Uh how how do you know and and be alerted like when when it gets stuck or something like that? Yeah. Um so I'm I'm worried about all of those things. Because when I was out in Vegas for CES, there was 1,000% a few of these, like maybe like a hundred different types of vendors that were um offering these type of uh roadie uh like grass equipment. Um some of them even had, don't you know, the big, big lawnmowers, just like that, like the one that the the the long guy you know holds and twists it, they had that big size being autonomous. So uh it's coming, but I don't know if I'm ready for it. I don't know. My long guy does a great job. Shout out to Willie. Shout out to Willie for sure. So you're not gonna cop it, D? You know, imagine you buy the PlayStation with the disc version, and you're waiting for the most anticipated game in the history to come out that's taken what 12, 13 years, or they're not coming out with a disc version of it. Like, there's like a thing for physical media, people want to own stuff, you know what I'm saying? Like, there's a thing with the records, people are buying records now. There's like my neighbor, he buys DVDs and he sells them on. Facebook market. He's flipping DPD. I mean, people still want physical media. Wow. So my son, we got the the disc version of PlayStation. And then when you buy a game, perfect example. When I when I bought the Call of Duty, you know, of course it had a download and it tells me I don't have enough memory. So you know what I had to do? Now I have to go into there and figure out what game I want to delete in order for me to download the rest of the game. And that's basically has been like that for like the past couple years. Yeah, that's that's been their hustle, right? Yeah, that's been a hustle. And the sucky part about it is now that you delete the game and you want to play the game again, everything that you have done and passed and downloaded and secrets and all that, you're gonna have to redo that all over again.

Um as you go to the digital world, there is no limit. It's like, hey, um you can start downloading this at X time, and then all you gotta do is just make sure that you stagger the downloading ability for everybody, but you're gonna sell more copies than you can ever imagine on a digital versus a physical.

So if you play PlayStation for a long period of time, you have two options either you go to the store and buy the game, or you download it on the PlayStation. Right or wrong. Only the people who buys the game are able to go and get your beautiful two fucking cents from GameStop and try, and then you see them later selling it for like $24.99. That's a hustle right there. And shit. You know, because I complain about a consistent basis. I, you know, I'm like, damn, man, you can only give me like two dollars for this game, but then you want to charge me $24.99 to buy this game.

GTA RP Servers And Getting Paid

I got some uh follow-ups to all two of our members here talking about uh GTA 6. Um, one of the things that we were talking about with the rookies, big shout outs to the rookie squad. Um, is we were talking about GTA, we were talking about what uh uh Raymond uh was talking about in terms of the digital world, virtual world, or digital versus uh physical uh media. And one of the things that I brought up with the with the interns is this concept that um I know they're familiar with, and definitely if you are in the gaming world, this ain't gonna be new to you, is this building your own gaming server or your own server, like a uh what do they call it? A Roblox or um what's that other game that they like to play? Uh Minecraft, like you have your own Minecraft server in the sense that you have a place where you by yourself or people that you invite are in your world or in your space. And you can kind of use the word server to kind of use it as like, hey, this is my community or this is my squad of people coming, you know, to play with me at the same time. Um, but there is this concept that's coming out, um, and it hasn't been officially mentioned by the um creators of uh Game of Thrones, I mean Game of Thrones of GTA 6, GTA 6. Who who's the game um the inventors? Rockstar. Rockstar, yeah. So it hasn't officially been mentioned by Rockstar yet, but they are positioning themselves so that people can host their own GTA 6 servers, and then people can come onto that server to either play uh as their character or play like some of uh the you know how they have um what are they called um NPCs in the game, and then you actually play as a character as an NPC character. And one of the streamers themselves was like, hey, um I'm gonna pay somebody a thousand dollars a day just to be on my server. Um and if you want to come and join, because you're gonna be on my Twitch stream and they're gonna be making money at the same time and you kind of get paid with it. Uh so my thoughts are first off is what do y'all thought about that? If uh if you would, you know, uh in your gaming mind sign up to be a janitor per se in a video game and get paid a thousand dollars just to be in a video game, but then you're a part of the streaming group. Would that be something that you would consider?

And the cool thing about it is is that this streamer already is making bread off of his streaming. So it's like, hey, if you want to be a part of my server, I'm gonna pay you because you're gonna find your way mentioned on my cheat tweet stream or twitch stream, and then you kind of get paid it the same way. Okay, you know what I'm saying?

It's almost like uh Plex. Yeah, yeah, okay. Right? Yeah, you gave me some uh link to Plex. Uh, my brother got us the link to Plex. Do we actually really know where we just know that we're all on the same server connected to the same thing? You need the link to I need the link. But that's that's gonna be the play, right? Is that the kids are gonna start to link to each other's servers, and then basically if I come to a server, I might be able to make some money off of it because how are they making money though?

This concept is I I'm the main person streaming, but I have other people that are on my server also streaming, and as we all all bringing in, we're all collecting money together, type stuff. So let's say that I'm on the stream and I have a thousand followers and they all thousand gets in. Whatever the payment out is in Twitch, I don't really know what the structure is, pays me out, but Darwin's also connected to my server and he has a hundred people watching him. You get what I'm saying? Now, because we have a hundred and ten or uh a thousand and a hundred people, so eleven hundred people, now we have a bigger bucket of amount of money coming, and I can pay Darwin off because he actually bring in some. You say, Hey, you want to come and join my server? All right, you come and join your server, get on Twitch and also log into my server. And as you're getting more watchers, you're getting more watchers, we're all getting watchers together. That's how we're all gonna make money together.

So the last thing I'm gonna mention about this is um the reason why this kind of fell into the tech insight section of our podcast is um there is a certain level of skills that you need to develop uh to be able to host your own Twitch server. And what I did is is I actually asked chat, like if you're not using ChatGPT, I want to encourage you to use it every day, is like, what are some of the most sought-after skills that you should develop that are in the tech scene that applies to this new gaming server concept? And what it broke down to me are the normal skills that you're mostly looking for is understanding networking. Um, basically your PlayStation or your Xbox is you throwing shade at Xbox for uh simple question. That's all that's crazy. They still selling them. Uh, but if you notice that, don't you know when it has the pings, it says how fast the the traffic is or how what the milliseconds is, that's that's networking. That's like how fast do my commute computer talks with that computer, or my PlayStation talks with his PlayStation, right? Is latency. Um it also talks about a skill around scripting. So how do you write scripts to make you know things be automated? Um it says databases, like understanding like um let's say, for instance, that I want Edgie Hustle and Raymond to join my my um server, how do I add accounts for them, or how do I create a password inside of a database? database and then the last thing that is said which was actually kind of a little bit um I wasn't expecting it is uh knowing how to use Discord not just how to log into Discord but knowing how to moderate on Discord and learning how to use some of the features because a lot of these gamers use discord for where they chatting up and stuff like that. So it's networking, scripting, databases and discord is kind of some of the skills that you need to initially develop uh to create your own server. I'm I'm thinking that this is going to be an avenue where people can make some bread too. Especially if I'm a a gamer and I have a a decent following is why not create my own server so then I can, you know, make even more money and be more restrictive. But I do want to encourage you if you are interested in these skills comment below. I will send you some links around some of these skills that we actually have some open source content out there around especially when it comes to networking scripting um community uh not too much but definitely if you are looking for those Linux type skills we definitely have some training material and some free resources to you for you to use um but yeah I want everybody to start getting ready for GTA 6 because there's there's going to be plenty of avenues for people to make money. And there is a quote that um I want to read real quick it said uh hold on one second man I just lost it. It says the next billion dollar gaming company may not be building a game from scratch. They might be building the best city inside someone else's game. And if GTA 6 opens the door for kids who know Discord, knows how to script knows how to stream can use AI knows how to manage a community might be the next generation of infrastructure founders that can create a billion dollar company so just know that GTA 6 has so much hype around it but there looks like there's going to be multiple avenues for people not just to be consumers of this product but actually be builders and make some bread off of it.
