Palm Beach PD that pulled me over.
SPEAKER_08You don't think his tents are dark, dark? I I to tell you the truth, I seen it, but I didn't say, hey, your tents are too dark. Yeah, they're not like I personally will fight it. Really? I would say that's it.
SPEAKER_07In order to fight it, Darwin, you have to remove your tents, and that's gonna cost more money. You don't have to remove the tents. That's what you're saying.
SPEAKER_08So if you're gonna fight something, you don't have to remove the tents.
SPEAKER_07That's what he said.
SPEAKER_08That's what he told you?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, he was like, if you remove the tent.
SPEAKER_08Did he tell you to jump off the bridge, you're gonna jump off too?
SPEAKER_07No, but how do you fight a tent ticket?
SPEAKER_08Easy. Uh well, listen, sir, I bought the car. This is the way the car came. Facts. All right. Um, right. It's not it, it's not illegal. I'm definitely will not buy something that will put myself into this situation. Uh so if you think it is illegal, please let me know what percentage it is.
SPEAKER_07Now, was I wrong to ask him not to test it right there?
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_07I just took the ticket and kept it. Because you didn't want to deal with it. Exactly. Exactly. But if I go fight it, aren't they gonna test it? No.
SPEAKER_08Well, yes. They're gonna right there you make the decision. So put it this way You're gonna lose money taking the tints off, and then you're gonna lose more money to put the tents back on. Yes. So, and then you're gonna lose money for fighting for not fighting until paying the ticket. So you're coming out three, three ways of money. Let me quote, let me hold a couple hundred, bro. You're gonna be here wasting money.
SPEAKER_07Exactly why I am not gonna fight it. I'm gonna pay the ticket. You're just gonna pay the ticket and keep it moving.
SPEAKER_04But but I will say your your initial question about getting pulled over if you're gonna say anything. Yes. Uh, is uh normally you're getting pulled over for a traffic violation. Uh I don't know if you you should like like how does he they they pulling you over because you're tent. Can they pull you over? Like if the car's like a cop behind you, they're driving behind you, and they disrespect your your your tents are dark, they can pull you over.
SPEAKER_08Yes. So here's standard procedure with tents in case anybody doesn't know. All right. What happens is with this tent uh situation is if if you have tinted windows and you're the cop is able to see through your window, even though it's tinted, your tents are great. If you're not if he's not able to see you from your back window, for them is too completely dark. Even if you put tents in the front, you're not supposed to put cover the tent the whole entire car in the front of a tent. That's why a lot of people put just the top layer on there rather than continue with with it on there. For example, there's a lot of people like my daughter. I had my daughter had tents a separate tent on the front, and then the back a little bit more darker. But as long as you can see her in the front, your tents are completely fine. So, for example, let's say you buy your car at a dealership and the car comes already tinted, and you get stopped by a cop saying your car is completely dark, are you gonna still pay that ticket? Or are you just gonna say, Listen, this is the way I bought the car from the dealership? You gotta get a lot of people. Some people think they care. No, they don't care. At the end of the day, they're trying to get the they're they're trying to meet their quota at the end of the day. Right. Facts.
SPEAKER_04But but I'm I'm still kind of like uh taken back that that's the reason why they pulled you over. Unless, unless you when you were driving towards them, they couldn't see you, or when you went around them, that's when they thought it was too dark.
SPEAKER_07How did they see it that quickly? All I did was very nicely just turn, and then he was like, I was like, damn, well, he's upset because I turned in front of him?
SPEAKER_08Because they were on the side there, but or you can do it next time you see a cop, just lower all your windows down and keep going.
SPEAKER_07That's exactly what I'm doing now with the car. Whenever I see them, I just roll the windows down now, which is crazy.
SPEAKER_08So, are you gonna pay the ticket and remove your tents, or are you just gonna pay the ticket and then leave it alone? I'm just paying the ticket and leave it alone. That sounds like a plan to me. Yeah, I like that. That's the first smart thing you said today.
SPEAKER_07There's no way I'm picking those off. No, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I I I I still don't find it as a reason and an offense to pull somebody over, especially when they have that type of sting going on. I'm really wondering what they're catching on that corner.
SPEAKER_07Well, they were pulling a bunch of people over.
SPEAKER_04For what?
SPEAKER_07For like speeding, because you know, going down jog there, everybody just okay.
SPEAKER_04I I'll give them that. That that definitely. But but I didn't but that turn right there. The turn in there, yeah. I mean, they usually catch you further down, right?
SPEAKER_08But somehow I would have gone in my neighborhood and he wasn't gonna follow you because he wasn't able to get in.
SPEAKER_07Well, you would have pulled into the gate and tried to get in there, but I stopped before I could get to the gate. Like, you know, like I don't know. Yeah, bro. I was like trying to dodge cool trying to haul ass, man. I was like, oh man, that's funny. That's funny. And you know what he said too after he would when he gave me a ticket, he was like, do better.
SPEAKER_04He told you to do better, yeah. What does that mean?
SPEAKER_07It's do better because I got illegal tent, apparently.
SPEAKER_04Do better.
SPEAKER_07That's what he said. He was like, have a nice day, do better. I would have said you too. Yeah, I was just like, thank you. How much was the ticket though? I didn't even look at it. It's been two weeks, I've not even looked at it yet, bro. I'm just ignoring it.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I mean, don't you got like a get out of jail card free?
SPEAKER_07That is uh for a different organization. This was West Palm Beach PD.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. Uh-huh. So hey, that's not the same.
SPEAKER_06No, it's not.
SPEAKER_04Well, all I will say is uh make sure you get that squared away. Yeah. Um, also, you need to find out what your tent level is. Like you he' not asking him to go put it on a thing because then that's uh uh admissible in court.
SPEAKER_07So basically, I need to have them test it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, go up to a copy like, hey man, I just out of curiosity, I had a guy that told me my tents was too dark. I I just want to get a second opinion. Just like that. I just would like to get a second opinion and we'd like to hear your thoughts on the situation. Oh no, your tents are terribly fine. Right there, that tells me I'm going to find the fight. He was on some BS. I'm going to fight this shit. Yeah. But that's just me. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I mean, you got buddies, bro.
SPEAKER_08So right.
SPEAKER_04All right, Raymond. Well, look at us saving the day. Give Raymond his little uh sound. Raymond saved the day uh with with his uh uh non-umorking laptop, um, but able to drop some really good uh insights uh for Raymond's nuggets. Uh sometimes you just gotta sit in the car, be quiet, take the ticket, and keep moving forward. Um, or like D. Hustle said, weigh your options. Um but me, I'm not talking back to no cop. I'm not I'm not dealing with that. They're too trigger, trigger happy for me. Um but but as always, I do appreciate both of y'all. All right, uh, before we jump into our next section here, I want us to get a quick ad read. So check out

Let's start with NHL. NHL playoffs is going on right now. Avalanche lost to the Knights. Actually, the Knights swept the Avalanche. So they're doing phenomenal. And in the east side, we have the beautiful hurricanes. Hurricanes took care of the Canadians, and we have the Las Vegas Knights versus the Hurricanes. Uh, game one will be today. Today, today, eight o'clock. Uh, make sure you're there. I ain't going for Las Vegas Knights. Uh, so let's see who's your favorite team. Let me know what they're doing. My other team is in Cancun, uh, sitting on the margarita. Already. Uh, so we'll see what happened. Boxing, boxing's going on, ladies and gentlemen. Let me know who's your favorite boxer. Boxing Dimitri Bowl still reclaims the top spot of the lightweight. Wait about uh other people. Joshua is trying to figure out what he's gonna do after a fatal car crash that he had. So hopefully he has a speedy recovery. And uh um, other than that, that it's all I have for boxing. Formula uh, formula uh right now figuring out what's going on with formula one. Rashadie's still taking the lead. Feravi's right under and McLaren number two. So we're trying to figure out what's going on in the situation here, and we go from there. Uh next we have WWE. WWE is on right now. Clash, uh Clash in Italy is going on. Uh hopefully everybody gets to see that. Hopefully, everybody's having a phenomenal time seeing what's going on. Let me know who's your WWE. Uh tennis. Tennis is next, ladies and gentlemen. Serena is making a comeback. Comeback tennis. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Um, I hopefully she still got it. Hopefully, she's been practicing on the offseason. She's 44 years old. I was just about to look up a comeback, um, nearly a four-year absence. Wow, she was born in 81. If she does come back and wins a chip, we have a lot to say about her um as far as greatness. Uh, which she already is there. Um, I think she's uh way better than uh she got more chip than LeBron.
SPEAKER_04Comeback is official.
SPEAKER_08Woo! More chips than LeBron. You said it, I said it before. I said it. Let me know who's your favorite tennis player. Uh let me know so I can go ahead and give the Serena Williams.
SPEAKER_04Serena Williams. She's back at it.
SPEAKER_08Uh, special bad thing for Coco has been knocked out. Uh so I do apologize about that. I know you're going for Coco. Coco has just been uh so she's gonna start drinking some coconut water, so hopefully you'll figure out.
SPEAKER_04Go on vacation early. That's all right.
SPEAKER_08Golf. Golf is going on, ladies and gentlemen. A lot of stuff going on in golf. Let me know who's your favorite team so I can go ahead and show them some love.
SPEAKER_04How's my guy Tiger doing?
SPEAKER_08Tiger's doing good, man. Right now, he is uh a month and a half with no uh liquor. He is feeling good. That's what's good. Looking good and looking good. I'm happy for him. Soccer's going on, ladies and gentlemen. Let me know who's your favorite soccer team, and a lot, a lot of games going on. World Cup is coming up soon. So we can figure out what is going on. NFL, ladies and gentlemen. NFL is going on a lot, a lot of movement. AJ Brown went to the Pats. Um I don't know how I felt about that, but I figured out what's going on over there. Uh, and then you have my man Miles Garrett who went to from the Browns to the Rams, uh, showing him a lot, a lot of love. Uh so hopefully the you know they did a good stuff over there. Um and then I I I don't know. Oops.
SPEAKER_01This is for OBJ.
SPEAKER_08OBJ decided to sign a contract back with the Giants. Back with the Giants? I don't know how I feel about that. The only reason we left hopefully is not the same reason he's coming back. Um so we're trying to figure out what's going on over there. You think he still got it though? Uh you know what, it's kind of hard to say, but I'm gonna say no. Um, but uh again, maybe the easy years I haven't seen a lot of ball have been passed to him. Yeah. Um I just know that um, you know, Cleveland didn't pass him too much of the ball. Um what was the other team he was in? Rams, he got a chip. Uh didn't play, didn't get passing the ball much either. Um who was the other Dolphins was there, they didn't get passed to the ball much either. Um what other team he was in? It was so many teams. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I I know the city's gonna love him though.
SPEAKER_08Uh yeah, I mean if it's the same old Dell Beckham that he when he first started, yeah.
SPEAKER_04But when he first started, when he did that behind the arm great catch.
SPEAKER_08When he first started out of the I don't know where he this guy is anymore. Yeah. Um other than that, let me know if you have any comments, questions, concerns about a team that you think uh what's gonna happen here. Oh, there goes Eagle at the door. How dolphins went from flashy to non-frizz in just three months. I don't know what they mean about that, but it seems like they're not looking good over there in the offseason. Dolphins are rebuilding. Dolphins are rebuilding.
SPEAKER_04Isn't that our default answer now?
SPEAKER_08Well, you have uh Russell um Russell Wilson. Yeah, I mean, if you need him, you can have him. He retired. Uh yeah, we don't need him. That's right.
SPEAKER_07He retired. He uh just announced that he retired. He's gonna be on TV now.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, he's gonna be a uh a sports caster. Is he? Yeah, he's jumping right into it already? Jumping right into it, but uh, I mean the Dolphins need a quarterback, so I would recommend you. Oh, look at this guy.
SPEAKER_04He he's playing sympathy here.
SPEAKER_07He got a quarterback from Green Bay.
SPEAKER_04Uh well I mean is Brett Favre? No.
SPEAKER_07Oh, I mean they're rebuilding, okay?
SPEAKER_05It's a transition.
SPEAKER_04If it was Brett Favre or or uh what's the other guy that was at Green Bay? Um Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers, if it was the one of them two.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, which is last year. Uh Aaron Rodgers is gonna be his last year playing this year. Yeah, yeah. Uh, so he is giving it up. So it seems like a lot of people are watching more football for the Steelers than anybody else.
SPEAKER_07Quick question for D. Hulse. This is football related. So what is your take? I saw this buzzing on the internet. What is your thoughts on your Jackson Dart, your quarterback, introducing the president? I saw that kind of split up a little bit. Um introducing yes, like he uh was at some convention center he introduced the president. Yeah, it was one of those uh MAGA crowd things. I saw he went on the internet and was like, is this AI? We're not doing this. This is not real.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, um, I I've seen that. Um I'm not too sure my teammates are not happy about it. Uh, but you know, we can't control whatever he does, you know.
SPEAKER_04I like how he said my teammates. Like he's on the squad too. I call corporate. He's like, that's a corporate issue. That we'll we'll deal with that in the locker room if there is anything to deal with.
SPEAKER_08We'll try to figure it out. Uh I don't know. I don't know. I don't know how I feel about it, but it is whatever he does on his spare times. That's what he does in his spare time. Absolutely. And it is, but listen, if you guys want to watch the Giants and the Dolphins August 22nd, let us know. Preseason game. Uh it's nothing crazy, but if you want to see a good team play, that'll be the day that you have to watch the sports. Uh, other than that, Major League Baseball, ladies and gentlemen, let us know who's your favorite team right now. Tampa Bay is taking care of business and New York number two. And then Central Cleveland is our number one, Chicago number two, and then Seattle number one, Texas number two. Let's go to the National League. Atlanta still balling. God damn, that team is going way, way, way high up. And then uh again, we just can't seem to hold it. Yesterday we were in second to last. Now we're in last place. Shout out to the Mets for doing a phenomenal job over there trying to figure out what the fuck is going on in the world. But at the end of the day, we went from a four-game winning streak to losing the last game to the Marlins, and our Marlins are in top. Milwaukee Blues number one, St. Louis number two, and then Dodgers handling business are taking the lead. I mean, extremely six-game over San Diego. So there's no way San Diego's gonna catch up unless the Dodgers are decide to lose several games. And last but not least, ladies and gentlemen, let's get down to real deal holy field basketball. As you can see, let's go to the west side. The Thunders couldn't handle it. The Spurs, uh, I guess they got electrocuted, and for some odd reason, uh they lost the series 4-3. So shout out to SGA for uh two MVP back to the back, but a fortune and he can't bring the chip, so he's gonna have to figure it out next year. Uh Wemby is uh two-tour for New York, so it's David versus Goliath. It's the Knicks versus the Spurs. This is what I've been waiting for. Yeah, this is the repeat of 1999 finals where the fucking Patrick Ewan fucked up that beautiful finger row, and then John started shooting two for fucking 18 back in the fucking days. Damn it. Oh my gosh. If you guys are not fucking following the sports situation, you let me know right now because this skin's gonna game tomorrow. Game one eight o'clock.
