0098: AI Tokens And The Real Cost Of Chatting
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A $3 parking fee from an HOA turns into a bigger question: how many “small charges” are we quietly accepting just to live, visit family, and enjoy the tools we love? We start with Fourth of July stories, then snap right into tech and culture with the same theme running underneath: convenience keeps improving, but the bill is always waiting somewhere.
We talk about the hidden Google Earth flight simulator you can launch in your browser, and why casual tools like this still matter in a world obsessed with expensive gear. Then we get into gaming’s direction shift with PlayStation moving toward an all digital future and what that means for collectors, resale, offline play, and the uneasy feeling that you do not truly own what you buy anymore. If you have ever argued about what to watch, we also share RealGood.com, a streaming search utility that filters across Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video and more to cut through choice overload.
The deep dive is AI tokens. We explain tokens in plain English, why AI models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini “think” in tokens, and how token pricing is already shaping what companies allow employees to do. We also connect the dots on where generative AI monetisation is headed: rising subscriptions, pay per token, and a future where getting “information” feels like filling up a tank before you can even ask the next question.

Fourth Of July Banter And HOA Fees
SPEAKER_04Google Earth Open is secret flight simulator for all users around the world.
SPEAKER_03What? Yes, sir. The polygamist. I gotta say I'm very entertained. Yes.
SPEAKER_04I am a LeBron hater. And I realize that everything that LeBron does, every time a credit goes, it goes to him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's me, me, me, me. When he loses, he points the finger to everybody.
SPEAKER_00Welcome, welcome, welcome.
SPEAKER_04What up, D Hustle? What's going on, ladies and gentlemen?
SPEAKER_01Turn your mic up a little bit, player. There you go. Turn up my snare. Turn up your snare. What's going on, player? What's going on? Chilling, my guy. Just getting out of a fourth over here in South Florida. Happy fourth. It's a little warm out here. Yes, it is. Heat wave, heat wave. And some crazy storms. Yes. I'm grateful there's no hurricanes on the horizon. Yet. Let me knock on wood. Get that going.
SPEAKER_04I need I want to see one.
SPEAKER_01Uh huh. You do?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, see one. I want to see what my impact windows doing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you see, he put money up and he's trying to see if he got what he paid for.
SPEAKER_04I want to see. I mean, sure. Why not, right? Imagine having impact windows, you don't get one hurricane. That's crazy to me.
SPEAKER_01Right. What up, Raven? Don't call him Ray Ray. What's up? What's going on, player? It's chilling, man.
SPEAKER_03How you guys doing?
SPEAKER_01Ah, you know us, man. We over here chilling, enjoying that. We get to hang out for a little bit. Sure. Chat about tech and all the good stuff. How was your fourth, man?
SPEAKER_03Uh, it was good. Like I told you guys, I went to a cookout, you know, outside at a other part of the cookout. And I will leave out of this. Out of what? Out of the public airwaves.
SPEAKER_01What are you leaving out of the public airways?
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna leave out the part that I didn't like. But other than that, it was good company, good food. So yeah. Okay, yeah. Please show us because I mean how you kind of start off saying. Shout out to Alexa, the host who uh hosted us. She watches the podcast. Oh, she does. Alexa, I don't even know what's going on. Let us know about Alexa. I mean what's going on? Alexa was a great host.
SPEAKER_04She uh I like it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. They had hot dogs, hamburgers, hot dogs. Had something I never had before, which is gonna sound I don't know if you guys had it. It might sound weird, but uh seafood rice. Uh-huh. Seafood rice? Seafood rice. Like uh a jambalaya? It's not uh it wasn't a jambalaya. What type of seafood though? It was shrimp and I don't know if it had some other stuff in it, but it was probably like the best rice I've ever had. What? Yeah, it was amazing. So shout out to Alexis for making that delicious seafood rice.
SPEAKER_04Seafood rice. Is it like where you go on a garan? You you get that um what? Because that that I get that a lot. What's that? So it was a seafood rice there that comes with uh shrimp, you comes with like um clams, uh it comes with uh um it's it's very expensive. Yeah, uh, but it's really, really good. They give you big humongous portions. Yeah, I bet you they only make it for a bigger portion. La Garanja is cool. La Graha? Oh, okay. I gotta try that there. I'm gonna check it out. Yeah, it was amazing. Other than that, everything was good at the parking lot. Yes, yes, it was. Yes.
SPEAKER_01It was really good at parking, you said? Finding a parking spot?
SPEAKER_03That was the parking. I had no issues. I found a spot right in front of the uh right in front of her house. So it was all good.
SPEAKER_01So so Raven had a great experience. We'll just we'll just mention that. Uh, but also um, it's the first time to have um uh a situation where uh the HOA is making bread off of visitors, so that's pretty much it.
SPEAKER_03Shout out to Alexa. Great event.
SPEAKER_04Thank you for the seafood rights. Shout out to Alexa, I would like to try that seafood rice, but I'm gonna say it for him since he can say it over here. A man went to a party at a at a family, and HOA is trying to be very, very grimy and charge money uh for parking, even though they know that uh people try to spend time with their families. On 4th of July. Uh they charge the man three dollars uh for parking.
SPEAKER_01I mean it's not the homeowner's problem. I mean, issue. I mean it's the HOA that costs it.
SPEAKER_04But H2A should have no fucking or responsibility to fucking to charge somebody that. Uh first of all, number one, HOA is already charging the neighborhood, yeah, the owner, yep, a fee. Uh for you to charge an additional fee for something is really upset. I I will I will call I I will call somebody, bro.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Uh first of all, uh I wouldn't get your money. I'll I'll get my money back. That's just me.
SPEAKER_01Well, we we know how you will go chase down it. Uh but but I think I think you also would have a lesson that you would teach in the process. So uh the HOA is fine.
SPEAKER_04I'm curious, Thanksgiving and Christmas, are we gonna charge uh money just to spend time with my family? I mean, like if that's the case, I ain't doing shit in my house. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I would take that stand too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was uh interesting experience. Yeah, yeah. But anyway, other than that, we had a good time. Yeah, it's a good time.
SPEAKER_01All right, give me what's her name again?
SPEAKER_04Alexa. Alexa, big round of applause. And it's not all the 21 Alexa's that he has in his house. Not those.
SPEAKER_01Because he said that at first, and I'm like, all right, which one is he talking about? All
Show Format And Episode Roadmap
SPEAKER_01right, Raymond. Uh, if y'all didn't know, this is the Tech Hustle Podcast. We are at episode number 98, fellas. Can y'all believe that? We are on our trek to 100 100 episodes. So we're gonna have D Hustle drop some insights around tech current events, and then we're gonna have my guy Raymond's Nuggets. He's gonna have uh two uh nuggets that he's gonna be dropping. Um, I'm gonna drop some insights on some tech um and and I think Raymond actually brought this on the table asking what are AI tokens. So I'm gonna give you some insights around that. Um, and then we're gonna have my guy D Hustle come back around uh with what is this section called? The the Tech Hustle Sports Center section. Yeah, you already know. So uh my guy's gonna drop some sports um news um and then we'll close out with an outro, uh, some local sponsorship, and that should be the show, fellas. What do y'all think?
SPEAKER_04All right, sounds good to me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no problems. All right then. So we're gonna go ahead and kick it off first with my guy D Hustle. Uh, let me see if how's the DJ DJ twist is going on. There we go. There we go. What up, D? What's going on, player?
SPEAKER_04Good morning, good evening, good afternoon. Hope everybody's having a phenomenal Tuesday. Hope everybody enjoys their lovelies 4th of July with their family and friends and not getting charged to make uh a visit.
SPEAKER_01He's not trying to mention who they are. We're gonna call them out on this.
SPEAKER_04I want the HOA's information because I want to speak to tell uh Alexa that I need the HOA's so I can go ahead and complain. And if I get money back, it's for me. I'm not giving nothing to you guys because nobody's calling. You can take a cup off of me.
SPEAKER_01You said you're gonna take it all?
SPEAKER_04I'm taking it all because if Alexa's not gonna complain, Raymond is not gonna complain. I've got to if I'm doing all the heavy lifting, yeah, he's gonna or am I gonna go ahead and spread love? But you know what? If Alexa makes me some of that advice, I'm more than trivial.
SPEAKER_01He's just trying to get an invite. Yeah, he's trying to get that secret price.
SPEAKER_04Right, right. What's up, player? All right, ladies
Google Earth Hidden Flight Simulator
SPEAKER_04and gentlemen. Uh, so just to give you guys heads up, uh, for Google, Google is stepping up their game right now. I do apologize about that. Uh, they Google just uh Google Earth open is secret flight simulator for all users around the world. What? Yes, sir. So um give me a moment here because I just lost it here on my phone. So basically, what you're gonna do is you're gonna try to open Google Earth Earth.google.com on the computer, click on Explore Earth, enter the tools, and then launch the flight simulator. This uses the simply keyboard and mouse to control with the satellite imagery, 3D buildings, and terrain loading as you fly across the map. Wow, that's actually kind of cool. Google says this is uh a physics and simplify, so it's made for casual sightseeing, not professionally training, still the idea of flying over the place of the earth um from the browser makes it surprisingly fun for all users.
SPEAKER_01I I was thinking about the same thing. Do I get certified as a pilot if I go over here and uh fly into a stadium? I see they have like a photo of a stadium you can fly over. Yeah, that's cool. Uh but I I think this is actually really cool. What do you think, Raymond?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm looking at it now. It's pretty neat. Yeah, I remember when Google Earth first came out, it was like top of the line, right? Top of the line. Now, this is this is pretty neat. Yeah, I'm sure it's gonna be up there once you start playing with it and taking a look at it.
SPEAKER_04Uh this is for fun overseeing sites for all you cycles and freaks out there, it's not for you to freaking uh look and see if your wife or husband is cheating on you, your girlfriend or boyfriend. I mean So let's get that out the way in advance. This is for you to uh to visualize and see the earth. Um you guys are able to do that.
SPEAKER_01I think it's a really cool thing. I think there's things and places on the planet that we uh, especially if you're not a traveler, that you would want to go and why not fly over, you know, uh uh where's where's something like Tahiti or uh go over Bali or something like that, or some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, like and I've always wanted to go. I haven't been there yet, is like in Thailand or like Asia Pacific type beaches and stuff like that. I would definitely do that. Oh man, this is gonna be a good one. Now you say you gotta do it from the computer, you said from the computer, yeah. All right. Well, we got the link dropped inside of our Discord. If you didn't know, we always put our links in there. And if you want access, come to www.tetechhustle.com, click community, and we'll get you added to the Discord. Uh all right, D, what else you
PlayStation Goes All Digital By 2028
SPEAKER_01got on your list, player?
SPEAKER_04Last but not least, I'm just touching base for something that our lovely friend over here to my left hand side, Raymond Don't Call Me Ray. We talked about uh GTA. Uh as far as that PlayStation has announced on January 2028 there is no more disc.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_04So your answer to all your concerns and your dispute and disputes 2028 is official, no more disc, everything has to be downloaded for you guys. Wow. Uh so if you guys are doing game sharing, you're more than welcome to see how that works out. Not too sure for all you PlayStation guys there, uh, but no more discs.
SPEAKER_01I I think you called it D. It didn't even take a whole week for them to make the announcement. That's wow. What do you feel about that, Raymond? That's terrible. I hate it. It's like taking a callus off of him. Yeah, he's like cringing over there.
SPEAKER_03It's just greed. I don't like it.
SPEAKER_04I um I like it, but I feel bad for GameStop.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're they're out of business.
SPEAKER_03So what's gonna happen?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, in a few years they're out of business.
SPEAKER_03But like let's just say you have like a PC game or anything like that. You download that EXC, that file that sits on your hard drive. If my house or whatever, PlayStation burns down or whatever, I got that file forever. I got that disc forever. Yeah, like they like it's like they own it now. Like, you know what I'm saying? You don't really own nothing. You don't technically crap, man. I don't like it.
SPEAKER_01And and I and what I actually want to see, especially when my son gets his uh GTA um when it finally is released, is pre-ordered it? I I I think he may have pre-ordered. You know, he's summer interning now, so he got a few dollars. So he's one of our summer interns, so he he's looking at uh his paychecks and like Jordan already bought games already with his money. Yeah, he's our other intern. Big shout out to both of them. Um, but I want to see how uh it works when you disconnect the the network. Like disconnect Wi-Fi, and hey, I downloaded the game, I have everything. You disconnect the Wi-Fi, I don't have internet access, can I still play the game?
SPEAKER_03I'm very curious on that too. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yes and no, depending on the game. I know with when Jordan plays on the game, uh, he's always looking online to see if any of his friends are on. So if his friends is on, that's where the internet comes in. Correct, correct. Now there's times when we used to play, when I used to play with him, uh Rainbow Six with him, uh he don't go online at all, and it's only the game by itself. You know, so you can't go on, you can't join anybody else's team or can't do anything like that. It's just you and him call it a day, and it's a dumb deal. Nah, if you want this is where the PlayStation Plus comes in where you're able to log in and go with anybody else, yada yada yada, and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01So interesting. Ac actually, this this reminds me of I don't know if y'all had an era where y'all used to uh do like uh gaming parties where you bring your own everybody bring their PCs. You remember those times, right? Land parties. Yeah, what what'd you say?
SPEAKER_03Land parties.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, land parties. That's the word I was looking for. Land parties where we're all connected to the same network, so we're all playing with each other in that low latency land network. Um, is maybe that comes back around, Raymond.
SPEAKER_03Remember you used to share all your viruses and files and taking, you know, crazy movies from him and stuff. It was cool, man. For sure.
SPEAKER_01That was real fun back in the days. So you were sharing viruses, Raymond.
SPEAKER_03I mean I was getting viruses from other people we were connected to.
SPEAKER_01So, you know, that wasn't playing with it. It depends on what hat Raymond's wearing today. It might be a red or a white one, depends on Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That was the good old days. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, I guess uh Sony and PlayStation are setting a standard, so no more discs in 2028. It's great.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so uh all you guys, all your freaks and collectors, yeah. Please go ahead and buy whatever disc you want for your collector item. Uh, and hopefully you guys can make a big, nice, big chunk of change on whatever is it's gonna be throwback for sure.
SPEAKER_01Um, and hey, I mean, I heard people didn't you report in the last podcast that you got a neighbor that's selling DVDs? Like he goes and buys old DVDs?
SPEAKER_03He buys DVDs and he sells them like crazy on Facebook Marketplace. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I mean that that might be coming back around, bro. Or ramping up more, rather, sorry.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, people still want to buy physical media. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01All right, my guy D, that's all you got, player?
SPEAKER_03That's all I got.
SPEAKER_01All right. So next up we got my guy Raymond. Don't call him Ray Ray. What you got going on on Raymond Nuggets
Finding Movies With RealGood Filters
SPEAKER_01today, player?
SPEAKER_03Alright, so I got a nugget here for you guys. I know all of us, I've talked about something similar to this. This is just another one of these nuggets here. They got a bunch of them, and I know all of us here have multiple streaming apps and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I thought you said multiple streaming income, you know. I mean, like, let me know what streams you got, bro.
SPEAKER_03So I got this app here called realgood.com. So I'm gonna drop it in here. It's a utility. It's basically if you have Netflix, Hulu, Prime video, or whatever, and you're struggling. I know I do to like whip my girl. What are we gonna watch tonight? You pick a movie, I'm giving her the app, you go through Netflix, you go to Hulu, you're wasting so much time. This is just another one of those where it does all of the filtering for you. You bring it up, you could put like a calculator. Hey, I want a movie, I want a horror. I want it to be 80% or higher. And it will just look through all the platforms and I'll recommend a movie for you. If you want to just narrow it down to Netflix or Prime Video, you can. But if you want it to go all across the board, yeah, if you're looking for a TV show, if you're looking for comedy or whatever, it will do that filtering for you and recommend a movie for you, or you can just go on their site and see what they got that's hot. But um, yeah, I thought it was cool for you know the people who are struggling to find some. If you got multiple streaming apps like I do, I'm always wasting time. Like, hey, what are we gonna watch? You for sure.
SPEAKER_01So I'm my my uh follow-up question to this is how many fights have been caused by not being able to find a movie? Yeah, and this is the the the the the um how can I say the trouble I be getting at home is I love watching trailers. Oh, you do like I'll be flicking through something, watch a trailer, flick through the next thing to watch a trailer, flick through the thing, watch a trailer. Like I'm watching trailers for like an hour. Okay, she's over here. Like, if you put on one more damn trailer and not pick a movie, uh watch streaming service. I mean, I I usually Netflix is usually Hulu is my second.
SPEAKER_04Um like you go in to watch the trailers because if you go on on Netflix and you select, like let's say you're gonna browse to the right, the trailer does come up automatically for you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what I do, and I just let it play and then I switch to the next one. So it's almost like Netflix actually sets. I mean, on other platforms I still do that. I do that on Plex as I go look for trailers. Like if if it don't only have a trailer, I'm not even gonna watch it type stuff. So uh but Netflix actually sets me up because it automatically played trailers. So I like this site here because uh the the in and I I don't even know how to explain this. I think we have too many options, bro. Like if you think about when we used to watch TV back in the days, you had to be home at 7:30, 8 o'clock, 6 30 to watch Martin, to watch Fresh Prince of Bel Air or watch a show. If you didn't, if you missed it, you missed it, right? It's like there was no like replay pause on demand, um, and let alone uh uh a library of movies. I just think it's just way too much. Like so much, bro.
SPEAKER_03There's so much stuff I want to watch that's on Plex, I just don't have the time. I don't like so much stuff, man. Yeah, how do you pick your movies, D?
SPEAKER_04Um well, first of all, I have a whole bunch of shit on my list. Okay, you go there first. So I'll go there first to see what I want to watch. If I see if I go in there, I have to because it it gets piled up. I got so much stuff in my list, want to watch, and then I'm always focused. What happens is I don't go to my list, I'm focused on what's new, and then like damn, I forgot I got this stuff on my list. So I try to knock as much stuff as I can in my list, okay, and then then I go to what's new, but first I go to what's new and what's already out, and then I add it to my list. Once I add that, scroll through the old new list, new coming, go to that, and then I go to my list, and I'll be like, okay, let me go to that. Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02All right. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Me, it's uh first wife, wifey gets first pick. Okay, shit. Okay. And then and then I go usually afterwards. But then there's different rules that we have. So we were like, all right, um, it can't be death and murder, uh, it can't be horror. Like we like we set restrictions on what it can be, and then the person goes off and look, right? Okay. Uh, and and really what it really is is that uh we you I don't know how y'all do it, y'all, y'all significant other, is it's like there's always a clash of what they like versus what you like. Absolutely. Because for me, I I want like uh uh action military or alien, you know, uh interstellar type movie, like, or I get like philosophical and I wanted to watch a documentary, and then she wants to go watch, you know, uh uh Death and Murder or Investigative or this, and I'm like, man, it's always like a uh a back and forth with us. Yeah, it don't happen in my household. Yeah, y'all y'all watch the same? No. What do y'all do?
SPEAKER_04So if whoever's watching TV first, uh let's say you're watching, for example, uh a murder uh episode. And I'm like, okay, and then I say, Hey, you want to watch a movie together? And she was like, Yeah, let's go. I'm down. I said, Okay, when you're done watching that, let's see what we got. So I let her finish exactly what she's watching, or vice versa. She finishes, she goes, When I'm done watching my show, I'm done watching it. Then once that's done, then we watch whatever we want to watch together.
SPEAKER_02Ah, that's some nice compromising.
SPEAKER_04We don't freaking pause that shit. Okay, let's feel it. Nah, we don't do none of that shit. That's cool. You finish your crap. That gives me enough. You pause it, I see how many much time you have left. Okay, I got 18 minutes left. I got 18 minutes to do what the fuck I need to be doing, get a drink, go to go uh take a shower or whatever the case may be, and then I go away, ready to watch whatever we can watch. That's cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay. How about you, Raymond?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, I need to implement that. Yeah. I'm learning something new, bro. Yeah, I'm learning something new. Cause yeah, pretty much we just stop what you're doing, and then we just but I like that idea though. That's good. Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_04She's watching a movie that's like two hours, I'll be like, yo, fuck it. So we ain't gonna watch the movie.
SPEAKER_01But but you also have the thing where you just won't even watch it, you just go do your own thing.
SPEAKER_04No, I have to go do mounting. I got other TVs, so I'll watch them out.
SPEAKER_01We talk about his Alexa.
SPEAKER_03We need to talk about how many TVs you got in your house, but that should sound like a conversation for another podcast.
SPEAKER_01Another another podcast. Okay. All right. All right, Rain. Well, appreciate the RealGood.com website. If you are looking for a movie to watch, check out realgood.com. Um and realgood.com, y'all need to send us a check. Raymond's Raymond's pulling out coat tickets. So once y'all's sites start to get more hips, you y'all know where it came from. Um, but what else you got on your list, Player?
SPEAKER_03All right, so I got another show
Dubbing Frustration And The Polygamist
SPEAKER_03here. Like, some people's been like, you gotta watch this show. I can't believe I'm even talking about this. But before I even talk about it, I want to ask you guys, what are your take on those shows that have the bad dubbing where the lips don't match when the people's talking? What is your opinion on that, D?
SPEAKER_04Uh, first of all, I check my connection. I'm not gonna lie to you. Something's off. Yeah, something's all so what I do is I turn off, I turn off my Wi-Fi, return on my Wi-Fi, and if it's happening again, then I'm like, oh shit. But nine times out of ten, it's it's just a delay. So that's usually what what it is for me. Okay. What about you?
SPEAKER_01For me, um as of late, Netflix has been showing a lot of international movies. Yes. And I could then I can you know, me, I'm reading my reading the lips, yes, right. Um and it don't line up well. Yeah. Um what I actually do is I actually stop seeing them talk and I just look well, the captions becomes the things that I'm more or less looking at, right? Um but then I I don't like watching. Watching with captions because then I'm always focusing on the caption. Yep. And I'm almost predicting what's gonna happen because I'll read the caption and I'm waiting for them to say it. Right. Uh so it has like a catch 22 type situation for me. Right. Um, but it is noticeable.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like I can't stand those international shows and movies when Wow, they're good. There's some good ones. There's some good ones, but I refuse to watch them. If the lips is not like a normal person, I cannot stand it. And my girls, the same way, like you said, you gotta turn the captions on. I'm like, I don't want to read. I want to watch a movie. Yeah, I don't want to read a book. But there is one that there's a show that has the caption. The person like, oh, just give it a chance. The lips don't match. And I'm sure your wife has probably watched this show. I know D Hustle has not, but it's called The Polygamist. Actually, my wife did watch this one. So this is the most dysfunctional show I've I'm watching this show with my girl right now. It's African show, The Lips Don't Match. I gotta say, I'm very entertained. Yes. This show is this is not something I would go for. I would never watch this, but it is very entertaining. It's very cuckoo. It's very off the wall. A lot of taboo. A lot of taboo. Like I uh I'm not done with it, but yeah, if you ain't got nothing to watch, I would check it out. So it's getting a lot of buzz and stuff like that. Like I said, this is not something I would typically go for, but we are watching it and it's very entertaining. So it's 22 episodes. That seems like a lot. 22? But the episodes are short, they're like 25 minutes. Okay, okay. But uh very, very entertaining show. So yeah, so you said your wife has watched it, Bubby D? Yeah, she she's definitely watched this.
SPEAKER_01Actually, I came uh where was I at? Actually, I went out of town. You know, I had gone to the West Coast for a little bit. Yes. Um, and I came back into town, and you know, us chilling and stuff like that, and trying to see what she's watching, and then she puts that on and like, oh, I got like one more episode to finish. Yeah. And she was watching the last one, and then she started to tell me the story, and I was like, Oh my gosh, this is like uh how how did you get through it, first off? But I think it's like it gets you hooked, like you're doing, yeah. Right, it's like a soap opera hookish type thing that you gotta see it all the way through. Yeah, um, but she liked it. She said it it's tough to relate, yeah, but she understands, yes, uh, and it's very entertaining. Yeah, um, but yeah, that's wild though. Yeah, okay. Hustle, have you heard about this or you've watched it?
SPEAKER_03No, I haven't watched it once.
SPEAKER_04So I'm just trying to figure out why this show pops out more than the other ones that you didn't like.
SPEAKER_01Oh, until the lip syncing one? Yes, yeah. Uh the other ones weren't lip syncing. No, just in general.
SPEAKER_03The other lip syncing one that you did I recommend another lip syncing one? No, yeah. I typically I will I will You won't even watch it.
SPEAKER_01I won't watch it. So you're saying that even with the lip syncing thing that you normally don't watch, you still watch this.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I gave it a chance because I was like, I almost gave up in the first 10 minutes. Yeah. But I was like, let me stick it through. I watched the first episode, and we just it's addicting. So yeah. So but yeah.
SPEAKER_01I heard he's addicted.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so he is, yeah. Don't give it away. But yeah. No, I'm not gonna give it all away. It's crazy. Yeah, my sister, my girlfriend's sister, everyone has binged this in like two days. It's wow, it's a crazy show. So yeah, I recommend it. I'm not done with it. 30 minutes? Yeah, they're like 25 minutes. 25 minute episodes. Yeah, it's very addicting, D. You were like this. You and your girl would like to, or your wife. It's entertaining. It's entertaining, so yeah. I'm not saying it's great television or nothing like that. It's an African show.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't say it's I mean, there's nothing wrong with it being an African show. It's just uh it's just a different culture that has different um belief systems. Yes. And then they, you know, dramatize it basically.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So uh so I I mean I I was my so that's the other thing about my wife. She does an extremely great job explaining movies to me and shows that it's literally like I watched it. Oh, that's great. Um, but back to what you were talking about, the the dubbing part, right?
AI That Fixes Dubbed Lip Sync
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um low-key, and you can say that you heard it first here on the Tech Hustle podcast. Um, Netflix will be introducing something that will remove that dubbing of the voice or the dubbing of the mouth. Really? 1000%.
SPEAKER_03They got some tech coming out?
SPEAKER_01They they 1000% had some tech coming out. Um, and it and I think it's gonna be driven by AI, like a post-production type thing. Um, but there is a movie that I saw it the first time, and you have to watch it, and then you have and then as soon as you see it, you'll you'll understand what I'm talking about. I can't remember the name of the movie, but it was the one that had the sharks in France. Do y'all do y'all remember that seeing that one? Whereas like the water level in France got so high that they had sharks. Like you remember that one? I do.
SPEAKER_03I refuse to watch it.
SPEAKER_01Why? Because of the lips up. There is scenes in there that they're practicing utilizing the lip syncing part um with the dubbing. But it's one of those first ones that when you look at and listen, you can actually see how they're using AI to edit the video to remove what you're talking about is uh a sour for the movie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you do get a chance, you you never watched it? No. It's actually a decent movie.
SPEAKER_03I don't watch any movie that has the dubbing on the website. I don't.
SPEAKER_01But when you watch that, if you do, uh in terms of the audience, and I do want to encourage the audience, put comments below if you know any other movies that have the dubbing part, but also the technology I'm talking about, which is uh editing the mouth uh in the video movie so that it does line up with what they're saying.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm uh 1,000 with in the next few months, we're gonna report it on the podcast for sure. Oh, for sure. Interesting. Okay. Yeah. Because now more people's gonna watch it. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, because of that one little thing. Got it. Okay. All right, Raymond. Anything else, player? No, that's it. Well, as always, we very much appreciate your nuggets that you're bringing through. Um, definitely check out the website realgood.com, R-E-E-L, G-O-O-D.com for your movie selection. And then uh the movie that or the show that you're recommending, what was it called?
SPEAKER_03The Polygamus.
SPEAKER_01The Polygamus on Netflix, right? Yes. Yeah, it's a good watch. Uh and do you think they're gonna have another season?
SPEAKER_03Uh I'm not even done yet. Oh, you're not done yet? Oh, okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_01So we'll we'll find out in the next uh podcast uh what's your opinion on it? Yeah, all right, fellas. So uh next up is uh we got some tech insights. Uh cue up new music, D. Let's see if we can get that old school uh good jam that's up there. There we go. Nope, nope, nope. You thought it was uh sports center already? Yeah. Ready to jump on his part. He's ready, right? Uh well, uh, we are going to jump right into the tech insights
AI Tokens Explained In Plain English
SPEAKER_01section. Um, this is where I'm going to be talking to you all about technology engineering um and drop some knowledge about AI. I mean, I spent maybe a whole year last year and most of this year talking about AI. It's the top of subject for anybody interested in getting in this field. Uh, so one of the questions that came up, um, and I dropped the link inside of Discord, um, uh a blog post from Nvidia about what tokens are. Y'all y'all have heard of tokens, right, Raymond? Yeah. Yeah. So Raymond had asked me a question. You remember what you had asked me the other day about tokens?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I had asked you because I've been hearing a lot about it on the internet and stuff, and I was wondering if you could break it down Barney style on what it is.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So Barney style. Or or you remember that uh nugget that you gave uh the other day, uh E L E L S E L five? Yeah. Uh as if I'm E I five E I five. As if I'm like five years old or in fifth grade or something like that. Yes. Um, but yeah, I definitely will break it down for you. So um, first off, the word token, um, when you interpret it, um, you think of it as like almost like a coin or like an object that before I go through the poll toll, I gotta pay for something with a token, right? Um, and the way that AI works is that it processes your request as if it's a token. Now, how does it come up with the token? Uh, one of the ways that's described in this blog post is basically what it is is you take a word, or what most of us are giving AI is um like a paragraph of information, right? Um, and the cool thing that AI does is it breaks those up into smaller pieces, right? So if I have a long sentence sentence that say, My name is Bobby D, right? My name is Bobby D. The way that AI views that my name is Bobby D is that every word, we'll leave it at that, every word is its own token. So my is a token, name is a token, Bobby is a token, and then the letter D by itself is a token. So that means there's four tokens that you're gonna be utilizing to actually send it to AI, right? And then AI process it and be like, all right, um, happy to meet you, Bobby D, right? Happy to meet you, Bobby D. So the response is happy, which is one token, two is another token, me is another token, Bobby is another token, and D is another token. So that communication back and forth with AI literally costs me eight tokens because four tokens I sent and then four tokens I got back. Does that make sense? So the concept of tokens is basically how AI is chopping up your words or your sentences that you're passing in when you're chatting with it. So whenever you're in Chat GPT and you ask ChatGPT, like, uh, how do I, you know, uh fix this computer that has this error message, right? Um, and then you paste in the error message in there. All of those words that you put in, AI is basically making and taking those as tokens. Now, the thing about tokens is it also lets you know what AI actually reads. So AI is not actually reading the words, they're reading the token. And what AI is actually doing in terms of deciding how to respond, respond to you is responding back to the next token that it thinks your response should have. And then it's basically a snowball effect. Now, the reason why you mostly hear people talk about token is tokens costs. So when I said, hey, my name is Bobby D, I sent four tokens. I sent four tokens and it cost me four tokens to send those four tokens. And then I got a response back from them for another four tokens. That means it cost me another four tokens, a total of eight tokens. And why am I bringing up cost with this? Because that's actually where the hustle is. Is that that's going to be the way that AI is going to make money off of us because we got to go buy tokens to be able to talk to it. Does that make sense? So let's say that I want to send it a paragraph. All right, I need to go buy a hundred tokens. I got a hundred tokens in my pocket. All right, here goes the paragraph. It takes 50 tokens, right? And then when it replies back, it sends back 40 tokens. That means I spent 90 tokens total. That means out of my hundred, I spent 90. That means I only got 10 left. I can't even have another conversation because I don't have enough tokens or money to talk to AI. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So that's basically how AI is working right now, is it's all based on tokens. Now, the way that we're able to not see it, which is what I am actually um preparing a lot of people around the cost of AI, is right now we are getting free tokens. So if you don't pay for Chat GPT for $20 a month, or you're using Gemini, you're not paying for any tokens right now. You're basically getting those tokens for free. Eventually, they're gonna charge us for each of those tokens. Eventually they're gonna charge us for like, hey, you need to go buy a thousand tokens to talk to me for today. Now, those thousand tokens might cost you five dollars, right? It might be five thousand, five dollars a thousand worth of tokens. But that's where they're gonna be moving in terms of how they're gonna really get money from us, is they're gonna take away the subscription, which is what we're dealing with right now, and say you gotta pay for every token. Okay, because what subscriptions do, and this is why a lot of people are uh really aware of tokens, is subscriptions are right now set up in a way where, hey, if I pay twenty dollars a month, ChatGPT says I give you one million tokens. If I were to go buy those one million tokens on the streets, I couldn't afford they wouldn't cost twenty dollars. They probably cost a thousand to two thousand dollars. But Chat GPT, Claude, and even Jim and I are basically letting us get tokens at a very cheap price with our subscription. Soon as we start to hear that number one, they're raising the prices of the token or raising the price of the subscription, because it's not gonna stay twenty dollars forever. It's gonna go up to thirty dollars. It's gonna be just like Netflix. Netflix started off, I believe my wife was like $5.99 to get a DVD, one DVD a month or something like that. And then when they went to the web, she went to $79, $7.99. And now she pays almost $23.25 for the same access that she had before, right? Is they're gonna do the same thing with subscriptions. That's what the hustle is, is to get everybody onto their platform as much as people like they can, and then they'll start to raise the price for the subscription, which is ultimately raising the price of tokens. So to answer your question, what are tokens? It actually is, and I've actually in the article, it talks about it being like a new gas. Okay, just like when you go to the gas station, yeah, you gotta go fill up your car. Right. If you're gonna drive 200 miles, you need to make sure you're good, right? Um, is you're gonna have to go get filled up before you even talk to AI. That's what it eventually is gonna get to. Does that make sense in tokens and what it's used for?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that does.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, any follow-up question on that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so because like sometimes you'll hear like the companies, they'll be like, hey, we burn through our whatever we tell our employees you can't use AI. Is that what the tokens are, I guess?
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So the things that uh a uh um open AI and uh anthropics are doing is they're not letting companies get subscriptions, they're making companies pay for one token at a time. So when a company goes to Anthropic and be like, hey, I want my engineering team to get it, Anthropic is like, All right, you need to buy a thousand tokens. All right, we'll buy a thousand tokens. And then they go their engineers go use it, not knowing that they're not that they're for every token, not subscription, and they're burning it out. Yeah, and then the company goes back and be like, Hey, I need to go get another thousand tokens because everything got burnt out. That's what they're doing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because even the interview I did last week, I was telling you guys I had an interview, and then one of the questions the guy was like, Hey, what are your thoughts on AI? I was like, What do you mean? I was like, he was like, Do you use AI? I was like, Yeah, I use chat, I use Claude, I use Gemini, and I use them all for something different. And I was like, What about you guys? You use AI? He's like, Yeah, we use AI very heavily at our job. And he was like, I have to tell the employees to slow down because they use it so much that it's costing us so much money. So, but yeah, he was like very encouraging. Like they use AI a lot, but they he has to tell them to slow down because it burns through, I guess, their tokens. So exactly. Yeah. So okay, that's good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, it that's that's exactly the the challenge that companies have or the new hustle is that companies are dealing with it, but eventually they're gonna push it down to us, you to you consumers too. Okay. Um, and and that's where and that that's where you know how when they're they're looking at the the the the potential market for AI, right, and everybody's like, I don't even know where they're gonna make money from. This is right where it is. Yeah. Because right now they're they're giving us $20 a month, and I get a million tokens. And that company that you're talking about for a million tokens probably pays like $200,000 for those million tokens. Right. But I'm only paying $20 for it. Do you get what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So eventually they're gonna take the twenty dollars and make it forty dollars, and then eventually from forty dollars to ninety dollars, and then they're not even gonna have like any small versions of a plan, and everybody's at a hundred to two hundred dollars a pop.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, which I I think it's it's easily to um well, what you're capable of doing with AI, it's an easy type of um jump. I I just don't know if society's ready for it yet. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Any questions, Dee? D's like, uh all I know is I'm staying on the free version. Facts.
SPEAKER_04I I mean, I I love the idea that you know they you they want to use token, but if if you really don't use it as much, yeah, no point of spending the money on it. Yeah. Like you guys probably use it on the consistent. I use chat GBT out of out of the day, maybe once or twice.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Uh other than that, I mean, if I need to look for something important or ask for something, then it's there for me. Yeah. But to use it on the consistent, which is I'm not in that level to you. If I have or need a job or or or whatever the case, then I'll probably invest. But you can't be grandfather then. For real, man.
SPEAKER_01He's like, yo, yeah, y'all gotta keep me on that same plan, bro.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's funny.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, man. Subscriptions are dangerous, bro.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and even the guy that I had did the interview with, he was like, they have the enterprise subscriptions. I know it's for like all of them. Yeah. So I can't even imagine how much those cost.
SPEAKER_01And they're burning that out.
SPEAKER_03And they're burning, he's like, he's gotta tell his staff to slow down because they're making apps and doing all kinds of crazy shit. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, no, I use it every day. Like I use it at at work now, like for everything. Like one to do my emails, another one for troubleshooting, and then the other one, you know, for whatever. But yeah. Your side hustle. Yeah, side hustle. There you go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, man, that that's that's gonna be the new um way that uh they're gonna rack up those uh those those, you know, uh costs because it's the new currency.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, even the open AI CEO made a comment a couple weeks ago or a couple months ago. He was like, Information is gonna cost. Yeah, it's gonna be a cost for information.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So he's kind of like letting you know. Yeah. So and you see there's ads now in Chat GPT. Exactly. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Like that that that's the crazy part of what uh AI is evolving into is um I'm I'm seeing it being used um even more than what it was before, uh, which is always great in terms of uh product market fit. Basically, the market is picking up and everybody's buying into it. Um, but I I don't like this sleight of hand type thing where um before you know it, uh a $20 subscription, um, people don't get grandfathered in, and now it's fifty dollars, and now people are not gonna use it because they can't afford it. That like that that's the part of AI that I think it should always be affordable for anyone to be able to access it because it is a life-changing tool that if you're not using it right now, highly encourage you to go and try them out. Um, and actually, shameless plug here. Uh, if you are looking for resources, you're looking for uh uh uh accountability group, you're looking for uh workshops, uh uh you're looking for webinars, put it down in the bottom in the comment below that you're looking for resources because we here at the tech host are always developing you know courses, content around different skills that people can level up. And we've definitely we've done some stuff on AI, but I I I think it's about time that we ramp it up even more. So um, if you're interested, uh put a comment in below, let me know that you're interested, um, and definitely we'll get some more resources out to y'all because uh this is the new era that we're going in. Um, and I I want to make sure that we all have uh the right skill sets uh to succeed in this ever-changing environment. So all right then. Um, but again, thank y'all so much for hanging out with me for the tech insights. Uh Raymond, thank you for asking that question. Um, and if y'all do have any other tech questions y'all want asked of anything tech, anything engineering, anything about the culture, because you know, my guys, they they they're ready to go. Uh we'll definitely, you know, fill you in. So drop a comment below and we'll definitely follow up. Um, before we jump into the next section here, uh check out this quick ad read.

Sports Center Roundup Then LeBron Debate
SPEAKER_04Hope everybody has a phenomenal Tuesday again. Like I said, if you haven't seen us before, we're at the tech hustle here. And this is the sports section. Let's get the business center. Yeah. Tech Hustle Sports Center. What do you say? Tech Hustle Sports Center. Tech Hustle Sports Center. Tech Hustle Sports Center. Let's go.
SPEAKER_01Right? That's what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_04All right, let's get down to business. NHL, ladies and gentlemen, NHL is not on right now, but if you guys are getting ready for NHL, preseason is getting started ready in the beautiful September, several months away right now. Right now, everybody's in Cancun, enjoying time with their family and friends. Yep. Uh, and other than that, you know, shout out to those champions and giving that love. Uh let's go to boxing. Boxing is going on right now. There's a lot of stuff going on in boxing. Roley Romero is getting ready to defend his title soon. Mason retires title after a dramatic 12-round TKO. Mayweather and uh both did as a judge deny his issue. Uh and then more other crap is ready to uh launch. Uh so we'll see what happens. Formula Uh, Formula Uh, ladies and gentlemen, is going on. If you guys are not watching Formula Uh, let us know right now. But if you guys need to know exactly what's going on over there, my man Kimi's still holding up uh the love over there. Uh Shady's number one, Ferrari number two, McLaren number three, and number four, Red Bull. It's always been those four guys in different orders. Uh, I don't know what's going on uh with Red Bull. They're all the way down in sixth place. So hopefully they're uh figure out things. If you need a writer, let me know. I am more than happy to start driving. All right. All right, ladies and gentlemen. If you're not watching tennis, tennis is on, ladies and gentlemen. Right now, they're having the Wimbledon bracket for 2026. Right now, this uh Jay Sinner has BJ Struff uh in that competition. So Jay Sinner has advanced to the next round, and then the next round is gonna be Augur Alysim versus uh Dokovic. Uh, that is gonna be right now as we watching. So right now, uh Augur is winning the bout. Uh and then there is Call of Billy and Fury versus uh T Fritz and man, if I'm butching the name, ladies and gentlemen, I do apologize about that. But hopefully uh they get the point. Uh WWE Lady. Oh, hold on, hold on. You did you didn't mention Serena. Serena's still at it. Oh, Serena, oh, oh yeah, I'm sorry. Serena got knocked out first round. Did she? Um in case you guys did not know, first match that she came back already, first match has been eliminated. As far as the competition with Serena and uh and the doubles, the sisters, the sisters has been pulled out from uh the tag team due to being injured. Uh so they have stepped down also from tag team elimination. Uh so the Serena Sisters are out as we speak.
SPEAKER_01Uh so well at least we shout them out.
SPEAKER_04Shout them out. Uh NFL, ladies and gentlemen, NFL is not happening right now. Right now, they're getting ready preseason. Right now, they are in camp, uh you know, practicing, doing what they got to do. A lot of stuff is going on right now, a lot of weird stuff going on in NFL. Um, you know, for example, former Titan Scout uh Taylor found guilty of murder. What? Uh, you know, uh oh uh your favorite player, uh Kelsey just told the knot. We'll have Taylor Swift and Madison Square Garden out of all fucking places. I don't know why Madison Square Garden.
SPEAKER_01I mean the championship was there, bro. But whatever. But you're right.
SPEAKER_04I guess they want to see what a championship feels like, so hopefully they see uh it's funny how they invited the Knicks to the to the ceremony to the wedding. To the wow, you know, it is what it is. Uh CD uh Douglas uh to sign with commanders, quarterbacks uh William uh gift the Pope an autograph jersey. Wow. Um and then Cowboys players can lead Dynos with CTE. Are you listening to the to the podcast? I just want to make sure he thank you for checking CTE. Uh uh Kellis Campbell's mother died, brother, brother is charged. Uh a lot of crap uh going on, you know. Peyton calling fourth down fake punt versus the Bills. You know, there's a lot of garbage crap going on right now that's not related to football, but it's football news.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04All right. Uh other than that, as far as football news, uh, in case you guys did not know, um uh how you call it again, the Lions announced that they had released uh quarterback uh Trevan Arnold. Um, and then other than that, I mean anyway, this is all garbage.
SPEAKER_01It's preseason. How's the Giants looking in preseason?
SPEAKER_04Uh Giants' uh preseason is looking good. Uh for some odd reason. We signed uh Odell Beckham Jr. for some fucking odd reason. I have there. Um I don't know if he's gonna bring the finger catch back again. I'm not too sure, but I I if we're bringing him back, which means we're having some issues in the wide receiver position. Yeah. So hopefully neighbors comes back completely healthy since his beautiful injury that he did, and my man Cab uh also uh in his leg injury. Hopefully he comes back successfully.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Uh and BA, ladies and gentlemen, if you guys are not watching NBA because the giant the next one, uh, but there is a lot of movement. It seems like there's a lot, a lot of heat going on, a lot of people mad that the next one. That seems like an SOL problem for y'all. At the end of the day, I am here uh enjoying the victory. I am going to enjoy it as much as I can right now. But you know who's not who's not feeling good about it? The Heat. The Heat just signed Giannis. If you guys have not heard it, uh Giannis is over there. Um he does not play for Milwaukee anymore. He is playing for the lovely Heat now. Jalen Brown has been moved uh as a trade to from the Browns. Uh, I mean from the Boston Celtics to uh how you call it to uh Philadelphia. Is it Philadelphia Phil? 76ers, I think. Yeah, 76ers and um Paul George gets to go from the 76ers to uh the lovely uh Celtics. Uh my man Tatum is uh having a heartbreak uh meltdown because Brown left. Um other than that, uh how you call it uh big big payday for my man Donovan Mitchell gets 273 million extension for four years. Kyle Larry retires is about damn time because he wasn't doing nothing. He was on the fucking bench. Um Jokic opts out uh to wait for the Nuggets until 2027. Uh Lamar Odom decides to enter a plea deal for DUY case. I have no idea why the fuck we're talking about Lamar Odom because the guy ain't doing nothing, but he's still with the Kardashian. It is what it is. That's the sports story. I thought it was a sports story. Uh DeRosa has been waived by the Kings. I am very, very shocked because he's a blood, he's a crib. We don't know, but I guess they're not feeling that over there in the lovely uh Kings organization. Uh, but other than that, ladies and gentlemen, that is all I got for the lovely basketball. Oh, and Kawhi Leonard decides to go back to the lovely Toronto in case you guys not have a interesting uh for the situation there. Um, other than that, great, great picks uh for NBA draft. If you guys have not seen it, a lot, a lot of move. Oh, and your favorite, uh everybody's fucking favorite player, LeBron J. Hames. Um, you know, it's a trend yet? We don't need uh we're good. We are good over here in our end.
SPEAKER_01Yo, did y'all did y'all see the memes of all the Kobe fans that come back to the Lakers now? I don't I don't know if y'all saw those.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I have seen a lot, a lot of Lakers fans excited and happy that LeBron is leaving the team. That's weird.
SPEAKER_01I was surprised. That's weird to you.
SPEAKER_03Why are you weird? Why is it weird to you? He gave you eight good years. He won you around last week. I mean, a couple months ago. That's just one a chip. It doesn't make any sense to me. Now, look at like how Stephen A's clown and the Lakers. It's nothing but white people on there. Oh, that's a different story. It's gonna be nothing but passes and assists. There's no dunks or nothing. Like, who's gonna watch this team now? Like, but there were some Lakers that didn't watch it because LeBron was there. But now it's a white show. Like, it's the white. I mean, it's gonna be the most boring team.
SPEAKER_04Uh, first of all, uh Stephen Smith just talks a lot of shit. It's first of all, number two, he's got a baller, he's got Luca balling. There's no such thing as fucking there's gonna be white. Of course, they're not you working about Duncan? Because your man does the only time your man dunk is when he's in the open. He's not the same anymore. Um he's not going to the lanes Duncan, so LeBron won't have that shit in him anymore.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I I'm just saying it's not gonna be an exciting team to watch.
SPEAKER_04Oh, you that's why the that's why they're gonna go ahead and regroup. I mean, you still got Bronny.
SPEAKER_01Do they?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, uh I like how I like how the fans they just they just say.
SPEAKER_04Anyway, uh, yeah, they gave the they gave the guy so what the fuck LeBron has done for the Lakers in the eight for the past eight years. Let's let's let's put it there. One fucking trip in eight years?
SPEAKER_03Hey, some people haven't got a chip ever.
SPEAKER_04There's a lot of teams and that's a bubble. Ain't nobody counting that shit.
SPEAKER_03Okay, all right. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_04Who counts the bubble? What do you mean who counts the bubble? Besides you. Uh you have your own teammate, Alex Caruso, who says that shit don't even fucking count. He finally happy he got a real trip, and and it was a bubble. A lot of people have been saying the bubble don't fucking count. The only reason it counts because of COVID, everybody was fucking bored at home and they had to make some type of entertainment for the road. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I I don't know. I can't I can't speak.
SPEAKER_04How many times y'all went to the final and then the eight times y'all went there?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Do the math. Do the math. Yeah. This is your goat we're talking about. Let's fuck it. This is yours. You see how they say mine. I mean this is your goat. Eight times. I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's why you're trying to get one more.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01So that he can shut everybody up.
SPEAKER_04He misses the and misses it on a consistent basis. Yeah. The only thing that he has done for the Lakers is I'll give him the fucking bubble. And he passed first place for the all-time of scoring. Of scoring. Other than that, he has not done not a goddamn thing for the Lakers. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Let's be realistic. What has he done? I mean, you're a Lakers fan. You're a Brown fan. I mean, the East.
SPEAKER_03I don't think they're gonna sniff the first round this year.
SPEAKER_01You don't think they're gonna sniff the first round?
SPEAKER_03No, it's not in the playoffs.
SPEAKER_04And how will you know that?
SPEAKER_03I'm just saying, this team is not, it doesn't look great. This is it's yeah. So you're worried about the Lakers or are you worried about LeBron?
SPEAKER_04My focus is on LeBron right now. I'm not worried about the Lakers.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Well, I'm just saying, I am a Lakers fan. I don't think they're gonna sniff the first round. So Okay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Understood. What about Yobraun? LeBron? Is he gonna take a bench roll or is he gonna get a max deal?
SPEAKER_03Uh he's not gonna get a max deal. He will take a veteran to get on a team that's pretty built to try to win a final chip. Yeah, make a good run.
SPEAKER_04You're saying he's gonna take a bench roll.
SPEAKER_03Uh no, he's not taking a bench roll. And that's where the problem lies. He's gonna take a pay cut. I agree with you. He should take a bench roll.
SPEAKER_01You think he's gonna take a pay cut?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he's got no choice. Yeah. Yeah, you can't pay a 41-year-old 50-something million dollars.
SPEAKER_01Bro, uh I I don't know if he's scared of retirement, but there's some people that say he's selfish, you know, like him.
SPEAKER_03Was it Ronaldo who just got put out yesterday, and Serena Williams? There's some people that can't give it up. Brady, you know, he freaking. I mean, but there's still other ways to contribute to the game, though. I agree, but look at that. Brady lost his marriage because he didn't want. He wanted that final. Come on, he didn't lose his marriage over that, bro.
SPEAKER_01Okay, there's there's so much. First, we don't know what's really going on. Okay, I'm just saying you can't throw that out there.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'm just saying in my opinion. All right, there are people that say that you know, you're selfish, you know, give it up. Like LeBron.
SPEAKER_01I mean, if he has one more year in it, one thing that you don't want to do is when you're done and be like, oh, I had one more in me.
SPEAKER_03All right, what about Serena? Do you agree with her coming back? Retiring and coming back? I don't agree. I agree. Like, I don't think so. I mean, I'm gonna support, I'm gonna screw for her. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_01But but the the the challenge with that is like you, and and this is the the thing that I always felt um is you're almost tarnishing your legacy.
SPEAKER_04Uh hold on. Hold on, hold on, hold on. I agree in Serena coming back. Uh her timing was off. There's no way you're just gonna jump from been out for a good little minute now to come into the play the US Open. Like that's fucking absurd for me. Where have you been all these years, young lady? To come out. You practicing on the low is a different story. But to come out to get knocked out on the first, that is embarrassing for me. Alright, let's get that out the way.
SPEAKER_03Selfish.
SPEAKER_04You're you're a phenomenal lady, you're a goat, you're doing your thing. Your timing is way off. Maybe if you were to start in the beginning of the year of the regular fucking season and just to see, you know, how things land, and then if you're you're in top shape, let's get down to then I'll give you all that. That's like that's like saying Joe Mantana's gonna come out, he's gonna play the fucking Super Bowl. And you see fucking the the first 17 interceptions in the fucking ever in the world. This is not the Joel we see. Why did he come back? Like it doesn't make any sense.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04It doesn't make any sense.
SPEAKER_01See, that that's the part about coming back, or not not putting you know your boxing gloves up. Um, I'm always uh worried that they're gonna tarnish what they left behind.
SPEAKER_04But yeah, all right. At the end of the day, like I said, eight years uh in Lakers. Yeah. Uh one chip, which we nobody usually cut counts it, but only Lakers fans count it because you know it is what it is. Expect the maximum deal because he wants to be like Kobe, get that extent and give a good good farewell. My nigga, you ain't Kobe. Let's get that out the way.
SPEAKER_03I think eight and one is good. Giannis did how many years in Milwaukee and he got them one chip? He did 13 years.
SPEAKER_04But Giannis didn't get the help like LeBron does.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. But he jumped around a few different places, too. I'm talking about just the Lakers.
SPEAKER_04Well, he he had to go a few places to get to the Lakers.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04All right. Okay. Eight years over there, one fucking chip. Finals completely done. The only thing he has done that his everybody has done is the scoring. Oh, I not forgot that bullshit. First father and son go over. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Let's not forget about that great achievement. Uh when his son threw the alley hoop, you know. So that's the only thing you got, right?
SPEAKER_01That's that's the only thing they remember. I hope they have that on a poster somewhere. Yeah, definitely on a that's it.
SPEAKER_04Other than that, uh, good luck in trying to get a max deal. Good luck on trying to feel go well. Yeah, uh, we good in the Knicks over here, ladies and gentlemen. Uh, but other than that, thank you guys.
SPEAKER_01Appreciate you, D. And we always got some good uh back and forth on your guy, LeBron, but uh, I think it's coming to an end.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it is. For me, it's gonna be a completely end. I can't wait till he retires and get the fuck out of this book.
SPEAKER_01I think there's gonna be a celebration.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna celebrate it. I'm gonna have a party. I'm gonna throw a party.
SPEAKER_01I heard he's moving to golf next, right? He's swinging the golf club, bro. Goodness, K. He's about to be out there.
SPEAKER_04Anything to be like Jordan, K.
SPEAKER_01God, yeah, bro. Does that define a GOAT? Is other people following your path?
SPEAKER_03I mean, everybody plays golf. Ah Curry plays golf too. Does is he like chasing Jordan?
SPEAKER_00Yes, they all are. They all are. They all are.
SPEAKER_04I mean, at the end of the day, if you really want to talk about GOAT, I will I will put Steph over LeBron. Because at the end of the day, they played four times, and out of the four times, Curry was successful, three to one. I mean the only thing, and the only reason, the only thing you give him is because he came back from a 3-1 series, and that for him made him the goal against Dev Curry.
SPEAKER_01Well, it wasn't just him, it was a team, right? It was a team.
SPEAKER_04For him, it's just him. No, come on. If you don't follow, if you if you're not, I am a LeBron hater, and I realize that everything that LeBron does, every time a credit goes, it goes to him. Yeah, it's me, me, me, me. When he loses, he points the finger to everybody. Now, a LeBron fan should know that, but they would not say that out in public. They won't say that. Right? Right, Raymond? I mean, exactly my point. You see, I rest my case. You can continue.
SPEAKER_01All right, y'all.

Getting close to the end. Until he signs, which is impossible. Until he retires. That's what I'm trying to say. Depends on what he does next, too. Because he might go get a drive a car company too, like uh start doing NASCAR and uh formula.
SPEAKER_03It'd be funny if he signs with the Knicks.
SPEAKER_01It would be hilarious. I mean, it it will it will be one for the books. Uh uh.
SPEAKER_04We will definitely have to give you a hard fucking no one. Oh man, delegate. He's gonna have to take a bench roll. Uh we already good over here in Ireland. I can't believe I'm even saying that. That's wild. Take him as a bench roll, but at the end of the day, it's all about money. It's gonna bring a lot of money into my organization. Oh, yeah. Uh, and the Knicks are really very, very can emphasize much. We pick up washed up play. And unfortunately, LeBron falls in that category.
SPEAKER_01So you emphasize the washed up part, and then you attach LeBron James' name to the washed up part.
SPEAKER_04If you look at the Knicks' history, I'm a Knicks fan for years. You see what I'm talking about. You know, look through the research, and if you need me to recap it for you, I'll bring in next next episode and I'll let you know the washed up plays that we got.
SPEAKER_01Well, I was saying this to a friend of mine that this this this until next year, you can't really talk much about Knicks fans. So uh Knicks fans have the mic. So uh whatever they fill in, yeah, y'all gonna fill it. Uh first off, I want to say thank you so much for getting to this point of the podcast. Uh, but as always, I just want to let y'all know this is where we come and hang out and really do appreciate all the love that we receive. Um, and tell a friend about us, share, like, and let everybody know in the world that uh we're holding it down here.
